Take medicines on time and follow a few remedies to reduce cholesterol naturally: add two teaspoons of coriander seed powder to one cup of water. Boil the mixture and then strain it. Drink this once or twice a day. You can add milk, sugar, and cardamom to it and use it as an alternative for your regular tea. Boil few leaves of mint with water. Add some honey and pepper powder. Drink lukewarm 2-3 times a day. Do warm daily and stop eating ghee, oily and spicy food.

I would used to eat the Fast Food too much suddenly it is making a impact on my heart. SO CAN I DECREASE MY cholesterol LEVEL. PLEASE HELP.

I am sure that you have stopped fast food. Try going for long walks, do other exercises also, as it burns the fat, take a spoon of honey + juice of lemon in a glass of warm water, drink it on empty stomach every morning and also during the day. Lemon juice burns fats. Drink lots of water, cut down fats but do take some good fats like a sppon of desi ghee/ butter + katori of assorted nuts as good cholesterol brings down bad cholesterol.

Want a Healthy Heart - 11 Foods You Must Have!

While every organ in the body needs to be cared for, the heart assumes a very special place. What is good for the heart can be good for the whole body and the reverse is equally true. The effects of a diet that is unhealthy for the heart is definitely unhealthy for the whole body.
With lifestyle changes like heart disease, diabetes, obesity and stroke are on the rise, the importance of eating a heart healthy diet has assumed all new levels of importance. The following are some of the heart healthy foods that should be a part of everybody’s diet.

  1. Fatty fishes: Salmon, sardines and mackerel are loaded with generous amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids and reduce the risk of arterial plaque buildup. They are also rich in antioxidants. Eating fish at least twice a week is recommended; for non-fish eaters, supplements of Omega-3 fatty acids are recommended.
  2. Oatmeal: Oats again are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, folate and potassium. It is also rich in soluble fibre and is believed to lower bad cholesterol and keep the arteries free of plaque. It soaks up the cholesterol in the digestive system and helps manage cholesterol.
  3. Avocado: This creamy fruit has loads of monounsaturated fat which helps lower the levels of bad cholesterol and improve levels of good cholesterol. They also improve absorption of other carotenoids like lycopene and beta-carotene, which are also extremely heart friendly.
  4. Berries: Blueberries, strawberries, and other berries reduce the risk of heart attack by almost one-third. These are rich in compounds like anthocyanins and flavonoids which are proven antioxidants. They relax the blood vessels and reduce blood pressure and reduce the incidence of heart attacks.
  5. Dark chocolate: Chocolate which contains 60-70% cocoa is rich in polyphenols, which helps blood pressure, clotting, and inflammation.
  6. Olive Oil: Loaded with monounsaturated fats, this helps reduce levels of bad cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. The extra-virgin variety is preferred for cooking in place of regular vegetable oils.
  7. Nuts and seeds: Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, peanuts, and macadamia nuts are packed with mono and polyunsaturated fats, fibre, and vitamin E. Flaxseed is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and can be added to oatmeal or eaten raw.
  8. Soy: Soy products, including tofu and soy milk, are ideal for adding protein and reducing cholesterol and polyunsaturated fats, fibre, vitamins, and minerals.
  9. Legumes: These are high in omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, and soluble fibre.
  10. Spinach: Helps with its rich content of fibre, folate, lutein,and potassium. In fact, most vegetables have a beneficial effect.
  11. Green tea: Rich in antioxidants, it reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Dear lybrateuser, -at your age the pain may be due to stress, anxiety, sedentary life -do regular exercises like walking, running, cycling for 20-30 min, also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 10 min in the morning, keep active throughout the day -reduce stress by reading, listening to music, follow a hobby -eat meals 2-3 hrs before bedtime, avoid watching tv before bedtime for a peaceful sleep -get your blood pressure checked up.

Milk, dal, in telugu what we call as" pappu dinusulu, soya etc. For protiens, for iron take plenty of green leafy vegetables, jaggery that is bellam in telugu, plenty of vetables and fruits with every meal. Your weight is normal for your height.

On night of 7-April-2016, I had taken Combiflam tablet along with dinner as I was having sever headache. After around 1 hour, I started having severe pain and burning sensation in chest area. Also, I started feeling difficulty in breathing. I immediately rushed to emergency room at a leading hospital. They did ECG and Troponin I tests (both were normal according to duty doctor) and then gave me Pantoprazole injection. Next day, I started feeling discomfort again after taking breakfast, so I went to emergency room of another major hospital. They did ECG, Troponin I, and 2D Echo, and then they also gave me Pantoprazole injection and sent me home. After that, I consulted a GP who advised me TMT and Endoscopy. Both were normal and he prescribed me Ganaton Total capsules. Since the problem didn't completely go away, I consulted another GP who told me it is Non-ulcer Dyspepsia triggered by Ibuprofen and advised me Cintodac capsules, Anxit Tablet. I started taking these medicines as per his advice and felt great relief. However, yesterday, I consumed some fried items and also had snacks containing gram flour. I again started feeling heaviness in chest, difficulty breathing and extreme nervousness. Again I went to emergency room and after ECG and Pantoprazole, they sent me home. I had never experienced this kind of discomfort earlier in my life. Though the doctors are telling its non-ulcer dyspepsia and that's causing all symptoms, I would like to know if any additional tests and required to rule out other types of problems (my TMT and Endoscopy reports were normal earlier, showing no problems with heart or stomach ulcers etc.) I usually suffer from lot of gas problems that don't result in burping and cause headaches. But this time, its creating lot of pain in chest area. I am 41 years old, Male.

I have pain in left side of chest. actually I have vertigo problem due to ear imbalance. I faced this attack two times after a gap of a year. So due to fear pain increases as I feel. For this I undergo ecg test 3 times but it is fine. What is happening I am not able to understand. Pls suggest the issue or cure. Also I want the permanent cure for vertigo problem. Thanks.

Near the Diaphragm middle of blew the chest I feel pain during sneezing, whopping and fast breathing sometimes.

Most likely this is pain from rib junctions with the sternum bone in the midline, and may be due to some heavy exertion in last few days or some pressure on the area of chest.
