It can be due to progressive myopia, also one should rule out keratoconus. If it becomes stable, you can undergo icl (lens implantation in the eye) even if cornea is thin. Kindly consult ophthalmologist.

Most time I use smartphone and also wear glasses 1-. Will my eye get more worse if I use smartphone.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Most time I use smartphone and also wear glasses 1-. Will my eye get more worse if I use smartphone.
Mobile screen is made up of hundreds of tiny pixels that are constantly moving. Our eyes in turn are not naturally able to set focus on these constantly moving pixels, and hence we try to focus on an area behind the actual screen. Therefore, in order to work on a mobile, our eyes need to keep on fluctuating focus between their natural point of focus and the pixels on the screen. And this tires the eyes and causes a lot of wear and tear.As a result, we suffer from irritation, which may range from a number of things like headaches, dry eyes, blurred vision, problems in focusing and faulty color perception, to something as severe as glaucoma. The electromagnetic waves that are emitted by a mobile phone can be extremely damaging to the eyes. It has been studied and well documented that these cell phone waves can have a damaging effect on the various parts of the eye, including the retina and the cornea. Moreover, they can cause cataract too. Moreover it is more distressing for our eyes to view contents on a tiny screen which requires even more concentration and extenive usage of eyes without blinking thus causing Eye dryness making them vulnerable to frequent Eye problemss. . The solution for this problem I its reduced usage and while uing mobiles use them inproper light. There is nothing more effective than controlling usage to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the mobile’s screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of mobile usage or take frequent breaks.

How we can gain muscles without gaining a fat. And. How we can reduce yellowish from our eyes.
The yellowish you r talking is normal pigmentation of conjunctiva (a thin membrane covering eye ball). There is no way to get rid of this and its perfectly normal like our skin colour. Do not think about it.

Is Your Vision Clouded? It Could Be Cataracts

FICO-1, DOMS
Ophthalmologist, Delhi
Is Your Vision Clouded? It Could Be Cataracts

Cataract can be defined as the clouding of the natural lenses in the eyes. This is caused by the clumping of protein in the eye lens. Cataract is a common eye disorder and the leading cause of loss of vision in people who are past their fortieth birthday. Cataract can occur in one or both eyes. When diagnosed properly, cataract can be treated with surgery to prevent blindness.

Depending on where and how they develop, there are many types of cataract. The most common amongst these are:

  1. Subcapsular cataract: These occur at the back of the eye lens. Diabetic patients are very susceptible to this kind of cataract.
  2. Nuclear cataract: Yellowish-brown cataract that form in the center of the lens are called nuclear cataract. This is usually seen in cataract caused by ageing.
  3. Cortical cataract: Cataract in the lens cortex are known as cortical cataract. These are wedge shaped and whitish in color. Spokes protruding out of these opaque wedges can be seen moving towards the center of the eye.
  4. Congenital cataract: Though they are not common, babies can also have cataract. Cataract formed at birth or within the first year of a baby's birth are known as congenital cataract.
  5. Secondary cataract: Cataract is one of the known side effects of diabetes and glaucoma. Some steroids and medicines are also linked to cataract.
  6. Traumatic cataract: If your vision becomes cloudy years after an eye injury, it could be a traumatic cataract. It can take several years for this to happen.
  7. Radiation cataract: Exposure to radiation can also lead to cataract. This is seen sometimes in patients who have undergone radiation therapy to fight diseases like cancer.

Though the type of cataract might differ from person to person, the symptoms are usually the same. Some of the common symptoms of cataract are:

  1. Blurred vision
  2. Reduced night vision
  3. Increased sensitivity to light and glare
  4. Seeing halos around lights
  5. Colors appearing faded
  6. Double vision

A reading test is the first step towards diagnosing cataracts. This is followed by tests to measure the eye pressure. Your doctor will also need to dilate the pupil to check the condition of the optic nerves and retina.

Surgery is the safest way to remove a cataract. Surgery is usually recommended when cataract begin inhibiting your daily life such as preventing you from driving, interfering with reading etc.

