Apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot fomentation twice a day. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 after lunch and dinner. Avoid fermented food. Spicy food. Junk food. Eat green vegetables. Fuits. Drink minimum 7-8 glass of water everyday. Sleep for 7 hrs minimum. Do pranayama early morning. And do exercises.

Hii. Myself 14 weeks pregnant. I am suffering from lower pelvic stabbing from night after dinner. It will remain till the morning bowel movement. Therefore feeling uncomfortable at night when awaking for urination. And when I passed out wind I hot relief. The aches spread to back also. I have some constipation and loose motion problem also. 1.Take crocin 500mg one tablet sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2.Apply volini gel twice daily 3.Give warm compress locally 4. Take rest If you have recurrent attack of neck pain a)Take X ray cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b)Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading or working on computer. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.

Recently, I had a back pain. Doctor said I have a slip disc, but my age is just 30, moreover I hit the gym regularly. Maintained a healthy weights. Just because of this slip disc, I have stopped everything as because having a good and healthy body but a painful life is not a worthy thing. Doc had suggested a few exercise and not to bend forward. How could it be? Is it curable? please suggest me.

I am a male and 59. 6 yrs old. I have severe lower back pain near yhe tail bone. It increases when I lie down horizontally on my back. After getting up and doing some activity it reduces. This has been going on for the last two years or so.

Sir as you said it seems like coccydenia, go for physiotherapy treatment and use air ring for sitting and avoid sitting on hard surface and do hot fomentation.

May be you are not taking proper diet as you need high protein & low carbs diet with good exercises. Do back strengthening exercises at least thrice a week. Do some movements & stretches of your back & neck in between long sitting duty hours.

I have knee pain for couple of weeks. My Ortho prescribed me Supradyn, CarniQ, Shelcal and Etoshine. He advised me to avoid walking and sitting in floor but I couldn't as I just got married last week. I still have the pain but when I observed, is painful when an in office than at home. Could this be because of a vitamin d deficiency? What should I do then? It's painful only while walking and not at normal conditions.

If you are loading you knees with 96 kgs, which are designed to carry 70 kgs, they are going to give way some day. Do knee exercises, reduce your food intake, check your thyroid, eat more salads, healthy foods. Do not eat fried foods, maida, sugar etc.

Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x twice daily. Bhujang Asana x twice daily. Back Stretching.

Can Lower Back Pain Be Cured With Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is often tried as a first solution to a persistent lower back pain. Most doctors advise a patient of back pain for a four-week session as a conservative approach to pursuing aggressive treatment options such as surgery. The motive behind physiotherapy is to reduce inflammation, pain and increased function of the back. Physiotherapy also teaches a patient certain good practices in order to negate the possibility of getting the pain back.

Two Forms of Physiotherapy-

  1. Passive Therapy: This is a form of physiotherapy that includes an application of ice packs, electrical stimulation and heat application. These are the very first steps taken, before moving to routine physical therapy that involves following an exercise schedule, breathing technique etc.

  2. Active Therapy: Active physiotherapy includes undertaking of specific exercise schedule and certain stretching activities. The exact schedule is decided by the physiotherapist, depending on the location and duration of pain.

Benefits of Exercising-

The stability of the lower back is greatly dependent on the back musculature and abdominal spine. The muscle of the abdomen stabilizes the lumbar spine since they can generate pressure through the spine. Simply put the discs and the spine are all circled by muscles. It is necessary for these muscles to retain the strength in order to exert less pressure on the joints and the discs. There are ample medical literature stating the fact that active physiotherapy can make the surrounding muscle of discs strong. What’s more, a good physical exercise schedule will negate the likelihood of future spine related pain.

Some of the most common exercises include-

  1. Stretching: An active exercise schedule comprises adequate stretching to ensure gradual relief of conditions such as spasms and atrophy. These are caused due to certain conditions including inappropriate posture, nerve irritation, accidents related to the spine etc. Certain stretching involving the legs, back muscles, hips and abdominal muscle should be practiced. Stretching should be slow and gentle without any bouncing.

  2. Stabilization Exercise: Dynamic exercise includes the involvement of many exercises such as the usage of balancing machine and exercise balls in order to improve the balance of the lower back. They ensure the strengthening of the secondary muscles and improve the range of motion. The ultimate motive of stabilization exercise is to support the spine.

  3. Strengthening Exercise: There are a set of dedicated exercises often recommended by physiotherapists. The core motive is to ensure the strengthening of lower back and abdominal muscle. Some exercises include leg raise, sit-ups, crunches etc. Lower back exercise could be as simple as lying straight on the ground and raising the chest slowly towards the air and getting back to the same position. Good morning exercises also play a key role in strengthening the lower back muscles.
