My father has one kidney and now has 49 grams prostrate we want to cure prostrate please guide. Operation or medicine? and if operation than which type of operation ?

MS gen.surgery
General Surgeon,
I will advice for surgery either turp or lesar prostatectomy. Single kidney is not contraidication on cotarary I will say it is one of indication to avoid load as well as infection of that kidney. Turp or laser prostetectomy is more safe&reliable than trial with medicine.

I am 62 year old. In the uterus 2nd stage cancer. I want to know, if I treat it with radiotherapy, can it remove permanently for lifelong. If we cure with both then is possible the diseases is permanently clear for lifelong. And there is no chance to face problem of this type diseases in future.

MBBS, DNB (Surgical Oncology), MS - General Surgery
Oncologist, Delhi
For stage 2 uterine cancer the treatment of choice is surgery and based on the final report further radiation maybe required. Whereas for cervical cancer if it is early stage surgery is required and in stage II B onwards chemoradiation is the treatment of choice.

Breastfeeding should be done from both sides equally otherwise painfull lump may form. So get examined by surgeon and mammography should be done.

What is cervical lymphadenopathy with cervical changes? Neck sonography shows: There is enlarged hypoechoic necrotic lymph node of size 13*9 mm in right supraclavicular region. Few necrotic and non necrotic subcentimetric left level 4 lymph nodes are also noted. What does this sonography result mean?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician, Alappuzha
Cervical lymphadenopathy refers to lymphadenopathy of the cervical lymph nodes (the glands in the neck). The term lymphadenopathy strictly speaking refers to disease of the lymph nodes, often however the term refers to enlargement of the lymph nodes. An infection is cause and necrotic means it could be TB infection

My father is 52 years old, & he is suffering from throat cancer. medical doctors team plan his treatment which includes 68 radiations & 7 chemotherapy Till today, 52 radiations & 6 chemotherapy has been completed. In parallel you may start ayurvedic treatment including panchkarma and rasayan treatment. When the condition improves you may continue with chemotherapy. There is no other good option other then this.

Hi Borne sarcom treatment given to 23 old male+5 chemo+5 radiation given. Now doctors asked to do operation so we hesitate due to risk factors so we decided not to do operation. Now doctors say to again start chemo. So we r confused whether chemo will be good or starting ayurvedic medicine will be good. And what r other risk of chemotherapy vs ayurvedic. CT/Scan, mri are done. PLEASE GIVE VALUABLE ADVICE OR prescription TO US. Thank you.

Dear, sarcoma is a fast growing tumor in spite of chemotherapy and radiotherapy recurrence is a rule. If after surgery there is no spread anywhere in the body surgery should be done and diseased part completely removed with enough normal surrounding tissue. Spread to lungs is common. Only chemotherapy is time pass. Ayurvedic success is not established and is again time pass.

Sir, My mother aged 67 yrs, has been detected from carcinoma endometrium, 3a, had undergone surgery. And is advised chemo, & radiation. My question is. What is a proper treatment, is chemo helpful, in completely curing the disease. Is there any other effective methods for treatment. Such as immunotherapy, or in Ayurveda, homeopath ,please help.

MBBS, MD - Medicine, MD - Oncology, Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (FRSTM & H)

Dear lybrate-user, surgery followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy is the established standard treatment for stage 111 carcinoma body uterus. Yes post chemotherapy hormones can be given if the hormonal receptors were positive. Rest immunotherapy, ayurveda, homeopathy all claim the effects but is not very well established. Truly.
