We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks.

Hello doctor I am 38 year old man I have teeth cavity problem last one year what should I do please tell me doctor.

Hello doctor I am 38 year old man I have teeth cavity problem last one year what should I do please tell me doctor.
Hi lybrate-user. Cavities should be treated in the initial stage only to prevent further damage to the tooth. But though its already a year you hav a cavity, it might hav gone lillte deeper. You first need a xray to know the extent of damage and then go for filling procedure, either normal or root canal. Or if completely destroyed and cannot be saved then extraction. Thank you.

Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.

In october 2014 i was having pain in tooth and went to a government doctor he has advised to put cement on the teeth and no need to do route canel. But the cement was gone within a week and went to another doctor he told that you have to do route canal and a cap has to place on the teeth, i did the same in the month of january 2015, within a month the same got disconnected from the teeth and in february again that was fixed with new route canel, again today the cap has come out, now what to do? please advise me.

MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
A crown (cap) getting loose is usually not a major issue, as it can be readily recemented. However, if it keeps getting loose repeatedly, there might be something wrong with the tooth preparation or the crown design, or both. You do not need a repeat RCT for a loosened cap, unless the tooth is otherwise symptomatic. Please visit your dentist so the situation maybe remedied. Often, all you might need is a simple recementation of the cap, which is a simple enough thing to do. Do carry your cap with you for your dental appointment.

Scaling will help in this regard. Plaque or tarter get deposited between the gum and tooth and cause inflammation and bleeding. Rinse your mouth with chlorhexidine mouthwash for 15 days. Maintain proper oral hygiene by brushing twice daily and rinse your mouth after eating anything.

Sub mucous fibrosis is a serious oral condition. Generally happens due to consuming betel nut, tobacco and betel chewing. Hot and spicy food. Yes this disease can be treated. There are some drugs. Hello, Halitosis, colloquially called bad breath, or fetor oris, is a symptom in which a noticeably unpleasant odor is present on the exhaled breath. Of those who have genuine halitosis, often the odor is caused by bacteria present below the gumline and on the back of the tongue. The remaining 10% is accounted for by many different conditions, including disorders in the nasal cavity, sinuses, throat, lungs, esophagus, stomach or elsewhere. Very rarely, halitosis can be one of many symptoms of a serious underlying medical condition such as liver failure; but, in the vast majority of cases, the cause is minor and can often be reduced by adjustments to oral hygiene, including brushing or gently scraping the back of the tongue and improving the health of the gums by using dental floss. The intensity of bad breath may differ during the day, due to eating certain foods (such as garlic, onions, meat, fish, and cheese), smoking,[12] and alcohol consumption. Since the mouth is exposed to less oxygen[medical citation needed] and is inactive during the night, the odor is usually worse upon awakening ("morning breath"). Bad breath may be transient, often disappearing following eating, drinking, tooth brushing, flossing, or rinsing with specialized mouthwash. Use SBL’s Homeodent toothpaste twice (morning & night) a day daily.
