hi sonam if I were your treating family doctor I would evaluate you first .. most commonly FOR on and off chest pain heart attack can be ruled out first. nextly it should move only gastritis . for that ask him to take tab.razo-d for two weeks twice a day before food. x ray obviously will be normal. it has nothing to do with your chest pain. . drink plenty of water of atleast 5 to 6 litres of water per day which is compulsory. hope I answered your question.don't hesitate to ask me any quiries if you have any . have a good day.

Dear sir What is the difference between bypass surgery nd stent placement in heart?

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
Dear sir
What is the difference between bypass surgery nd stent placement in heart?
Sent is also called baloon intervention, it's not a surgery in the real sense, a device is passed through a major blood vessel of body and blockages in blood vessels giving blood to heart are cleared, in bypass surgery, blood vessels are taken from legs or arms are grafted and connected to major blood vessels supplying blood to entire body bypass rout is created for blood to flow smoothly to entire body and yes it is a major surgery but with advanced technology, there is nothing to fear by both procedures.

Masturbation is a healthy way of relieving sexual tension. It is normal, not harmful and it is not going to cause any marital problem. However it should be done in moderation, preferably 2-3 times a week. Don’t feel guilty about it

Warmth sensation of body may be due to reduced water intake, anxiety or hyperthyroidism. Get your thyroid profile done. Take plenty of water. What is the vaccination of dengue?

CCEDM(DIABETES), MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician,
What is the vaccination of dengue?
there is no vaccination for dengue yet. The principal symptoms of dengue are: High fever and at least two of the following: Severe headache Severe eye pain (behind eyes) Joint pain Muscle and/or bone pain Rash Mild bleeding manifestation (e. G, nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: Severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting Red spots or patches on the skin Bleeding from nose or gums Vomiting blood Black, tarry stools (feces, excrement) Drowsiness or irritability Pale, cold, or clammy skin Difficulty breathing There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection.Use analgesics (pain relievers) with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. Take rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water etc. Prevention: the best way is to prevent bites by infected mosquitoes. To protect yourself: Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. Use mosquito repellents, even indoors. When outdoors, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants tucked into socks. Make sure window and door screens are secure and free of holes. If sleeping areas are not screened or air conditioned, use mosquito nets

Dear, psychiatric medications are not meant to get dependent on them. You may have got relief the first time in a month period and that is a good sign that your body had ability to recover fast. May be your anxiety was not complicated by factors which may be present now. This time if your anxiety is not getting controlled, its better either you visit another doctor or simply ask him to change medicines. If he doesn't do that, then its better you should try Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) this time. It is a form of psychotherapy and targets symptoms of anxiety very well. There are several techniques in this form of therapy and step by step, in a short period of time, you may easily regulate your symptoms. That means, CBT is a form of therapy which makes you the master of your symptoms, rather than medicines. Medicinal treatment assumes that all symptoms of anxiety (or any other disorder) are due to changes in brain chemistry but ignores several other psychological factors which can be dealt only with psychotherapy. Your psychiatrist has put you on medical treatment which is generally the first line treatment for any patient but good psychiatrists always ask to get psychotherapy too. Relapse of symptoms that has happened with you may be dealt better with CBT rather than medicines. This time you MUST consider taking CBT from a good psychotherapist. Psychotherapists are Clinical Psychologists who are trained to provide different forms of psychotherapy. As I can read here, you are able to realize that your palpitations are triggered by stress or other things. This awareness is sufficient to work on cognitive and behavioral aspects of your anxiety. If anxiety gets controlled by medicines, its good, but it is always recommended to take CBT.

Health Tip: 7 signs of heart disease

General Physician (AM)
Alternative Medicine Specialist, Chandigarh
Health Tip: 7 signs of heart disease
Health Tip: 7 signs of heart disease

The signs and symptoms of heart disease start before the recognizable stabbing chest pain that many would expect with a heart attack.

In fact, many patients have signs that something is wrong with their heart for weeks or even months before they actually have a cardiac event, and doctors warn that sometimes those signs may be subtle

"The more risk factors you have, the higher the likelihood that a symptom means something is going on with your heart"

"People often don't want to admit that they're old enough or sick enough to have heart trouble. Putting off treatment for other medical problems might not be so bad, but a serious heart problem can mean sudden death"

Risk factors of heart disease include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, smoking, diabetes, or a family history of heart disease, the site said.

Here are seven signs of heart disease that you should have checked out:

1. Chest discomfort or pain (angina): It's the number one recognized symptom of heart problems (although not all chest pain is caused by the heart), sometimes the pain isn't intense.

"Heart-related chest pain is often centered under the breastbone, perhaps a little to the left of center. The pain has been likened to 'an elephant sitting on the chest' but it can also be an uncomfortable sensation of pressure, squeezing, or fullness"

2. Shortness of breath: Several heart problems cause people to feel short of breath, which will often get worse with movement or exercise, reports the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

It can be a sign of heart failure, which occurs when "your heart can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs" Shortness of breath can also be a symptom of broken heart syndrome, or stress-induced cardiomyopathy.

3. Dizziness, light headed ness, fainting: Any of these symptoms can indicate heart disease, and according to me, the problem can be regarding several heart issues: abnormal heartbeats, weak heart muscles (called dilated cardiomyopathy), and valve problems, among others.

4. Heart arrhythmias, or abnormal heartbeats: If you feel as if your heart is fluttering in your chest, beating too fast or slow, it may be an indication of heart disease, or even a heart attack.

5. Changes to "normal" If it's suddenly difficult to climb stairs you climb every day or do other activities that usually are part of your routine, it can be a sign that there's a problem. Notice if you find yourself saying, "I used to be able to [climb stairs, mow the lawn] but now I have to stop because I get [light-headed, short of breath, palpitations]

6. Erectile dysfunction: Sometimes men are embarrassed or hesitate to see a doctor when they have problems getting erections. But they should be aware, a 2013 study which followed 90,000 men, found "the worse erectile dysfunction, the more heart disease and risk of early death a man had,

7. Swelling in your legs: Puffiness in legs, ankles, calves, and feet can be a sign of a problem with your heart's pumping action. Although other things can cause the issue, such as hormone changes, salt, and medications, a doctor should check out potential heart disease
