Seeing your age you will get good results by orthontic treatment that involves placement of braces. You should go for it sooner because as the age progress like in 30 years etc results are not that good.

You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Rinse frequently with mouth wash. Advise c. Amox 500mg 1-1-1, thrice, t. Metrogyl 400mg 1-1-1, thrice, t. Imol 1-1-1, thrice (contraindicated in conditions with gastric ulcer, asthma, wheezing, and allergy), and c. Becosules 1-0-0 once, all for 3 days only.

Small sized inflamation in the upper jaw for the last 3 months.Gum is slightly swollen and painful. Also when I eat anything there is pain in the upper palate. My age is 77yrs.

BDS
Dentist, Varanasi
Hello, As per your history it seems infection has entered the pulp of some adjacent teeth of the concerned area, and because of that there is inflammation in periapical area of tooth , which is appearing as some localized swelling over the gums. You need to first visit the dentist, there he/she will take final call as it needs to be assessed clinically, by the way it seems as if you need a root canal treatment .

The yellow thing that you see is plaque accumulation, which also leads to bleeding gums and bad breath. You need to visit a dentist and get scaling (cleaning) done. In the mean time you can use a chlorhexidine mouthwash in a aqueous base twice a day.

My son suffering from dental problems since 2 days. What to do in case of severe condition.
At this age, your son has mixed dentition. Some teeth are milky and some permanent. Do get his teeth x-rayed to determine the cause of pain. It can be due to decay in any teeth or erupting teeth. For immediate relief, start with painkillers.

Please start using colgate sensitive tooth brush and toothpaste and mouthwash of the same name. Still problem exist. Shift to colgate gel-kam, that would definitely help.

It normally is by habbits c that while eating she is not busy in anything else don't force her to eat let her be at dinning table only while eating and no distractions like tv games, if she doesn't eat don't force she will eat on her own when hungary as a mother I think you will have to have patience, if she has lost weight or inactive then of course you should contact a paediatrician.

Sir my mouth was getting smell Im doing brushing daily 2 times what can I do what is the cure for this.
Gum bleeding is associated with periodontal problem. Bad breath is associated with periodontal problem. Bad breath has so many causes. I have tried to list the cause here. There is an extensive list of possible causes of halitosis in the mouth alone, however by far the most prevalent causes reported are halitogenic biofilm on the posterior dorsal tongue and within gingival crevices and periodontal pockets (i. E. Bacteria living on the back of the tongue and below the gumline, and in the pockets created by gum disease between teeth and the gums). The most common location for mouth-related halitosis is the tongue. Bacteria that grows there releases certain volatile compounds. When left on the tongue, the anaerobic respiration of such bacteria can yield either the putrescent smell of indole, skatole, polyamines, or the" rotten egg" smell of volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) such as hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, Allyl methyl sulfide, and dimethyl sulfide. There have been myriad other reported causes of oral malodor, however these are all much less common than the two above causes. Deep carious lesions (dental decay) – which cause localized food impaction and stagnation Recent dental extraction sockets – fill with blood clot, and provide an ideal habitat for bacterial proliferation Interdental food packing – (food getting pushed down between teeth) - this can be caused by missing teeth, tilted, spaced or crowded teeth, or poorly contoured approximal dental fillings. Food debris becomes trapped, undergoes slow bacterial putrefaction and release of malodorous volatiles. Food packing can also cause a localized periodontal reaction, characterized by dental pain that is relieved by cleaning the area of food packing with interdental brush or floss. Acrylic dentures (plastic false teeth) – inadequate denture hygiene practises such as failing to clean and remove the prosthesis each night, may cause a malodour from the plastic itself or from the mouth as microbiota responds to the altered environment. The plastic is actually porous, and the fitting surface is usually irregular, sculpted to fit the edentulous oral anatomy. These factors predispose to bacterial and yeast retention, which is accompanied by a typical smell. Oral infections Oral ulceration Fasting Stress/anxiety Menstrual cycle – at mid cycle and during menstruation, increased breath VSC were reported in women. Smoking – Smoking is linked with periodontal disease, which is the second most common cause of oral malodor. Smoking also has many other negative effects on the mouth, from increased rates of dental decay to premalignant lesions and even oral cancer. Alcohol Volatile foodstuffs – e. G. Onion, garlic, durian, cabbage, cauliflower and radish. Volatile foodstuffs may leave malodorous residues in the mouth, which are the subject to bacterial putrefaction and VSC release. However, volatile foodstuffs may also cause halitoisis via the blood borne halitosis mechanism. Medication – often medications can cause xerostomia (dry mouth) which results in increased microbial growth in the mouth Please find the cause so that effective and focal treatment can be started.

Tooth sensitivity

MDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Tooth sensitivity
Tooth sensitivity can affect one or more teeth. It’s most common when you eat or drink something hot, cold, sweet, or sour. Sometimes a breath of cold air can set it off. The pain can be sharp and sudden and can shoot deep into the nerve endings of your teeth.
Steps to Reduce Tooth Sensitivity
The good news is there are many ways to control sensitive teeth. You can:

Brush and floss regularly. Use proper brushing and flossing techniques to thoroughly clean all parts of your teeth and mouth.
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush. Brush gently and carefully around the gum line so you don’t remove gum tissue.
Use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Several brands are available. Regular use should make teeth less sensitive. You may need to try several brands to find the product that works best for you. Another tip: Spread a thin layer on the exposed tooth roots with your finger or a Q-tip before you go to bed. Use a fluoridated toothpaste, not a tartar control one.
Watch what you eat. Avoid lots of highly acidic foods and drinks.
Use fluoridated dental products. Using a fluoridated mouth rinse daily can decrease sensitivity. Ask your dentist about products available for home use.
Don’t grind your teeth. Use a mouth guard at night.
See your dentist every 6 months (or sooner, depending on your condition).
If you still have discomfort, talk to your dentist. There may be a procedure that can help. He might recommend:

White fillings(bonding) to cover exposed root surfaces
Fluoride varnishes applied to the exposed root surface
Dentin sealers applied to the exposed root surface

How to get a white shade for teeth, I brush twice a day but it not working, suggest me some useful tip.

How to get a white shade for teeth, I brush twice a day but it not working, suggest me some useful tip.
Hello. When brushing twice a day and flossing doesn't help improve your yellow teeth, it's time to consider other options. Teeth become yellow due to stains – both deep and surface-level – as well as other causes that sometimes aren't under our control. Enamel naturally wears thin as people age, but acids from foods and drinks such as sour candies, oranges and soda also thin the enamel by eroding its surface. Saliva neutralizes acid and washes it away, but people suffering from dry mouth miss out on this protective effect. Preventing Yellow Teeth: Avoiding smoking, coffee and soda helps prevent yellow teeth, or you can get into the habit of drinking those darker beverages through a straw. Drink milk or plain water after eating or drinking something acidic to help reduce the acid's eroding effect. Brushing and flossing also help, and avoiding snacks between meals allows your saliva to dilute the acids in your mouth too. Using over-the-counter whitening agents will also helps. Discolorations are generally responsive to bleaching procedures.

Nutritional deficiency, excessive stress & debilitating disease can cause ulcer. Exercise regularly. Have a balanced diet. Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. Increase dietary intake of vitamin B, folic acid, iron and use of vitamin supplements etc under medical supervision if blood tests confirm low concentrations

Kindly get scaling done and use mouth wash twice daily for 15 days. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique. Also notice that you are not constipated most of the times as this is also one of the reasons for bad breath.

The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.