In most cases, this can be done as an outpatient procedure. The earlier it is diagnosed, the easier it is to treat. Hence, if you notice any of the symptoms mentioned above, get your eyes checked at once. The surgery is a day-care surgery only, so a person can go home the same day.

There is no supplement to replace a good nights sleep. Sleep disorders and having too less sleep can affect your immunity and general well being. So try to make up for lost sleep and avoid night shifts for too long. Take omega 3 fatty acid supplements for your well being.

I am facing blurred vision if using my phone for some regular time say for game or movies
Guide regarding this.
Hi lybrate-user. I have a few suggestions for you regarding the usage of computers, mobile phones and books. The first thing to remember is that long term continuous usage of mobile phones or computers is harmful for the eyes. Ranging from dry eyes to multiple postural defects, there are many consequences. The good news is that there are simple tips and solutions to avoid these problems from occurring. Let me enumerate them in brief: follow the rule of" 20" this means that every 20 minutes, take a gap of 20 seconds, blink your eyes actively 20 times and focus at an object which is minimum 20 feet away. This will help in relieving your eyes from the continuous strain that is caused due to staring. Staring at the computer continuously causes us to subconsciously blink less than normal. This causes the tear film on the surface of the eye to dry up. The result of this is pain, discomfort, etc. Another suggestions regarding the usage of computers is to maintain a proper posture. The computer must be positioned at the same height as your eye level. The neck should not be inadvertently flexed or extended. Remember the rule of 90. Roughly, an angle of 90 degrees should be maintained between your upper body and thighs. Likewise, a similar angle (90 degrees) should be maintained between your lower legs and thighs. Also the angle between your hands and arms should be roughly 90 degrees. This is the healthy ergonomic way of sitting while using a computer. Maintenance of proper posture would help in further relieving the symptoms of eye discomfort and pain. Also remember the rule of 1. At least 1 time in a day, wash your eyes with clean hands and clean water in a gentle manner. Exercise for at least 1 hour in a day. Try to spend 1 hour with nature. (eg. In a park, garden, etc.) you could consider preservative free lubricant eye drops 4 to 5 times daily. These eye drops would ensure that your eyes stay well lubricated and fresh. All these suggestions may take a while to sink in and imbibe in your routine. Once followed, they are sure to work wonders for you. You could also use a preservative free lubricant eye drop 4 to 5 times in a day. Also, adequate sleep of 7 hours a day is essential in order to maintain healthy eyes. Hope my suggestions help you. Take care.

Does patching of good eye help reduce squint in the other eye? What are other options available to reduce squint in eye.

FICO, DNB Ophtalmology

Does patching of good eye help reduce squint in the other eye? What are other options available to reduce squint in eye.
Hello. Patching therapy is definitely useful if done at a specific age range. It helps in reducing the squint as well as improving the visual acuity. Other options available to improve squint in the eye are: (1) surgery for the squint. It should be done after patching therapy has been tried or else if there is a risk of vision loss in the affected eye due to amblyopia. (2) certain eye drops are useful and act as an indirect patch for the eye. (3) glasses. Certain types and degrees of squints are correctable by glasses. A squint specialist would be the best person to consult in this regard. Hope my suggestions helped you. Take care.

Hi I am rahul kumar and I have eyes problem I can't see properly I want to see all things what can I do? Please help me.
There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 21 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

My eyesight is week due to which I constantly feel pain my eyes when I use mobile phone.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

My eyesight is week due to which I constantly feel pain my eyes when I use mobile phone.
First of all use proper eye glasses for your eyes and While using mobile for long intervals continuously, eyes get exhausted. While using Mobile make sure that the lightening in room is proper to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the Mobile screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of Mobile usage or take frequent breaks. Dont use mobile continuously for more than 5 minutes and most important dont use mobile with low battery or while charging. The bright light of the mobile screen gets more focused on our eyes and this causes dryness of the eyes and thus causing weakness of vision and eye and head pain. Homoeopathic medicine CINELUBE EYE DROPS ( HAPDCO) Pour 2 drops 3 times daily.
