Hello Doctor, I'm 20 and have a wheatish complexion. I tend to have a lot of pigmentation on the skin folds like neck, underarms etc and even around the upper lip and chin. I've tried exfoliation but it doesn't help much. It's quite embarrassing at times. Pls suggest some home remedies and an approximate time it will take to fade away the pigmentation.

1. Apply pure honey to your face, leave it on for a few minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. This simple remedy will help remove dead skin cells, making your skin appear brighter and fresher than before. Do this once daily. 2. To make a skin-lightening mask, combine one teaspoon each of honey and lemon juice, one tablespoon of powdered milk, and one-half teaspoon of almond oil. Mix them well and apply it gently on the skin. Leave it on for 10 to15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.

Dear Lybrate User, *Fresh vegetables such as beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, celery, leafy greens, onions, garlic, peppers and sprouts will help increase the light element in the body. Fruits to favor include; berries, apples, pears, pomegranate, raisins, lemons, prunes and apricots. Generally heavier and sweet fruit and vegetables such as potatoes, cucumber, zucchini, bananas, coconuts, avocados, oranges, grapes and pineapples are best avoided.

Hi Doctor. Earlier my skin was in uppermedium complexion but now I switch over my staying at erode. And my complexion has turned to black like dark Wheaties brown and my skin turned something like to be prickly heats burn when I got too much of sweat. I am using the soap is lux in ocean green color creamy white soap. Really I am in frustration mode because of my changed complexion. I have to change my complexion and have to get the fair skin how can I change my skin. What soap actually I have to use. please suggest some treatments and ways to get rid of my skin problems. For complete fifteen days apply aloe vera fresh leaf gel (peel the leaf) only after washing face with plain water. Keep overnight. Wash in the morning. Keep gut clean gut by tarunikusumakar chooran 1 tsp every night with warm water for two weeks. Eat non spicy, non greasy, less salty food. Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Mr. Lybrate-user, your friend may be having t1 diabetes, which needs insulin injections as treatment, as in t1 dm there is no insulin produced by beta cells of pancreas. So if starts taking that plus proper diet control and some physical exercise, he should be able to improve the health. But treatment is for lifetime.

Jock itch is a very common groin rash. Roughly half of jock itch is due to fungus. The remainder is caused by moisture, irritation, and bacterial overgrowth. In most cases, jock itch can be treated at home effectively. You can try the following remedies to get rid of the infection: 1. Apply over-the-counter antifungal cream, powder, or spray to the affected area - our best options include Lamisil, Lotrimin Ultra, and/or Naftin. These are more expensive, but they will get rid of jock itch faster. Prefer Lotrimin Ultra which contains Butenafine Hydrochloride over regular Lotrimin AF which just contains clotrimazole. Studies have shown Butenafine can be faster and more effective than clotrimazole. You can also purchase cheaper creams containing clotrimazole or miconazole. These will take a little longer to work, but they will effectively wipe out jock itch. 2. Wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and warm water. 3. Dry the affected area thoroughly after bathing and exercise. 4. Change clothes and undergarments every day. 5. Wear loose cotton clothing. Avoid wearing any clothing that rubs or irritates your crotch. 6. Treat any other fungal infections, such as athlete’s foot. Doing this will decrease the risk for recurrence.

I suggest you to adopt pure herbal treatment. Results will be visible in two months onwards. In principle you have to cleanse toxins from inside body by cleansing the gut by herbs.
