Dear user. I can understand. Hypnotism and hypnotherapy never helps you to forget past negative incidents. Hypnotism and hypnotherapy coupled with other therapy methods helps you in thinking positively about negative incidents. Dear , the best method to quit smoking habit is to stop it outright with immediate effect and pledge never to use it again. All others methods are almost useless. You can reduce the quantity and use nicotine lozenges or chewing gums to manage nicotine craving. But still the first method is much more beneficial. Please post a private question to me with more details. I will help you. Take care.

Sir I want to quit smoking but its not possible so please suggest me some ideas to quit smoking.

General Physician,
Best age to stop smoking is before 40 ,In fact do not start all Only by using strong will power and avoiding all situations where you feel like smoking, chewing tobacco or drinking or using drugs/ weed, avoiding friends who smoke and diverting mind by reading or chewing a gum, like NICORETTE and taking a walk when you crave for a smoke can all help. You can chew Nicorette gum which is nicotine replacement. There are medicines available. Which can be prescribed if asked personally Cigarette smoking is a leading preventable cause of mortality. It kills more than 60 lakh people worldwide every year. More than 50% of regular smokers would invariably die from tobacco-related illnesses which includes heart attack, cancer or asthmatic lung diseases. Best age to stop smoking is before 40 31st May is “World No Tobacco Day” Quitting smoking before the age of 40 is associated with larger decline in premature death than stopping it at a later date. Best age therefore to stop smoking is before 40. However, stopping smoking even after the age of 50 is still associated with lower risk of death as compared to those who continue to smoke. Even in smokers aged 80 years or more, quitting smoking appears to reduce some mortality.

Negative thinking is more to do with your state of mind. *. Develop self-esteem and make friends with positive thinking people. *. Every person is unique and nobody is perfect *. Focus on your positive qualities and feel proud of your achievements * Don't keep doubting yourself. *. Keep busy with your work and studies; maintain your schedule *Don’t keep grudge, anger and envy against anybody. *. Avoid fast food and eat healthy nutritious food. *. Regular vigorous physical exercise is very important. With improved blood circulation, toxins will be eliminated from your body. You will become very energetic and your mind will become fresh as well as positive. 8. Exercise has a positive effect. It makes you feel better. It fights the stress by creating natural and constructive outlet for releasing negative thoughts and emotions such as anger. 9. Exercise boosts the production of feel good hormones or endorphins. 10. Maintain healthy habits and have adequate sleep 11 Keep helping others without any expectation and it gives immense satisfaction 12. Homoeopathy has good treatment for this. Take homoeopathic medicine Arsenic alb 200 once daily in the morning and give feedback after 3 days.

Hello, there is no drug which will increase all the three neurotransmitter levels in brain that can be achieved by combining drugs with different mechanism of action. Unfortunately, treatment of depression is not so simple that you will feel better after taking such a medicine combination. The factors to be taken in account for successful treatment of depression are:- type of depression, major symptoms, side effects that can be tolerated, family history of response to medicines, factors relating to metabolism of drugs. Etc. Take care. Consult privately for more help.

How I can improve my brain memory because it is very poor. I forget many thing during examination which is prepared by me.

General Physician,
Strategies for Remembering 1.Become interested in what you're learning. We're all better remembering what interests us. Few people, for example, have a difficult time remembering the names of people they find attractive. If you're not intrinsically interested in what you're learning or trying to remember, you must find a way to become so. 2.Find a way to leverage your visual memory. You'll be surprised by how much more this will enable you to remember. For example, imagine you're at a party and are introduced to five people in quick succession. How can you quickly memorize their names? Pick out a single defining visual characteristic of each person and connect it to a visual representation of their name, preferably through an action of some kind. Remember: Memory is predominantly visual. 3.Create a mental memory tree. If you're trying to memorize a large number of facts, find a way to relate them in your mind visually with a memory tree. Construct big branches first, then leaves. Branches and leaves should carry labels that are personally meaningful to you in some way, and the organization of the facts (" leaves") should be logical. 4.Associate what you're trying to learn with what you already know. It seems the more mental connections we have to a piece of information, the more successful we'll be in remembering it. This is why using mnemonics. Write out the items to be memorized over and over and over. 5.When reading for retention, summarize each paragraph in the margin. This requires you to think about what you're reading, recycle it, and teach it to yourself again. Even take the concepts you're learning and reason forward with them; apply them to imagined novel situations, which creates more neural connections to reinforce the memory. 6.Do most of your studying in the afternoon. Though you may identify yourself as a" morning person" or" evening person" at least one Study. Suggests your ability to memorize isn't influenced as much by what time of day you perceive yourself to be most alert but by the time of day you actually study—afternoon appearing to be the best. 7.Get adequate sleep to consolidate and retain memories. Not just at night after you've studied but the day, you study as well. Far better to do this than to stay up cramming all night for an exam.

