Causes of Eczema

Causes of Eczema

Causes of Eczema:

The specific cause of eczema remains unknown, but it is believed to develop due to a combination of hereditary (genetic) and environmental factors.

Children are more likely to develop eczema if a parent has had it or another atopic disease. If both parents have an atopic disease, the chances increase further.

Environmental factors are also known to bring out the symptoms of eczema. These include:

  • Irritants - soaps, detergents, shampoos, disinfectants, juices from fresh fruits, meats, or vegetables
  • Allergens - dust mites, pets, pollens, mold, dandruff
  •  Microbes - bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, viruses, certain fungi
  • Hot and cold temperatures - hot weather, high and low humidity, perspiration from exercise
  • Foods - dairy products, eggs, nuts and seeds, soy products, wheat
  • Stress - it is not a cause of eczema but can make symptoms worse
  • Hormones - women can experience worsening of eczema symptoms at times when their hormone levels are changing, for example during pregnancy and at certain points in their menstrual cycle.

1. Try to scrub the area daily and put vitamin e oil 2. You can also apply some castor oil to the stretch marks and gently massage the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes 3. Use aloe vera gel on the area once a day 4. Use rich cocoa butter before going.

Or people with severe acne oral retinoids helps control sebum production and pimples. You may need actibiotics to control active acne like oral doxycycline and local clindamycin creams. Once the acne is under control then you can start treatment for pimple marks which may be pigmentation or scars. There are various treatments for acne scars which include creams, chemical peels, microdermaabrasion, microneedling, radiofrequency, surgery, fat fill laser etc. Creams work only for superficial pigmentation not for scars. You can start initially on milder depigmentation creams which contain kojic acid, arbutin, niacinamide like Melaglow at night and use sunscreen three times a day. And depending on type of skin whether oily or dry you can choose a face wash. It need examination and personalized plan. You can consult in private with photographs.

I am 17 years old i have few problem wnats to whiten my teeth? and I am suffering from dandruff and pimples how to cure these problems? pls.

Advanced Aesthetics, BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Hi, there are various method / products available to whiten teeth. The most effective is in-office whitening done by a dental professional. It's usually a one hour procedure in which whitening gel will apply to the teeth and activate by whitening light for 10 to 15 minutes. 2 or 3 such sessions may required.
