0Smoking is definitely harmful overall and more so in chronic pancreatitis (i assume that is the diagnosis). It leads to worsening of symptoms and development of cancer in chronic pancreatitis. You should quit immediately or get help to quit as soon as possible.

Irritable bowel ssyndrome is a combination of abdominal discomfort or pain and altered bowel habits: either altered frequency (diarrhea or constipation) or altered stool form (thin, hard, or soft and liquid). In my practise I have found that majority of the people who acquire IBS have a history of stress or dont have good dietary habits and routine.Ms cool, I want to know regarding your dietary habits, your eating routine, nature of your work, work load and your mental status and sleeping habit as IBS is not a disease and simply by saying suffering from IBS will get you medicine as IBS is a combination of many problems going on inside your body. You can tell everything in short as it will help me in selection of a most suitable remedy.I also want to know that what all medicines have you taken since now for IBS if you can remember otherwise no problem.

Anxiety and worries can do anything to your health. Be practical why and what your thinking of? If there is any problem in your life then there is way to get out of it. Try to find that way rather than thinking negative thing. Negativity is the main cause of any problem. Soo start think positive. Take deep breath for 10-15 min. Walk regularly in the morning. Do whatever you like the best. Listen soft instrumental song. Call your old friend. Just go away from the routine daily life. Meditation is very much needed. Contact me through Lybrate. I will tell you what to do.

Which is best time to drink water for my gastric stomach before/after meal and what should I do to decrease acidity.

Which is best time to drink water for my gastric stomach before/after meal and what should I do to decrease acidity.
You should drink water after meals. Drinking water before meals dilutes the stomach secretions necessary for digestion. To decrease acidity, take frequent small meals instead of 3 large meals. Try to maintain your eating schedule as far as possible. Avoid fried and spicy food. Do not lie down immediately after meals. Stress is one of the most common reason for hyper acidity. Meditation will help in relieving stress.

The first line of treatment that almost everyone resorts to is that of taking laxatives. It is likely to be any of the most frequently advertised one bought over the counter. It may even be something recommended by an elder in the family. The biggest disadvantage of such laxatives is that they are habit forming. Once you start takingthem, you cannot leave them. Otherwise, you will not be able to evacuate your bowels in a satisfactory manner. Here, Homeopathy offers the biggest advantage. The homeopathic medicines do not work as laxatives. This means that you should not expect them to work as short term quick fixes. Rather, they work to improve the digestive system which has lost its proper and smooth functioning. The peristaltic movement of the intestines, which is responsible for pushing out the waste matter is often compromised in patients who are constipated. Homeopathy  intends to cure the root cause of constipation. It is therefore natural that these medicines are going to take some time to get things going. Ultimately, it is effective at restoring this peristaltic movement to the normal self You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance

Overactive Bladder - Know Everything About It!

MBBS MS DNB MNAMS NYAMS

Overactive Bladder - Know Everything About It!

A problem pertaining to the storage function of the bladder that results in bouts of sudden, often uncontrollable urge to urinate is referred to as an overactive bladder. This condition which is marked by unconditioned or involuntary loss of urine can sometimes be quite difficult to stop. People who experience such a condition often feel humiliated and as such tend to limit their social and work life. Despite such, only a few are conscious that a brief evaluation can help them manage and overcome an overactive bladder.

Mechanism of Urination

During urination, the urine proceeds from the bladder and flows into the urethra which is located at the tip of the penis in men and above the vagina in women. As the bladder fills, the nerve signals in the brain prompts urination by coordinating the relaxation and contraction of the urinary sphincter muscles.

Causes and Symptoms of an Overactive Bladder

Primarily caused due to involuntary contraction and relaxation of sphincter muscles, several conditions can lead to overactive bladder.

Some of them are:
1. Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's and other neurological disorders
2. Poor kidney function due to diabetes
3. Medications that lead to increased production of urine
4. Bladder abnormalities like tumors or stones
5. Constipation
6. Excessive consumption of caffeine or alcohol

Some of the common signs of an overactive bladder are:
1. Bouts of sudden, uncontrollable urge to urinate
2. Awakening at night frequently to urinate
3. Urinating more than eight times a day

Risks
The risk of an overactive bladder gradually increases with age. Conditions, such as diabetes and an enlarged prostate results in the increased likelihood of an overactive bladder. People who have previously faced strokes and heart attacks experience cognitive decline, which often times lead to the development of an overactive bladder.

Urinary incontinence as well as a host of associated factors can be detrimental to your life. Emotional distress, interrupted sleep cycles and depression are some of the observed complications of this condition. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Urologist.
