Triglycerides are manufactured in liver from alcohol sugar jaggery and starchy foods. Reduce these in your diet. Tonact is needed for patients of blockages. TG is fenofibrate, required for very rare diseases. So you are taking 2 medicines for no good reason, try to reduce, not increase medicines. Best wishes.

Hello, The medicines mentioned are good enough, continue those. For good control fasting should be closer to 100 mg, PP 160 to 170 mg & HbA1c<6.8. Akmost all the currently used drugs to treat diabetes and high BP are quite safe. There are NO DRUGS which are absolutely free from side effects.

Pain can be due to muscular spasm or oesophagitis or heart disease and if possible get a stress test done after contacting your cardiologist and if it is normal than we can rule out pain due to heart disease.

There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed to protect against future flares or prevent gout or uric acid problems from occurring in the first instance: maintain a high fluid intake (2-4 liters a day) avoid alcohol maintain a healthy body weight eat a balanced diet limit fish, meat and poultry intake. If attempting to lose weight, avoid low-carbohydrate diets. If carbohydrate intake is insufficient, the body is unable to burn its own fat properly, releasing substances called ketones into the bloodstream. This results in a condition called ketosis that can increase the level of uric acid in the blood. It is most important to avoid foods that are high in purines, to ensure that the levels of uric acid in the blood do not get too high. Here is a list of high-purine foods to be wary of: beef kidneys brains dried beans and peas liver mackerel mushrooms lose some weight by walking or other exercise, avoid meats and get always be on a prescribed diet as prescribed by a registered dietitian. I am a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator and a doctor, consult privately for detailed treatment plans using diet and medications.

high cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take green veg., whole grain. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

Hello, I am suffering from frequent chest pains. Can you suggest what should be done?

MD, Fellowship in Intergrative Medicine, MBBS
Integrated Medicine Specialist, Kochi
Hello, I am suffering from frequent chest pains. Can you suggest what should be done?
.Chest pain can arise from the Gut, Muscle, Joint, Bone, Lungs ,Mineral, Vitamin deficiency's ,Stress etc 1) Detailed history including dietary & lifestyle habits needed in addition to medical, occupational history 2) Comprehensive lab testing needed .Do tests for inflammation, mineral deficiency and not tests confined to the heart alone. They. Do not address the whole patient .That is why your results are normal but you are not normal-still having symptoms. 3) Get detailed dietary and lifestyle habits advice based on the basis of detailed history and lab testing only. If Your cardiac test results are all normal but you are still having symptoms that clearly indicates your Dr. Has not addressed your diet and lifestyle, has done incomplete lab testing and not given you the right dietary and lifestyle advice because your Dr. Is interested only in medication which puts a temporary fix and not interested in educating you which is a permanent fix. Do not blindly believe your doctors .They may have vested interests also. So identify and treat the triggers of your chest pain. For all diseases diet and lifestyle has to be fixed first before medication which may not be needed always.
