Hi, My self Manoj, Height 161 cms, Weight 75 Kgs. I am suffered with gynecomastia (male boobs) problem. I got my operation from AIIMS last year, but it again developed. Can you please suggest which tests I have to do and will this affect any other thing as some docs say it affect my sex life also.

Doctor of Naturopathy & Natural Medicines, DM - Clinical Haematology
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Agra
Lybrate-user try these natural remedy: 1. Turmeric turmeric is a well-known home remedy for gynecomastia. This spice can increase the testosterone hormone levels in males. When the level of testosterone becomes high, large breasts in men naturally reduce in size. Plus, turmeric promotes liver health and helps burn fat. Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of turmeric to a cup of water and heat it for 10 minutes. Drink it 2 or 3 times a day and especially before going to bed. Repeat daily and within a few weeks you will notice the changes. 2. Flaxseeds also contain omega-3 fatty acids that help raise testosterone and reduce estrogen levels. Plus, they contain higher concentrations of lignans that balance estrogen activity and have antiestrogenic qualities. Flaxseeds also aid in the removal of harmful toxins from the body. Add 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed to a glass of hot water and consume it daily until you see improvement. Another option is to take 1 or 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil daily for a few weeks. You can also add ground flaxseed to smoothies and baked goods such as breads and muffins. 3. Exercise can help reduce gynecomastia as it helps balance hormone levels. Plus, certain exercises help build chest and torso muscles. They also help reduce overall body fat, which could be contributing to pseudogynecomastia. Pseudogynecomastia causes feminization of the male breast due to a buildup of fat. Include cardiovascular, weight lifting and elliptical exercises in your exercise routine. Swimming, especially the breast stroke, is effective for reducing excess fat. Jogging and walking are good forms of exercise that also help burn a lot of calories and body fat.

I want to gain weight. I am 20 years old girl. I am so skinny. Please tell me some medicine name thats helps to gain some, weight.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight. If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Hello, weight loss is the result of a holistic approach that includes- 1. Balanced diet rich in proteins and fibre like- egg, chicken, fish, milk, curd, paneer, sprouts, oats, wholegrain cereals and pulses, fruits and vegetables (fibre) 2. Exercise- doing 40-50 minutes of moderate to high intensity activity for 4-5 days/ week will help (walking/jogging/swimming etc) 3. Adding good quality fat like nuts and oilseeds-almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds (alsi) will help. 4. Rest for 7-8 hours to rejuvenate your system so it can work efficiently. 5. Water- having about 1 glass water every hour will help in flushing toxins from your system.

Hello, -Increase your Vitamin C intake (lemon,orange,gooseberry,etc.Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and green peas). - Eat more Vitamin A (nonfat milk, oysters, and egg yolks, carrots, watermelon, papaya, tomatoes, or other dark colored produce) . If you feel your skin is weak or not tight enough, that usually suggests a lack of Vitamin A. Medicine: You can also use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel daily at night. Home remedies: Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. After this, rub cucumber slices on your skin to soften and moisturize it. Do this daily or every other day. Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Make a paste of 'Kasturi Manjal' (wild turmeric) with rose petals, saffron and raw milk which is very effective. To exfoliate your skin, mix two teaspoons each of lemon juice and sugar. Apply the mixture on your face, neck and hands. Scrub in a circular motion and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy once a week to enjoy glowing skin. Mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder with enough pineapple juice to make a paste. Apply the paste to your face and neck. Leave it on until the paste dries completely. Then wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy two or three times a week to reduce the appearance of spots on skin.

I had an accident 3 years back. My back (vertebral column) bended backwards when I fell. Shortly after the fall I experienced tingling sensation in my feet accompanied by difficulty in walking. I was paralysed below my hip for 1 day with symptoms like leakage of urine and face. I recovered within  a day.     I felt a swelling in my back thereafter. The swelling subsided  and returned (when some stress was felt while sitting or bending) accompanied  by  * severe pain in back,  * radial pain from buttocks towards legs,  * bowel bladder dysfunction,  * sexual  dysfunction and decreased  sensation in saddle area. After a week of final episode everything recovered. But, "decreased  sensation in saddle area and sexual dysfunction" REMAINED . I consulted a doctor only 2 months ago. This is what he found: There is no fracture, lesion, disc herniation or neuroradicular compression of nerves or spine in lumbosacral MRI scan. EVERYTHING IS INTACT. The doctor says there is NO PROBLEM WITH MY BACK.   Yet I feel decreased sensitivity in my saddle area (inner buttocks, perineum and genitals) and problem in erection. Is it possible that I have some problem which is undetected in MRI?

Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Infertility - Can Sexual Problems be the Cause Behind it?

Infertility - Can Sexual Problems be the Cause Behind it?

A couple becomes a family when they become parents. And, a lot of people want to enjoy the experience being parents. But sometimes, sexual problems can lead to bigger problems, like infertility.

The state of childlessness can be the result of sexual problems. Sometimes couples who go for fertility treatments do not realise that previously existing sexual dysfunctions can be the cause of infertility. Before spending a lot of time on expansive and expensive treatments, it is important to discern if the couple are having problems with their sex lives, with special preference to frequency and timing of coitus.

Two further categories of sexual dysfunctions need to be considered. One is premature ejaculation (PE) in which, the semen is ejected soon after sexual activity and with minimal penile stimulation. The second point is to consider whether the sperm is being introduced to the vagina. This is a personal examination of the couple’s method of having sex.

Sexual problems related to infertility in men are loss of desire, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and retarded ejaculation and in women are loss of desire, vaginismus, dyspareunia and anorgasmia. All these dysfunctions can be solved with the help of an expert. Thus, it is important to go for thorough consultation before going for fertility treatments.

Adequate sexual function can contribute to the success of fertility treatments, but at the same time it also leads to much stress and discord among couples as the pressure of procreation might get too much. This can have harmful repercussions, affecting the entire fertility treatment. The pressure of planned sex, to perform on demand and anxiety also harms fertility.

Talking about sex and focusing on your relationship as a couple helps in the long run.

Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, ideally a person should take 2-3litres of water in a day, but if a person is having more physical activity or exposure to sunlight is excessive or the weather is very hot, the amount of water can be increased further. In your case also, if there is no underlying medical condition, can take 2-3 litres of water in a day.
