Bad breath can b caused fue to various reasons. Other diseases n infections which also cause bad breath r sinus infections, respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis n pneumonia, liver n kidney probs, diabetes, acid reflux from stomach etc. Get scalling done by dentist. Prevent Dental Stains Without Chemicals

Do you wish your teeth were whiter? Some people have off-white teeth naturally, probably through their genetic inheritance. Others get stained teeth over time for a variety of reasons. If you would like to brighten your smile but don't want to put the time or money into commercially whitening them, here are a few suggestions for doing it on your own.

1. Limit your consumption of tea, which contains tannic acid. This substance can darken teeth gradually over time, as evidenced by the stains left in teacups used for serving this beverage. You also may want to cut back on cola products, which has a similar but lesser effect. Any foods with deep colors, like blueberries, can leave stains on your tooth enamel. So be sure to brush your teeth after eating foods like these.

2. Rinse your mouth after eating. For best results, try to rinse with water even after snacks, including pop or candy bars. This will prevent foods from sticking to or staying with your teeth, where they can adhere to the enamel and cause stains to appear gradually. At work, use the drinking fountain or bathroom sink for a quick rinse. The quicker you rinse, the better results you will have. Some people even carry small bottles of mouthwash for a quick gargle after lunch.

3. Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Morning and evening are the best times, or following two of your main meals. This will help to remove food bits that can cause discoloration or decay. You can use whitening toothpaste if you prefer, which will provide a low-key brightening effect on your teeth without the use of harsh chemicals or abrasive products. Ask your dentist to recommend a safe whitener for this purpose.

4. Ask about tetracycline substitutes. If you are prescribed tetracycline, a popular antibiotic, ask the doctor if there is a reasonable substitute, as tetracycline has been known to discolor patients' teeth, especially those who took it frequently or for prolonged periods of time. If you must take it, check with your dentist about how to combat the potential darkening effect it may have on your teeth. Other medications may have this effect, as well, so if tooth color is a problem, ask your doctor about the potential for discoloration for any prescription you receive, or simply inquire about those you should avoid.

Hi lybrate-user, It is normal to have wearing of enamel with age. If its really bad then you can opt for smile correction and undergo laminates or veneers whichever is good for you. Rest you can use a super soft bristle tooth brush and brush gently.

Gagging it is. Try to keep your head at little down position while brushing. When you look at front or upside while brushing, more chances are there, for the toothpaste or else to go at back and cause gagging. Plus amount of toothpaste you need is of pea size. Avoid excessive usage of that. Try and practise even without toothpaste some other time of the day. If brushing not helping much start with flossing and mouthwash as well.

Fever is due to some infection in the body. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need full mouth x ray (opg) first. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Goggle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. My friend is suffering from mouth odor, sometime suddenly blood come. what will he do? kindly give your expert opinion.
ask your friend to visit a dentist for professional cleaning of teeth. bad odour from mouth and bleeding gums are due to gum infection which develops due to deposition of plaque and calculus around teeth. professional cleaning will remove this layer and gradually problem will subside. also start warm saline rinses after treatment and follow oral hygiene habits properly.

Hi lybrate-user. It's a very genuine problem which you posted. Sensitive teeth can be few or many teeth. Basically this happens due to enamel (top most layer) of the teeth getting thinner or at times due to chipping off the layer. And initially it wud be sensitive to cold air, cold foods, cold drinks and sweets. Further as the problem increases it will gradually be sensitive to hot foods as well. There are two courses of action for this 1. Management of the condition as temporary means by tooth pastes containing potassium nitrate or strontium chloride. But all this is temporary 2. Treatment wud be a definitive course for this treatment. Could be done with layers fillings or other means kindly visit your dentist for the appropriate therapy hope I answered you well

Teeth pain while eating sweet n drinking cold drinks can be due to decay in tooth. Get your teeth x-rayed to determine the extent of decay. For bleeding gums, go for scaling and polishing.

I have an severe headache and when I
drink cool drinks I feel nerve chillnous in my teeth.
A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Advance procedures can be done with laser.Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

My upper & lower teeth (6nos) have fallen down. Is there any treatment to fix the artificial teeth. Please give your suggestion.

Gopod evening viral, at 47 yrs of age it is sad to know that yoy have lost 6 teeth. Now, the best way to treat the same and replace them is giving you dental titanium implants, which when placed would integrate with your bone as a root and the crown is build over it after 3 to 4 months when the integration gets complete. The other way is to give you crowns and bridges - like a bridge with 2 banks. Now the best way to help you is only possible by way of dental examination by a dental surgeon specialist at your place or good photograpjs being shared with us on the platform.
