At 17 I would say it is a growing up problem and there is more load on the heart. Eat well more of high protein diet and do exercises as in athletes heart beats on lower side and it is safer to have low heart beat.

Your cardiologist has advised you appropriately. Your history does not indicate any cardiac problem. You can continue taking the medicines advised by your doctor apart from maintaining healthy lifestyle. Most likely cause of your pain is musculoskeletal, or anxiety. You can check with a gastroenterologist to rule out hyperacidity. If you still want to rule out cardiac cause then you can get a TMT test done.

Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that occurs naturally in all parts of the body. Your body needs some cholesterol to work properly. But if you have too much in your blood, it can combine with other substances in the blood and stick to the walls of your arteries. This is called plaque. Plaque can narrow your arteries or even block them. High levels of cholesterol in the blood can increase your risk of heart disease. Your cholesterol levels tend to rise as you get older. There are usually no signs or symptoms that you have high blood cholesterol, but it can be detected with a blood test. You are likely to have high cholesterol if members of your family have it, if you are overweight or if you eat a lot of fatty foods. You can lower your cholesterol by exercising more and eating more fruits and vegetables. You also may need to take medicine to lower your cholesterol. High LDL high cholesterol put you on a higher risk of atherosclerotic diseases and heart attacks especially if you have other is factors including hypertension diabetes or a history of smoking so I would advise you to continue / start taking statins which are cholesterol medications the dose of which depends upon your cholesterol levels also you need to start changing your dietary habits and include a regular physical exercise at least 45 minutes a day 5 days a week into your schedule nonetheless you have to stop taking fatty and junk food good luck

My grandfather have heart blocks three. What should they do angioplaatic or surgeries operation in age of 75.
There is a very good natural procedure to remove heart blocks by consuming a household prepared medicine. Take below things ginger juice - 1 cup garlic puree - 1 cup lemon juice - 1 cup apple cider vinegar - 1 cup mix all the ingredients and heat it on low flame for 10-15 mints after evaporation of water content from it. Its becomes 3 cups of mixture then add 3 cups organic honey mix it properly and stored in glass water bottle and give him daily one teaspoon in the morning and one tea spoon in evening. If the patient is diabetic don't mix honey. If it is difficult to prepare above mixture, just consult homeopathy doctor there were good medicine in homeopathy to lowering the cholesterol, to remove blocks, and also improve the hearts health.

I am Suffering from low blood pressure (90/60). What is the possible reason. We have normal good food habit. But still pressure is low. My sister also have low blood pressure. I also have high pulse rate (110). What is the possible reason for this. Please give me advice and suggest what should we do?

Quite a a few people normally have BP on a lower side, if it is not causing any problem like giddiness or weakness then you do not need to do anything about. Since you were ill recently it could simply be due to the weakness from illness. And low BP is mostly due to some vitaminn deficiency or anaemia or lack of water, if you are concerned get your Hemoglobin, vitamin b12, folic acid calcium, vitamin D3, Iron and TSH levels checked and consult a doctor locally with reports.

Hi. I'm a diabetes patient. And now suddenly my blood pressure also increased by 288. What should I do for reducing it.
Mr. Lybrate-user, the figure mentioned is 288, what is it related to blood sugar (fasting or pp). Bp can not 288 mm hg. Please clarify all the readings properly, like fasting & pp sugar levels and hba1c% as well as bp readings like systolic / diastolic. Also mention if you are on any treatment for either of these conditions.
