There is been content hip joints pain in both leg knee some time it make to stand very uncomfortable for few minutes, I am now 74 years, having diabetes for the last 20 years, and during nights, I am not able to sleep very comfortably I am under insulin, and take medicines, regularly, what type of medicine I should use for this discomforts, kindly suggest I am from secunderabad presently telangana state.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

May be you are working. So it can be cervical too. So take rest. Avoid forward bending of neck. Do isometric exercises of neck. Be careful about posture. Avoid use of high pillows.

Identify the midpoint between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem.

I am having severe pain in legs, Knees. What should i do?
1.. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2.. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3.. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4.. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5.. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

Muscle cramp may be due to deficiency of minerals and water in your body. Drink at least 200ml of water in interval of every 1 hour and stretch your calf muscle.

Hi I can understand your problem. Do not lift heavy weights. For pain and swelling apply cold pack for 20 min. Thrice a day for 5 days. There are various reasons for arm pain and there are different non surgical treatment options for same in physiotherapy. I have pain in my right leg for last 25 days. Pain is not constant but arises regular at some intervals. It pains in the toe and leg (opposite side of the toe) and sometimes knees. Already done uric acid testing and the result is in permissible limit. Can anyone suggest the problem.

Some common causes of legs pain include: 1. Frequent stress/tension 2. Muscle tension in one or more areas of the body 3. Overusing the muscle during physical activity 4. Nutritional deficiencies like vitamins esp. Vit-d 5. Less water intake 6. Physical weakness due to frequent infections muscle pain in legs can be due to following reasons 1. Over weight 2. Sciatica 3. Peripheral vascular disease 4. Deep venous thrombosis 5. Sports injury 6. Recently I had gone for bone mineral densitometry and as per observation lumbar spine (L1 to L4" could not be interpreted due to scoliosis and degenerative changes. Sit in sun for 20 minutes daily with minimum clothing. Drink 2 glasses of Kinnoo or orange juice daily. Drink pasteurized milk without boiling. Follow healthy life style. Even diabetes can be reversed by following healthy life style.

Probably it's some strain,sprain or tendinitis which should be examined for by orthopedic doctor.support arm in sling and avoid weight lifting or other exercises until you get yourself checked up.

Mostly pain in elbow is due to strained or inflamed soft tissues like tendon. There are many other reasons why pain in elbow occurs so to rule out the exact cause you need to go for proper investigation. Pain in elbow is common complain of players or housewives. After looking to your pain I would recommed you for some care that you can take at home. If possible visit some physio who can give you several mdalities like US, IFT etc to cure the pain. Along with it we have a special program designed in case of elbow pain (tennis or golfer’s elbow) like PNF, Hold Relax etc just to get relief from pain. Precautions: 1. Avoid weight lifting. 2. Avoid doing twisting moments like supination-pronation which usally is done while playing badmitton or while washing clothes. 3. Give rest to your work for some days. 4. Wear forearm band to rest your muscles. 5. Avoid bending your elbow into positions that cause the symptoms. Treatment: 1. Give rest to your elbow. If severe pain you can use sling to avoid gravity pressure. 2. Ice and hot pack combo. Apply ice for 3 min and then hot for 2 min. There is very good result of both applications together. After 3 days of taking contrast therapy you can make the ice and hot ratio as 1: 1 mean one min cold and then one min hot. Start with hot pack and ends with cold. Take it for 15-18 min thrice a day for early recovery. Please make sure it should not be too hot or too cold. 3. Massage using your 2 fingers over the painful area. 4. Exercises: Start the exercise once your pain is decreased atleast 50-60% A) Palm lifting B) Elbow up and down in gravity eliminated position C) Strengthening of elbow muscles. Care for shoulder pain and related problems

Shoulder problems usually happen because of internal problems or external trauma. People who are into any form of manual labour, pick up a lot of heavy things regularly or play sports experience shoulder pain at some point of time or other. Shoulder pain can be detected by physical examination, mri, x-ray, ultrasound and medical history.

The most common types of shoulder problems are arthritis, fracture, dislocation, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tear, and rotator cuff disease. Cures for the different shoulder pains are different. Follow these simple ways to help you manage the pain.

1. Rest the hurtful shoulder: you need to take ample rest. Using the arm which is affected is not a good idea and needs to be avoided. If your job involves manual labour, it is advised that you stay at home to rest.

2. Ice pack healing: applying ice pack on the wound is also advised around 3-4 times in a day. This varies as per the kind of shoulder pain, so doctor's advice must be followed.

3. Be consistent with exercise: depending upon the source of pain, physiotherapist will advise certain sets of shoulder exercises. It is very important that they should be performed diligently for fast recovery.

4. Support it well: wearing a sling is extremely important and should not be taken lightly at any point of time. A good support will ensure
