What a woman can get pregnant if she had sex after 3 days of her period? Please advise.
Dear Lybrate user, Chances of pregnancy will depend on your menstrual cycle pattern and how have you calculated 3rd day. If it is 3rd day from the onset of the period, chances are negligible. If it is 3rd day after completion of the period, chances of pregnancy increase.

Irregular periods problem because of which i'm gaining too much weight. What is solution to this problem.

Irregular periods problem because of which i'm gaining too much weight. What is solution to this problem.
In majority of the cases irregular menses are accredited to hormonal imbalance, but in some cases it may be pathological and secondary to some pathology of ovaries mostly. Now if you want to regularized the menses then you must establish permanent balanced, first and this can be achieved only with homoeopathy, because in modern medicine we get only a hormonal support with a very temporary relief. But with homoeopathy you can strike the hormonal balance permanently which later on also give you regular menses even if you stop the medicine and your weight gain may be because of hormonal imbalance.

Need to take medication for some months for the above and see the status of follicles at that point of time. You need to have patience for the same and follow the advise of your gynaecologist meticulously, you will conceive. Good luck.

There is nothing to worry if everything is normal in ultrasound, baby must be moving but your wife is not being able to perceive the movements. In first pregnancy movements are perceived by 20 weeks ,but many times pt are not able to perceive them.

Some time child got conceive in last days of cycle. So we got difference in scanning age and actual age. but this difference should remain near to constant ( still the difference of 4-6 days is fine) throughout your pregnancy. Now you are entering in 2nd trimister of your pregnancy. 1.) Eat only healthy:- Fresh, seasonal and lessely processed food. 2.) Eat at every 2-3 hours. Don't have heavy meals in a single go . Have 3 meals with 3-4 snacks per day. 3.) include fresh veggies as : salad, sauteed veg. , soups, cooked vegetables. 4.) include fruits as : salad, smoothie. or coconut water. can also add soaked and grinded almonds in fresh juices to increase their further nutrition. 5.) include soaked dry fruits and nuts : Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, dates, raisins. 6.)include milk based energy drinks: almond milk, date milk, coconut milk. add bran in chapati , if feeling constipated. say no to, tea, coffee, colas, hard drinks, processed, food, baking soda, packed food. can take limited bakery products.

She is my wife. She is pregnant some 20 days. Her age is just only 18 and my 20 I do not want to be a father in this age I am studying now. What should I do for abortion immediately and what about pills?

MHA, PGDPMC, DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Delhi
I feel sorry for you both that you have married at such early age - for whatever reason that is. You could have avoided pregnancy by using some method. Getting an abortion done is not good, after all it is a tender life that is growing inside you and a gift from nature- better let this pregnancy grow and avoid next by using some method.

Beauty Diet - 10 Foods You Must Swear By!

M.sc - Nutrition Science

Beauty Diet - 10 Foods You Must Swear By!

Eating right not only keeps you healthy but can also make you look prettier and give you clearer skin. Given that the skin is the largest organ in the human body, it is where deficiencies are most noticeable. Here are a few foods that can enhance your looks.

  1. Yogurt: Yogurt is packed with proteins and amino acids that help repair skin cells and keep your skin looking fresh. Amino acids also help banish dark circles that may appear after a long night.
  2. Kidney beans: Kidney beans and legumes are packed with proteins that help repair cell damage caused by free radicals. They also help break down amino acids that can then boost collagen production and help in the repair and regeneration of skin cells.
  3. Pomegranates: These fruits are rich sources of anti-oxidants and help get rid of toxins from the body. They are also responsible for increasing the body’s production of collagen. By boosting collagen levels, pomegranates help slow down the aging process.
  4. Avocados: This green fruit can be both eaten and applied on the face to benefit from it. It is a rich source of biotin that helps prevent brittle nails and hair and keeps skin well moisturized. When applied as a face mask, avocados can also hydrate parched skin.
  5. Green tea: Green tea is rich in polyphenols that help eradicate free radicals from the body and slow down the aging process. It’s anti-oxidant properties also keep skin elastic and prevent sagging, fine lines, wrinkles and heal the damage caused by sunspots.
  6. Tomatoes: Tomatoes are rich in lycopene and are considered to be a high carotenoid fruit which helps prevents sunburn and relieves the damage caused by excessive exposure to the sun. Tomatoes can also slow down the cellular damage caused by free radicals.
  7. Salmon: Salmon is packed with Omega-3 fatty acids that help fight stress and the effects of stress. The astaxanthin present in salmon improves the elasticity of skin thus keeping it firm and preventing fine lines and wrinkles.
  8. Walnuts: For vegetarians, walnuts are an excellent alternative to salmon. They are rich in omega 3 fatty acids that helps keep the skin looking youthful and add shine to your hair.
  9. Water: Hydrating the skin from inside and outside is essential. Water helps the skin maintain its tautness and elasticity and prevents drying and premature signs of aging. Water also helps transport essential nutrients to the skin. Apart from drinking water it is also beneficial to eat foods with a high water content such as cucumbers and watermelon to benefit from the hydrating properties of water.
  10. Oysters: Oysters are rich in zinc that helps regulate oil production in the skin. In turn this makes the skin less prone to acne breakouts and other such skin irregularities.

Dear user. I can understand. LEUCORRHOEA translates in modern medicine as a whitish or yellowish discharge of mucus from the vagina. Some of the most common causes of white vaginal discharge include: 1)Infections from bacteria, fungi or other parasites. 2). Injuries or trauma to the vagina, the womb or the cervix, which is very common during pregnancy. 3). Lack of cleanliness or poor hygienic measures. Discharge related with leucorrhoea (or other STDs like yeast infection, chlamydia and trichomoniasis) are generally foamy, greenish-white, foul-smelling and infectious. A proper diagnosis using vaginal swab is very important to diagnose the exact infection, before treatment can ensue. Please consult a gynecologist for clarification and then treatment. Take care.
