That is called as Lumbar Vertebrae. And there are 5 Lumbar Vertebrae and the 5th Lumbar Vertebrae is anatomically is located in the lower end where the body weight is taken and it is generally fused with If your pain is there for many years then it is chronic pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR Chappels which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. Back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR chappels which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Dear lybrate-user, commonest cause of foot pain is faulty foot wear. So if you have foot pain may be we need to find out what is wrong with your foot wear. You also need a diagnosis so that needs detailed evaluation and imaging to come to a diagnosis. Meanwhile you can wriggle your toes and move them often in office when you are just sitting after removing your shoes.

I had an accident 3 years back. My back (vertebral column) bended backwards when I fell. Shortly after the fall I experienced tingling sensation in my feet accompanied by difficulty in walking. I was paralysed below my hip for 1 day with symptoms like leakage of urine and face. I recovered within  a day.     I felt a swelling in my back thereafter. The swelling subsided  and returned (when some stress was felt while sitting or bending) accompanied  by  * severe pain in back,  * radial pain from buttocks towards legs,  * bowel bladder dysfunction,  * sexual  dysfunction and decreased  sensation in saddle area. After a week of final episode everything recovered. But, "decreased  sensation in saddle area and sexual dysfunction" REMAINED . I consulted a doctor only 2 months ago. This is what he found: There is no fracture, lesion,disc herniation or neuroradicular compression of nerves or spine in lumbosacral MRI scan. EVERYTHING IS INTACT. The doctor says there is NO PROBLEM WITH MY BACK.   Yet I feel decreased sensitivity in my saddle area (inner buttocks, perineum and genitals) and problem in erection. Is it possible that I have some problem which is undetected in MRI?

It could be manifestation of peripheral neuropathy. It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform

Please advise me a mild muscle relaxant which would help me relieve my back pain. I was using nucoxia Mr. tablet advised to me for 5 days. But as soon as I stopped using that tablet The pain returns. Lumbar problem cannot be associated with wrist pain. One possibility you would be having a carpal tunnel syndrome or you could be having tennis or golfers elbow with pain radiating to wrist. You need to be examined properly to come to a proper diagnosis.

Dear, it is usual to get some pain after gym exercise so apply ice for 20 mins after work out and it should go or reduce but if it persists for a long time then consult your doctor but do not take medication on your own otherwise you may get injury.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Ruta 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.
