Lybrate-user we all have one or other kind of fear at different times in our life. Feeling of fear is what kept us alert and helped us survive in earlier time of evolution process. Every feeling th8st we feel has some kind of beneficial effect to protact us. Saying that, I would add that fear is also something which at times stops us from growing. In order to understand the triggers and cause behind your triggers. It is best if you consult some behavioural psychologist. He or she will be able to help you overcome your fear. I do believe that fear and courage are two sides of the single coin. Being courageous does not mean than one do not feel fearful. Rather inspite of fear when you choose to act in certain way. That is what is courage. And every one of us have this courage within us. If you are interested in slowly learning the dynamics between fear and courage and to process of change is slow yet rewarding. Hope this helps wishing you very best.

It’s due to weakness in the nerve which creates feeling of heaviness and fatigue in facial muscles. Gradually it will subside. Too much attention towards the involved face can increase the feeling of heaviness so don’t worry and continue with your facial muscles exercises.

The biggest advantage of homeopathic medicines for low sperm count is that they are natural medicines that help in improving the sperm count as well as sperm quality. These homeopathic medicines  for low sperm count are entirely free from any toxic side-effects. They treat the condition in the safest and most harmless way. Homeopathic medicines work by treating the underlying cause behind oligospermia. The homeopathic medicines for low sperm count save a person from harsh medicines like hormonal substitutes that carry a huge risk of adverse side-effects. Homeopathic medicines help in the gentlest way to enhance the sperm count.

This is called otitis externa which causes ear discharge. It is due to sensitive ear. If water, shampoo, soap, hairspray, etc, get into your ears, they may may cause irritation or itch. This may cause you to scratch or poke the ear. This can damage the skin in the ear canal and cause inflammation. Inflamed skin can quickly become infected. A vicious circle may then develop. The inflammation and infection cause more itch, you then scratch which makes things worse, etc. So, despite treatment, the infection may continue if you continue to poke or scratch your ear. Therefore: Try not to scratch or poke the ear canal with fingers, cotton wool buds, towels, etc. Do not clean the ear canal with cotton buds. They may scratch and irritate, and push wax or dirt further into the ear. The ear cleans itself and bits of wax will fall out now and then. Try not to let soap or shampoo get into your ear canal. You can do this when you have a shower, by placing a piece of cotton wool coated in soft white paraffin (eg, Vaseline®) into the outer ear. Do not use corners of towels or cotton buds to dry any water that does get into the ear canal. This will push things further in. Let the ear dry naturally. When you swim try to keep your ears dry. You can do this by wearing a tightly fitting cap that covers the ears. Some swimmers use silicone rubber earplugs but only use them if they do not irritate the skin in your ear canal.

How To Avoid Diabetic Complications?

DNB (Endocrinology), MD - General Medicine, MBBS
Endocrinologist, Ludhiana
How To Avoid Diabetic Complications?

Diabetes can result in the development of many complications like retinopathy (eye problem), neuropathy (nerve problem), nephropathy (kidney disease), dyslipidemia (high cholesterol), heart disease and stroke (paralysis). Your doctor will advise you on what to do and how frequently to get tests for these complications.

  1. Blood pressure- Blood pressure should be got checked at every visit to the doctor. Generally, it should be maintained below 140/80. Your doctor may give you some medicine to lower it if it is high.
  2. Cholesterol- Lipid profile should be tested annually or more frequently if deranged. Your doctor will give you some medicine if you have high cholesterol.
  3. Eye disease ( Retinopathy)- Dilated eye testing should be done at least once a year by an eye specialist. It should be started at the time of diagnosis of type 2 diabetes and after 3-5 years of diagnosis of type 1 diabetes after puberty. If you already have diabetic eye disease, then your doctor may ask for a more frequent check up.
  4. Kidney disease (Nephropathy)- Regular blood pressure checking is very important. Urine should be tested every year for proteins and creatinine clearance. Testing should be more frequent if abnormal. Kidney function should also be tested at least once a year.
  5. Nerve disease (Neuropathy)- You should check your feet daily for any injury, cracks, redness or calluses. Report to your doctor immediately if you have any such problems.

Remember-

  1. You should get yourself regularly evaluated for these complications.

  2. Maintaining your A1c (blood sugar), blood pressure and cholesterol in the normal range can help in preventing / delaying diabetic complications.

  3. Stop smoking