My husband feels very odd because of this. As and when she looks at him, she tightens her face and that shakes her face and fists. And she runs away whenever he tries to engage sometime with her. My husband is a very caring and loving father. But only that due to his work timings he doesn' t get much time to spend with her. But how can one fix this kind of issue? please help.

Dear . Your daughter is very young to understand anything more than simple caregiving and nurturing. She is more attached to those who are caring and nurturing. She soes not possess any other emotional feelings. Stranger anxiety is another prominent feature at thos age. Your husband may be loving, but that love and care should be shown to baby in such a manner where the child feels it as caring and affectionate. If required, I may provide telephone counseling to you and your husband. Take care.

How could I grow my height with stamina and strength? How could I increase my memory power with sharper mind?

BASM, MD, MS (Counseling & Psychotherapy), MSc - Psychology, Certificate in Clinical psychology of children and Young People, Certificate in Psychological First Aid, Certificate in Positive Psychology
Psychologist, Palakkad
Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Memory and mind power depends on three aspects. Understanding, retention and recollection. Recollection is easy if your retention is proper and flawless. Retention is possible when you are able understand what you read or learn. To understand you should have concentration. Concentration comes from effective learning techniques based on creative and active learning. Physical exercise, outdoor games, entertainment, socializing coupled with systematic learning improves your memory and mind power. Vegetables, fruits and nuts are perfect for memory. Brain games like sudoku and jigsaw puzzles helps too. Avocados, Beetroots, Blueberries, Broccoli. Celery, Coconut Oil, Dark Chocolate etc are good for improving concentration and memory. I suggest online education counseling. Take care.

You should be able to learn books in a way that you will not forget anything. "effective learning methods" will be useful to you. Consult a psychologist. If you still say, you are having memory problems, we need to check your memory using memory test. You may contact a clinical psychologist or neurologist for memory test and further investigation. What is the better treatment to stop anger bcoz due to anger there is very problem creates.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
You cannot reduce emotions. I guess you may be thinking of ways to avoid them: that also is not possible in any healthy way. You have to face your feelings and learn to express them in appropriate ways. All feelings are good. They are a very important aspect of the human personality. Most people have a problem in expressing emotions. Some, like you, want to avoid them. If people use denial, they may not experience the emotion but the unconscious mind is continuously registering the feeling and it moves it to an organ (which may differ from person to person), and that unexpressed feeling will stress that organ to either make it malfunction or lead to its total dysfunction. This is the psychosomatic effect that sometimes entails a whole lot of medical interventions and hospitalizations. Why do all that! just deal with your feelings by expressing them, as soon as possible, and always.

This must be pretty severe for you to quit your job!!! You must seek the help of a counselor especially to get some education about emotions particularly fear. You may be suffering from poor self-confidence and poor self-image. There is abnormal fear and it could do with some contribution from your upbringing. Perhaps you experienced strict parenting, or you were intimidated by dire consequences for failure; perhaps you were brought up believing that you were not as good as others; perhaps you were forced to show undue regard for elders and felt inferior around them, etc. In the meantime, you must do certain things to build your constitution physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Mental stability can be achieved by learning a few skills in handling emotions in an appropriate manner. Stress management skills, which have a lot to do with expressing emotions, will need to be a major part of your recovery program. Emotionally you need the help of a counselor and that will help you tremendously to move from anxiety to normal fear. Please persevere and cooperate through all the support you need and you will come through successfully. Develop your body’s health by physical fitness through exercise, good rest (sleep), and a proper diet. Anyway what you need to focus on is to do vigorous exercise of the aerobic kind for the heart’s fitness; meditation for the brain’s fitness; sleep for a well rested mind and body; a sound spiritual well-being for good confidence and stability; and a diet with lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Vigorous exercise, especially of the callisthenic kind, will make your heart, which is a muscle, grow larger; and then your heart will need to beat less often and you will respond to the anxiety with a calmer disposition. If your mind, constitution, and your emotions are in check and fit, you will never be disturbed again. You need to attend personality development courses, personal grooming courses, conversational skills courses, and definitely a good education will empower you to boost self-confidence and by default self-image. Learn never to compare yourself with others: you are unique and there is only one of your kind, ever. If you let that sink in and appreciate who you are truly, you will go places.
