Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference?

Hi My problem is heart is paining upper side middle side lower side and back side at least 4 months and I am check on dtd. April .16 lipid profile . Normal report ECHO. Normal Report TMT. When all the reports related to heart are normal it is less likely to be cardiac. The cervical x ray shows involvement of nerve roots supplying areas on chest, back, shoulders, axilla etc hence the pain is most likely to be neuaralgia. Stretch your neck and avoid forward bending of neck. If needed a cervical collar may be used to prevent forward bending of neck. Do not use pillows below head and do not sit in or lie down in abnormal postures in sofas while viewing television. This will definitely help in reducing your pain.

Ayurveda and Knee Pain

Ayurveda is a very old system of medicine, which originated in India. Using herbs found in nature to cure various illnesses, knee pain can also be permanently cured with this method indigenous to India. It reduces knee pain caused by various illnesses including arthritis, inflammation of the cartilage and wearing of the patella among others.

Here are some common Ayurvedic remedies, which help reduce knee pain:

  1. Alfalfa: Alfalfa is medically known as Medicago Sativa. Alfalfa is excellent for making sure that your joint pain reduces, when taken in liquid form four times a day.
  2. Ashwagandha: Ashwagandha is medically known as Withania Somnifera. In the West, Ashwagandha is popularly known as Winter Cherry. Also, it has a lot of therapeutic properties, which include reducing joint pains. 
  3. Banyan: The Banyan tree's medical name is Ficus Benghalensis. It has a sap very similar to the form of rubber known as latex is derived from the Banyan tree. The Banyan tree's sap is externally applied over the joints and the pain usually disappears after a few regular applications. 
  4. Bishop's weed: The medical name for Bishop's weed is Trachyspermum Ammi. The oil extracted from this herb is usually applied to the knees to reduce the intensity of such knee pains.
  5. Celery: The medical name for celery is Apium Graveolens. Celery is not only an effective treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and associated pains in the knees, but it is also helpful in treating gout. It is usually agreed upon that this particular treatment is usually long lasting because of its alkaline nature.
  6. Dandelion: Dandelion's biological name is Taraxacum Officinale. It is rich in magnesium and is crucial for the correct mineralization of the bones. This mineralization allows the bones to become stronger and also prevents knee pain.
  7. Garlic: The medical name for garlic is allium sativum. Five to six cloves eaten everyday has proved to reduce knee pains.
  8. Ginger: Ginger is biologically called Zingiber Officinale. These can be easily included in your diet and go a long way in curbing knee pain.

Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

I have a problem in my elbow there is a pane in it please surest me exercise things please it is recommended.

Mostly pain in elbow is due to strained or inflamed soft tissues like tendon. There are many other reasons why pain in elbow occurs so to rule out the exact cause you need to go for proper investigation. Pain in elbow is common complain of players or housewives. After looking to your pain I would recommed you for some care that you can take at home. If possible visit some physio who can give you several mdalities like US, IFT etc to cure the pain. Along with it we have a special program designed in case of elbow pain (tennis or golfer’s elbow) like PNF, Hold Relax etc just to get relief from pain. Precautions: 1. Avoid weight lifting. 2. Avoid doing twisting moments like supination-pronation which usally is done while playing badmitton or while washing clothes. 3. Give rest to your work for some days. 4. Wear forearm band to rest your muscles. 5. Avoid bending your elbow into positions that cause the symptoms. Treatment: 1. Give rest to your elbow. 2. Ice and hot pack combo. Apply ice for 3 min and then hot for 2 min. There is very good result of both applications together. 3. Massage using your 2 fingers over the painful area. 4. Exercises: A) Palm lifting B) Elbow up and down in gravity eliminated position C) Strengthening of elbow muscles. These you can do at home. For any query please inform Good Luck and Get Well soon.

Was it a shoulder dislocation? if yes, you need to get an mri scan to find out the exact nature of the injury. It' s possible to cure shoulder dislocation injury even after one year. Other joints are not so forgiving and usually cause some disability.

Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. For your back pain: if you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. For legs pain: actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Please don't do half marathon without practice. 1. It may affect your heart and lungs, anyway nothing happen of that sort good. 2. About your knee joint its muscle spasm dip both your knees in 4 min in Hot water bucket and 3 min in cold water bucket with ice, its Contrast bath therapy it will reduce pain. 3. If still pain is there take ibrufen or myoril as muscle relaxant.
