Can I get marry with my grandmother's (Father's mother) elder brother's son's son? Whether any genetic problem in future or is it a consanguineous marriage?

MBBS, MD - Social & Preventive Medicine / Community Medicine, Fellowship of European Union of Sexual Medicine, Fellowship In Diabetes
Sexologist, Chandrapur
It is a consanguineous marriage but unless there is a trait in your family of blood disorders like sickle cell, thalassemia or madness, it doesn't matter. Anyway its a distant relation so 3rd degree. Go ahead.

Mid cycle is the most fertile period to help conceive. So if her periods was on 1st june and assuming she has 26-28 days cycles she would have ovulated 14 days before her next periods i. E 13 june. So it was pretty close. It can take upto a year to conceive assuming everything is normal. I think you should continue to try at least for the next few months if you are both below 30 years. Else see a gynaecologist to get further investigations done.

Hello lybrate-user, take a home pregnancy test. You can buy it from any chemist store, as soon as possible. If it is negative then there is nothing to worry about. Just relax and avoid stress for some days, using contraceptive pills can also cause disturbance in periods. Hope this helps.

Hello- Ejaculate/semen (the stuff that comes out when a man ejaculates) is made up of a lot of different things. One of its components is sperm. In a normal male ejaculate, there are anywhere between 20 and 400 million sperm. All you need to get pregnant is one. What normally happens after intercourse, is that a lot of the ejaculate does leak out. Some of it, however, remains in the back of the vagina (in the posterior fornix) and an even smaller amount makes its way up through the cervix, into the uterus and down the fallopian tubes. It is here, in the fallopian tubes, that the sperm and egg meet. So, the bottom line is that you don't need to lie in bed with your legs up after intercourse to get pregnant and the fact that semen is leaking out afterwards, doesn't decrease your chances of conceiving.

Hello, heavy menstrual flow on 1-3 days of menses is fairly normal unless it continues to 4-5th day of bleeding and adenomyosis has been the cause detected then you can actually opt for antifibrinolytics to reduce your flow. Please follow up.

You have two option for now either you can go for laproscopy to open your tubes, or you can go for ivf. In both the condition success rate will be less, but chances of conception are more in ivf, as with laparoscopy it is not necessary that tubes will be as healthy for pregnancy as earlier. So first see a infertility specialist with your reports.
