I am suffering from ringworm like disease, treatment is going on but it keeps coming again and again? What should I do.
Ringworm or Tinea infections, are a fungal skin disease. A family of fungi called dermatophytes causes these infections which might occur anywhere on the body, typically the arms, legs, neck, groin, scalp, hair, nails or beard. The fungi survive on the dead skin cells or keratin and rarely invade the deeper membranes and tissues. However, many ringworm (or Tinea) infections often recur and the usual medicines simply do not help the patient. In such cases, homeopathic remedies for ringworm can help. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance

You need to care: Not to crush pimples You need herbal bitters by oral route (very bitter) to excrete bile and detoxification and raktashodhan. You need face care by pure Varnya Gana Herbs (classic herbs described in classic texts of Ayurveda) combo after cleansing of the skin and derma care and after that application of pure herbal hydration of skin. Jawline and facial fat can be corrected by cosmetic exercises/ massages easily. Botox is not advisable at young age. Instead use our anti aging and skin tightening pack fully responding and 100% natural. Pl consult if interested. I am sure if you use as instructed, you will always love to order it. 100% safe. 100% effective.

Hi ! Thanks for your query. Hair loss, now-a-days, is common among males and females of all age groups. We all lose some hair strands every day, however, some people lose more than normal strands in a day that can cause severe hair loss. Hair loss is mostly genetic, so if hair loss runs in your family, you are most likely to suffer from hair loss too. Hair loss happens either in clumps that is overall hair loss, or focussed on any one part of head - especially the crown. While genetics play a big role, some additional factors can aggravate hair loss - hormonal imbalance, stress, thyroid disease, anemia, protein deficiency, chemotherapy, and low vitamin levels may cause hair loss in you. Start by following a good diet - Eat adequate amount of protein. Your hair is made up mainly of proteins. Include skimmed milk, cottage cheese, lentils. Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B are other important nutrients for great hair health. So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet. Exercise daily to keep yourself healthy inside out. Next important step is to follow good hair care - Oiling your hair with a mixture of oils like olive, sesame, coconut and castor oil keeps provides moisture to your hair and prevent them from drying and breakage. Once in a week apply a good hair mask. You can mix and prepare different types of masks using green tea, olive oil, milk, gooseberry, thyme, chamomile etc. Condition your hair using organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Rosemary tea once in a while. Since some hair loss is temporary, your hair will grow back on its own without medical treatment.

I had itching in region of pubic hairs. So I applied dettol antiseptic liquid on that area and after one day I found that a thin wound like layer of skin shed off from that region. I removed that layer pulling from my hand. And cut down my pubic hairs. Also when I go to the doctor for itching (before knowing about that shed off layer of skin), she gave me some antifungal ointments and tablets. I am worried about the layer that sheds may be due to applying dettol and about removing my pubic hairs. What should I do to avoid spreading fungal or other infections?

MBBS, PG Diploma In Emergency Trauma Care, Fellowship in Diabetology
General Physician, Bangalore
Any infection on skin will cause upper layer of skin to die faster n new skin will throw out older one. So don't worry about that layer. Second thing hygiene is very important. since summer is on. please take bath 2 times a day n post bath dry that area n then wear cotton inner cloths. candid b cream would be better. try this if those doesn't work.

Dear lybrateuser, - Your loss of hair could be due to other reasons like scalp infection, nutritional deficiency or stress or hormonal disbalance or hereditary - do not be obsessed with masturbation as Italy lead to a feeling of guilt, occupy your mind in your job or studies, do regular exercises, play a game, follow a hobby - avoid watching or reading pornographic material - develop healthy habits so that your hair fall problem also stops & you remain fit.

All About Microdermabrasion

All About Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a quick and painless treatment that accelerates the rate at which dead skin is exfoliated, and jump-starts the proliferation of new skin cells. Your dermatologist may recommend a series of microdermabrasion treatments, which can treat hyperpigmentation, sun-damaged spots, dryness, fine lines and wrinkles and even minor acne scars. Microdermabrasion can be coupled with just about any other type of skin treatment and is usually recommended to be done every few weeks to every two or three months.

Suitable for all but the most sensitive skins, microdermabrasion combines vacuum suction with tiny abrasive crystals to polish away the uppermost layer of skin, eliminating roughness as well as fine lines and wrinkles. It is a quick and virtually pain-free procedure that uses tiny, rough aluminum crystals to vigorously exfoliate the top layer of the skin, removing dead skin cells.

How is a microdermabrasion procedure performed?

Most often, your microdermabrasion treatment will be performed by a licensed skincare professional in your plastic surgeon's office or medical spa.

There are two general methods for microdermabrasion:

Crystal Microdermabrasion: For this type of microdermabrasion, a handpiece emits crystals onto the surface of the skin, resulting in a gentle abrasion or "polishing" process. Then the dead skin cells along with the crystals are suctioned off either instantaneously (in the same handpiece) or in a secondary process.

Diamond-Tip Microdermabrasion: This type of microdermabrasion works with a diamond-tip handpiece that gently abrades and exfoliates dead skin cells. Like the crystal microdermabrasion, the dead skin is either suctioned off right away in the same handpiece or in a secondary process. The diamond-tip microdermabrasion is safer to perform closer to the eyes and has more flexibility in sensitive areas or on more sensitive skin.?

Ideal Candidates:

Microdermabrasion works best for anyone looking to revitalize their skin. If you have any of these conditions, you are a candidate for microdermabrasion:

  1.  Fine lines and wrinkles
  2.  Hyperpigmentation or sun spots
  3.  Dry skin
  4.  Minor acne scars
  5.  Blemishes or large pores

Acne:

Acne is a skin condition that leads to the outbreak of pimples and sores as well as whiteheads and blackheads. These have a reddish appearance and make the skin look less than ideal. With the help of microdermabrasion, one can gradually reduce the appearance of light scarring and make the skin look even toned.

Rosacea:

This is an inflammation-based skin condition which leads to the appearance of prominent blood vessels as well as other kinds of skin eruptions. Microdermabrasion can come to the rescue of the patient who is suffering from severe symptoms of this condition.

When to Avoid Microdermabrasion:

This procedure should be avoided by people who have sustained deep scars. Also, anyone who has active keloids and lesions that are yet to be diagnosed should avoid this treatment as it may lead to an aggravation. Further, anyone who is suffering from an immune system disorder or diabetes should also avoid this kind of treatment as it may lead to complications. If you have had a chemical peel recently, you should also steer clear of this kind of treatment as it may lead to inflammation, swelling and bleeding on the skin which is already tender from the previous treatment.
