She is on second last day of periods and we had unprotected sex. I did not ejaculated completely but not sure about few drops. So to reduce risk I gave her contraceptive pill. So I want to know is there any chance of her getting pregnant.

Sometimes my breasts pains sometimes its all ok. Is there anything to worry about. Is there any chance of breast cancer.

Breast pain is a common problem if it occurs before periods, because it happens due to hormonal changes, however if the pain stays all through the month or if you can feel some lump/swelling then you may need to do ultrasound examination of breasts. Wearing a well fitting bra may help. Though chance of cancer is very low yet you have to do ultrasound to be sure.

Men's Sexual Problems

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Faridabad
Men's Sexual Problems

Men's sexual problems:
Around 4 in 10 men experience sex problems.
Men's sexual problems can happen at any time of life, but become more common with age.

Most sexual problems can be treated - so seek medical advice if you have concerns.

Men's sex problems include:

1. Erectile dysfunction - sometimes called impotence - is a problem getting and keeping an erection for sex.
2. Premature ejaculation, this is coming sooner than he'd like to during sex.
3. Inhibited ejaculation, retarded ejaculation, when the man is slow to ejaculate.
4. Retrograde ejaculation, where the ejaculation goes into the bladder instead of out of the penis.
5. Less interest in sex, loss of sex drive or libido.

What causes men's sexual problems?

Men's sex problems may be due to:

1. Physical causes, including diabetes, heart disease and other long-term health conditions
2. Alcohol abuse
3. Drug abuse
4. Medication side-effects, including some antidepressants
5. Stress
6. Anxiety
7. Depression
8. Worries over sexual performance, unrealistic expectations about sexual performance
9. Relationship problems
10. Low testosterone
11. Past traumatic sexual experiences.

How are men's sex problems diagnosed?

A doctor will ask about symptoms, review a man's medical history and may carry out a physical examination.

A gp or sexual health clinic may be able to make a diagnosis - or a referral may be made to specialists for further assessments, tests or treatment.

Specialists who may help with men's sex problems include:

1. Urologists, who specialise in the urinary tract and reproductive system
2. Endocrinologists, who specialise in conditions affecting hormones
3. Neurologists, who specialise in the body's nerve networks
4. Sex therapists or counsellors
5. Mental health specialists.

What tests are used to diagnose men's sex problems?

Diagnostic tests for men's sex problems include:

  • Blood tests, to identify any hormone problems, such as low testosterone, and any undiagnosed medical problems, such as diabetes
  • Checking blood flow to the penis for any blockages or restrictions
  • Nerve checks, for any loss of sensation, such as complications of diabetes
  • Night-time penis rigidity tests, to check if natural erections that happen at night are stronger than a man may experience while awake, which may suggest psychological causes.

Hello I am female facing vaginal infection. Can you suggest with tablets and cream?

BHMS, DEMS
Homeopath, Pune
Vaginitis is usually caused by a change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria, an infection, or reduced estrogen levels after menopause. Symptoms include an unusual vaginal discharge, itching or irritation, painful urination, and pain during intercourse. The symptoms of vaginal infections will also vary based on the cause of your infection: Bacterial infections typically cause grayish-white or yellow discharge. This discharge may have a fish-like odor that’s easily noticed after sex. Yeast infections typically produce itching. If discharge is present, it may be thick and white and look like cottage cheese. Trichomoniasis is a condition that can produce vaginal itching and odor. Discharge from this infection is typically greenish-yellow and may be frothy. Irritants: Soaps, body washes, perfumes, and vaginal contraceptives can all irritate your vagina. This can cause inflammation. Tight-fitting clothes may also cause heat rashes that irritate your vagina. Not all vaginal infections can be prevented. Using a condom during sexual intercourse will help prevent the spread of STIs. It will also lower your risk of contracting them. Proper hygiene can also help prevent some vaginal infections. When possible, you should wear cotton underwear and pantyhose with a cotton crotch. This can lower your risk of developing vaginal inflammation and irritation. Some women develop inflammation and irritation from wearing less breathable fabrics. For medicine consult privately.

Have severe pricking pain during inter course and severe burning sensation after the new please suggest me the remedy.
Hello, pricking pain during intercourse could be due to inadequate lubrication or even vaginitis. So a vaginal swan culture is recommended before any lubricants are tried for.

What is the difference between normal delivery and cesarian section for pregnant women.

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), PGDHHM, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Delhi
What is the difference between normal delivery and cesarian section for pregnant women.
normal deliveryis natural spontaneous vaginal delivery. delivering a baby through the vagina. a little incision is made in the vaginal wall to accomodate the baby's head and shoulder.cesarean, on other hand, is a form of delivery in which a big incision in the abdomen and uterus is done where the baby can pass through, this is usually done if the baby's feet is on the vaginal side making it hard for the doctor to pull off the baby through the vaginal canal, this done in pre-eclampsia cases, or prolonged labor or any complication during pregnancy.

Five Things That The Body Goes Through During Orgasm

Diploma in Paediatrics, MBBS
Sexologist, Dehradun
Five Things That The Body Goes Through During Orgasm

Also known as sexual climax, orgasm is the sudden ejection of stored sexual excitement during the process of having sex. It involves the rhythmic flexing of the muscles near the pelvic area resulting in an immensely pleasurable experience. Considered an involuntary action, it is experienced by both men and women, though they occur due to different circumstances.

While the sexual stimulation of the penis is responsible for orgasm in males, it is the stimulation of the clitoris that causes the same in women. In both the sexes the body undergoes certain changes during orgasm.

Few of them are:

  1. Effect on genitals: Though orgasm results in a pleasurable experience in both men and women, their genitals do not react in a similar way. Women experience a heady rush as the blood flow to the clitoris and vagina. Subsequently, the vagina secretes lubricants and increases in size. On the other hand, men experience a feeling of contraction and throbbing in their penis and prostate region. Despite the differences, the genitals in the cases release powerful sexual energy during orgasm.
  2. Increase in blood rate and rapid breathing: This condition is common to both men and women. Due to the dilation of the blood vessels, both the sex experience an increase in heart rate, contraction of muscles and rapid breathing during orgasm.
  3. Release of hormones: During orgasm, there is an excessive discharge of oxytocin in both men and women. When this hormone floods the brain, it creates feelings of intimacy and a sense of warm bond. However, in males another hormone called testosterone is released which operates as a counter to the effects of oxytocin.
  4. Effects on brain during orgasm: The brain of men and women operate differently. The periaqueductal gray also known as PAG, an area responsible to control fights, is activated in women. At the same time, women also experience a sudden decrease in apprehension and fear. However, the same does not happen in the case of men.
  5. Stimulation of nerve endings: During orgasm, millions of nerve endings on the penis, vaginal opening, testes and clitoris are triggered and stimulated. This consequently produces the feeling of an arousal.

Hello, menses tend to be irregular during adolescence due to hormonal immaturity unless you are already sexually active and expecting pregnancy. In that case you should rule out pregnancy. However if not, then you should wait and watch the pattern of your next 3 cycles which if irregularly irregular then you can be placed on low dose oc pills for regularity and contraction both.
