Hello, get your eyes tested from an opthalmologist. Include the following for getting better vision: vitamins a, c, e, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. Dha is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for strengthening eye muscles: -begin by partially closing your eyes; the lids should only be halfway shut. After holding for 10-15 seconds, close your eyes very slowly. Take a few deep breaths to increase oxygen in the blood. -warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. -hold a pen at arm's length. Focus your gaze on the tip of the pen. Bring the pen closer to your nose at a slow and steady pace. Repeat this exercise 5-10 times. -concentrate your vision on the tip of your nose. Then shift your gaze to an object further away, either at arm's length or 20 feet away. Then shift your eyes back to the tip of your nose. Repeat this exercise 10 times. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Begin by look to the left-most position (without moving your head) and hold to stretch your eye muscles. Hold for 5 counts. Blink and return your gaze back to look straight in front of you. Then look to the right-most position with your gaze and hold for 5 counts. Repeat 3 times, blinking between each hold. Then, repeat this exercise looking up and then down. Do not forget about blinking. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Look up and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look up to and to your left for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your left for 5 seconds. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing first and then reducing the power of your eyes (if the eye power is less). Take physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 4-6 months and instill euphrasia eye drops twice a day. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

Hi, I am looking for eye exercise because my right eye has blurred vision which is 2.5 whereas left side is perfectly working so what exercise should I do.

This exercise works by challenging your focus. It should be done from a seated position. Hold your pointer finger a few inches away from your eye. Focus on your finger. Slowly move your finger away from your face, holding your focus. Look away for a moment, into the distance. Focus on your outstretched finger and slowly bring it back toward your eye. Look away and focus on something in the distance. Repeat three times. Near and far focus This is another focus exercise. As with the previous one, it should be done from a seated position. Hold your thumb about 10 inches from your face and focus on it for 15 seconds. Find an object roughly 10 to 20 feet away, and focus on it for 15 seconds. Return your focus to your thumb. Repeat five times. Figure eight This exercise should be done from a seated position as well. Pick a point on the floor about 10 feet in front of you and focus on it. Trace an imaginary figure eight with your eyes. Keep tracing for 30 seconds, then switch directions.

When I wake up in morning my eyes was red and water is came out and it get me pain.

When I wake up in morning my eyes was red and water is came out and it get me pain.
Hello lybrate-user. Redness and watering of the eye is one of the most prevalent problems observed. Redness and watering of the eyes have multiple causes associated with them. To enumerate a few common causes: (1) allergy of the eye. It is usually caused by improper eye hygiene. It occurs with symptoms of pricking, itching, irritation, watering, foreign body sensation and discomfort. There is a tendency to rub the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, cloth, etc. This is not a good habit because it tends to transmit lots of virus, bacteria and dust into the eye. Allergy usually presents with symptoms of watering (clear water), redness and itching of the eye. Thus, eye hygiene remains the principal modality of treatment along with eye drops as a supplement. (2) infectious conjunctivitis: this is usually associated with white-yellowish discharge. There may occur associated pain and sensation of itching, pricking, watering and discomfort. If so, it would be a good idea to go and show to an eye specialist in person. (3) foreign body lodged in the eye. This is more commonly associated with people who drive 2 wheeler vehicles without protection. It occurs more commonly in one eye. Foreign bodies that commonly get lodged are eyelashes, insect wings, small insects, dust particles, iron particles (more common with people working in the iron industry) the solution for a foreign body lodged in the eye would be better provided by an eye specialist at the clinic because it would require immediate removal from the eye and appropriate therapy. (4) raised eye pressure: this is a condition known as glaucoma. It is not so common as the previous mentioned conditions. There is usually associated pain in the eyes. It is commonly bilateral (occurs in both eyes). There is usually a positive family history of glaucoma associated in a majority of the cases. (5) inflammation of the covering layers of the eyeball. This is known as" uveitis" it is also a relatively less common condition. There is associated pain. It would require a thorough eye checkup including the retina-thus a good idea would be to visit the eye specialist in person. (6) increased blood pressure. This has known to cause redness which is also known as sub-conjunctival hemorrhage. The redness in this case tends to be deep dark and usually occurs only in one portion of the eye. In this regard, a complete ophthalmic evaluation and a systemic evaluation is warranted. (7) injury/ trauma to the eye in any form may cause redness of the eyes. This should be taken seriously and assessed in detail by an eye specialist in person. From the symptoms described by you, it seems more likely to be a case of allergy. Maintaining the precautions and hygiene that I mentioned should probably work well for you. You could also use a lubricant eye drop along with an anti-histamine eye drop. (3-4 times daily) also, you might require a complete eye evaluation in order to rule out other causes. This would be possible only by examining your eyes in person. Hope my suggestions helped you. Take care.

Hello lasik is very good option to get rid of glasses Doctor will perform few tests (Schirmer test, Pentacam and Fundus examination) and if all tests are normal then you can go for lasik surgery without fear. Success rate of LASIK is over 96%. Side effects may vary from minimal like mild dryness, DALK, haloes, glare to severe like infection (very rare). Precaution include: a. Avoid face/head wash for 1 week b. Avoid swimming /water sports for 6 weeks c. Avoid eye make up for 6 weeks Cost :depends on Type of lasik which varies from 25000 for standard lasik to 1.10 lacs for SMILE lasik

There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 21 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.
