You know your problem strain take break between work take supplements and do strength exercise of both limbs it will help you reduce strain but strength exercise in gradually process.

I am 60 years young. I suffrer from back pain. I can not walk continious for more than 20 to 25 minutes. After that I must sit for 2 to 3 minutes. Then again I can walk further. Same way I can not stand for more than half hour. I ave to pause for 5 to 10 minutes sitting. Then again I can walk for another 15 to 30 minutes. Please advise what shoud I do and where to go? pain is down below at the end of spiral cord. So far I have never consulated any doctor in this connection.

Start with low-level activity and then gradually increase your activity level, in simple words, do proper warm up before starting your activity. Your muscles are taking time to fire.

Hello, Medication like methylcobalamine with muscle relaxant and analgesic will reduce pain; you can take them . I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level. Hope this answers your query. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

HI Your back pain may be radiating to your shoulder or sign of trapezities. Take 8 sessions of I.F.T and I.F.T followed by streching of back and shoulder, consult physio for same.

Hi, avoid lifting any weight.. walking slowly.. lying on thin bed. eat more calcium rich foods. take nuts almonds and banana. do simple exercises in morning hours like lying on floor straight .slowly lift your left leg, keep min15 sec. follow for 5times. take homeopathic medicine ledum palustre 30 twice daily for one week.. still pain not comedown consult me online..

Firstly avoid weight and take heat and cold pack for 10 to 20 minutes after this apply pain relief ointment. Your elbow muscle are week in slight process you can start strength exercise.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are young and if there is mild to moderate back pain without any associated symptoms like leg pain, numbness, paresthesias, any systemic symptoms like fever, loss of appetite etc, my advice for initial 2-3 weeks is: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc get back to me if your symptoms are not improving in next 2-3 weeks as we might have to get some investigations done for you. 1. Take one tablet of crocin pain relief as and when required after food up to a maximum of 3 tablets daily, 2. Drink plenty of water 3. Take adequate rest 4. Have adequate sound sleep in the night for 7-8 hours if you have recurrent attack of headache1. It could be a tension headache due to anxiety/stress, depression inadequate sleep, low bp/high bp, migraine, prolonged use of cell phone/computer, chronic anaemia, refractive error, chronic sinusitis, organic brain lesion 2. Avoid stress, physical and mental exertion, have adequate sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily in the night 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 5. Check for refractive error, sinusitis hemoglobin, bp 6. Avoid prolonged use of cell phone/computer 7. Consult neurologist to rule out other causes of headache, if required take a ct scan of head to exclude any brain lesion 8. If it is migraine you have to take migraine prophylactic drug after consulting neurologist.

There is effective cure, but it may take about 3 to 4 months for complete cure. 1. Please keep the feet dry. Avoid moisture of the feet. Even sweating of feet should be avoided. 2. Good foot care, keeping it clean and dry, open foot wear if possible is important. 3. Local application of anti-fungal ointment Terbinafine, twice a day till complete cure. 4. Scrapings of the fungus can be sent for culture and sensitivity tests and oral antifungals taken for 3 weeks.

Hi docs, i have severe pain in both my knees, and have been told its arthiritis. I am 67. I stya fit and am strengthening by legs, and all the relevant muscles.I swim play golf. Of late the pain also has increased. I have a high tolerance of pain. For medication I am taking Dolo 650 twice a day, and Glucosmine one a day. Can you suggest 1. A method to ease the pain. 2 . The most common form of morning stiffness and pain is due to muscle imbalances and poor conditioning of the muscles themselves. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and learn how to safely, easily, stretch and strengthen the weak and tight areas of your lower back and hips which cause pain while sleeping. Hi.My problem " my tale bone is dislocated as iwas fallen on the floor 3yrs before. I had shown an orthopedic . And i had done xray and some blood test(related to vitamin d) he advised me . To use cushion whenever sit on floor. And give some vitamins tab. And fish oil tab. But thr is nothing difference on my pain. Still having severe pain on sitting position .I m married and having 2kids. Plz help me out for my problem. Thank you

I am a 31.5 years old man who has been working in a Corporate environment for more than 11 years now. For the last 11+ years, I have been doing evening / night shifts. Recently, I have moved on a Project for 2 weeks where I have to do morning shift. From past 2 days, I have been waking up at 8 AM and go to bed by 12 / 1 AM. The issue is that I have started getting pain in my upper back (Parallel to Ribs). This pain starts around 10 at night and there is also a minor pain in my throat (Sore throat). When I wake up at 8 in the morning, the pain is there. However as I take a shower and get ready for work, the pain almost goes away and then starts again at 10 PM. I have never had this type of pain (In upper back) in my life. Infact, I really never had any body ache besides some minor back pain in back due to stress and that went away years ago. I am really confused whether it's due to change in lifestyle or is it something serious. I agree that my lifestyle is very unhealthy. I am a smoker who smokes 8 - 9 cigarettes a day and have been smoking from past 16 years.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, Upper back and throat pain is due to prolong sitting and environment of your work profile that you are doing right now. And you mentioned that you smoke from last 16 years right, so prolong smoker have many death full diseases n even death due to collapse of lung and smoke also dysfunctional of oesophageal track. So, in my opinion, my suggestion for upper back pain is a big deal, if you stopped smoking you save 3 thing first, your life from death full disease: you save the environment n you also save the world. About your pain, cercumductio n rotator motion of 3/4 times daily basis before you start your work.
