Hello, now you are asymptomatic , means there is no pain then there is no need to go under surgery, but keep a regular follow up with your doctor. Take Five phos 6x, 5 tabs twice daily, this is a tonic for joints. Take care and thanks.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Along this journey of BPH / Urine retention / Tamsulosin / Urolift, etc etc. I have for the last 3 months been dealing with lower back pain, it's pretty much constant and when I get up from sitting or from bed I am stooped over a few minutes until I can get straightened out then I seem to be ok.

Hello lybrate user, if you are still on medications for problems you have mentioned better go through only external care for your lower back like - apply ksheerabala taila/ dhanwantara taila and keep hot water bag over there for 15min which will relive you from back pain and strengthen your back bones as such. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Also take calcium tablets shelcal 500mg for a limited period 2 months consult after 10 days. Do some breathing exercise-regularly.

For calcium deficiencies you need to give her calcium supplements. Also check her vitamin d level. For knee arthritis pain a heating pad or cold pack can feel really good on achy joints. Use whichever one feels better unless you have an injury, in which case cold is best for the first couple of days. You can apply cold or heat several times a day. Just remember to cover the cold pack with a towel and keep your heating pad at a low setting to avoid burning your skin. Whether you use heat or cold, remove it after 20 to 30 minutes. Physical activity is essential for people with osteoarthritis, whether it means walking around your apartment. Activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities you should avoid until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting see a physiotherapist for stretching and strengthening exercises of leg muscles. I'm 57yrs old suffering from knee pain from past 1 months occurs during walking and climbing staircase.No problem while sitting or just standing. I got operated thigh bone due to fracture because of which couldn't walk properly from past 4 months. I vistied doctors in my place. They suggested for x-ray and then doctor advised due to not walking much. The knee bone has been degenerated. Only solution is to walk more. I am doing so but no improvement. Could you please suggest any alternative medicine I can try.

Dear you can aproach physiotherapist. He will help you in relieving pain and teach you knee strengthening exercises. You should also change your life style like avoid knee bending more the 90*, avoid squatting, sitting down, use western style for toilets. Avoid stair climbing. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Your back pain is due a pathology in your lower back region and it should not be correlated with both your surgeries. It is incidental that your pain has increased after your 2nd surgery. Please tell me duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias ( electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. 1. Apply elastic crepe bandage to ankle joint 2. Keep lime in elevated position 3. Ice therapy for 30 mins 4. You can use any ointment 5. Rest for 3 days 6. X ray of ankle joint if not subside with above treatment take care.

are u overweight????, do some following things 1- walk slowly 30 min daily. 2- doing some aerobic exercise such as swimming, or biking three to five times a week, eventually working up to sessions of 30 to 60 min. 3- reduce your weight gradually. 4- don't do heavy exercise. 5- take proper healthy diet.
