I am suffering from a pain in my left hand when I try to rotate my hand. When I try to lift as well try to put hand back to its original position. It pains and also some crick type sounds do comes. Please help me whether it's frozen shoulder or something with the rotator cuff. I used to do workout with weights. But that has been a long time .

The pain may be due to age related osteoarthritis of knee. Kindly do thigh muscle strengthening exercises like sitting on chair and lifting the leg straight hold for 10 sec and then relax repeat for 10 times in day and evening. Avoid climbing stairs, sitting down crossed legs, squatting, walking on uneven surfaces, hope this will relieve your pain.

Hi, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature. My advise for you: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

I just fell pain in my leg (specially in joint) after I got stuck by a ball on a knee. What to do?

Hi Apply cold pack for 20 minutes thrice a day for 5 days . Still you don't get relief than Visit physiotherapy or orthopaedic doctor for clinical examination may be there is some internal injury and further investigation is needed. Best wishes.

I am 29 year female and I have back pain from past 1 month. I have tried using painkiller tablets and ointment but fine no relief. What should I do now.

Usually mechanical back pain reduces by extension exercises. 1. Lie on your stomach for 5 minutes. Take deep breath 2. From same position prop up your upper body over elbow (the way you read a book in bed lying on your bed): 5 min 3. In standing keep your hand in the belt line and bend backwards. 10 repetition every 2 hours. Drink a lot of water and do not bend forward. Hope this helps.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 1 wk, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

As arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Dear anis, ointments or tablets will not reduce pain permanantly. I suggesr you to go for ultrasonic therapy to reduce pain faster. And do back strengthening excercises like lying flat on back. Raising leg 10 times sliding legs in straight position. You see the difference in a week.

Hello First of all you should take rest for 1-2 days so that your body can fight with underlying infection with its full immunity and start the below medication:- TakeRhus tox 200, twice daily . Take Eupatrium perf 200, 5 drops thrice daily. Take Antifebrinum 3x, 2 tabs , thrice daily. Take Alfavena malt, 1 tsf, thrice daily. Drink lots of water and take light homemade food like dalia and khichdi, avoid oily, spicy, fried, junk and cold drinks. I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately.

Hello. Yes, driving for so long can cause pain in back, because your back muscles are continuously working for long time and you start experiencing pain. Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Hello, bow legs defined as lateral angulation of knee cause can be due to growth abnormalities, development disorders, metabolic disorders like rickets etc. Scoliosis can be postural or non postural. Depending upon your posture curvature of body it's hard to manage your defense services. But you can improve your spine curvature by doing regularly exercises. Exercise or yoga can improve your muscular strength, endurance and improve stamina.

Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
