Body heat in indian ayurvedic system is said to be due to pitta dosha. Pitta or body heat is important for the proper functioning of metabolism. When there is too much pitta, it results in pitta dosha. To keep your body heat in control - 1. Avoid fried, spicy foods that can cause your normal body temperature to go up. Eat cool foods like cucumber, watermelon, buttermilk. 2. Drink plenty of cold water throughout the day. 3. Sabja (basil) seeds, soaked in water for some time and then added to milk with rosewater are effective in reducing body heat. 4. Yoga exercises, such as pranayama, suryanamaskar and trikonasana help in cooling the body. 5. Herbal teas made from coriander, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and rosewater, improve metabolism. 6. You can wear clothes in light pastel colours for a cooling effect. Fabrics such as linen and cotton keep the body cool. 7. Reduce consumption of too much salt, oil and spices as they add heat to the body.

I hope this message finds you in good health. To prevent hair fall, you can follow some simple steps as listed below: 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home). 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yogurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion. 6. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 7. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 8. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain pH balance of your hair. 9. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. Eat things rich in vitamin C like amla and oranges. 10. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to flush out toxins from the body.

Dear lybrate-user its common to have the symptoms which you are having during periods. If it is unbearable then definitely you have to consult a gynae but if its not then medications wil help. Meftal spas is the best if you are not allergic to the medication. God bless n take care.

Unlike tooth decay, which often causes discomfort, it is possible to have periodontal diseases without noticeable symptoms. That is why regular dental checkups and periodontal examinations are very important. Several warning signs can signal a problem. While periodontal disease may begin slowly for some patients. Others may develop a rapidly slowly for some patients, others may develop a rapidly progressive form of the disease. If you notice any of the following:

1. Gums that bleed easily

2. Red, swollen, or tender gums.

3. Gums that have pulled away from your teeth.

4. Persistent bad breath.

5. Pus between the teeth and gums.

6. Looser or separating teeth.

7. A change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite.

8. A change in the fit of partial dentures.

Hi. As I have high anxiety disorder and my b.p never reads normal in a clinic. It shoots up from 115/75 to 170/110. Is there any s.o.s. Medicine which I can take before taking the bp as I have a heart condition and want to know my actual b.p sans anxiety. Presently taking clonazepam, but it is not helping in this case. Rgds.

You are taking right medicines - beta blockers for anxiety disorder. Yes you can take an extra dose when needed but try to remain calm through yoga and meditation.

*hair fall, dandruff and tendency for gray hair are dependent on several factors. We have good treatment in homoeopathy without causing adverse effects. These medicines are given internally, promote healthy growth of hair and prevent hair fall. To start with take homoeopathic medicine acid phos 30 twice daily and give feedback after 10 days. For further help, consult privately (prime-rs. 199/) precautions for care of your hair *take nutritious healthy food *have regular vigorous physical exercise so that blood circulation reaches hair follicles and nourishes the hair. *avoid mental stress and smoking and such unhealthy habits. *use warm or cold water for bath and not very hot water.

Hi, you should go for brisk walk in the morning. Do regular exercise atleast 15 minutes daily. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast. Avoid junk food and oily food. Take small and frequent meals. You can consult me privately online on lybrate i" ll give you menu plan for weight.

Hello Lybrate Users,

I am posting on this topic as many of users have been asking on the same issue.

 

Pros

1. It has nice taste.

2. Freshness lasts longer.

3. Has good antibacterial property of neem and turmeric.

4. Its soothing action on the cavities and gums.

5. Minimum side effects.

 

Cons:

1. It cannot be an alternative to dental treatment as it cannot reverse progression of disease of gums or cavities.

2. As it soothens (obtundant) effect of clove oil on regular basis misguides the pain response which would end up in the end stages of the disease finally results increased cost of dental treatment in late stages of the disease or the tooth should be removed if caries or periodontal progression goes beyond to save the tooth.

3. The turmeric might cause tooth discolouration in long run.

 

As far as to my knowledge is concern use it just if you want to give a try but I will never recommend on a daily basis.

Dear, if you tired very fast and feeling weakness. Then you will definitely recover from weakness by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. Very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. You can also do pranayams like anulom vilom for better results. *take a walk, in first walk normally for 10-15 minutes for 15 days. You can do it on treadmill also. * you can take ashvagandha churn of baidyanath 1 teaspoon with milk daily for 2 months atleast to get your strength back. * check out your haemoglobin level in 3 months, if it is low you get tired early. So get treatment of low haemoglobin (anemia). If you have any disease like asthma /diabetes / hypertension, then get complete treatment of them. * avoid all fast foods and habit of smoking or drinking. You surely get great strength and recover from weakness by following these important things.

Swelling indicates you have nephropathy ( kidney damage due to BP ) and need to get proper control of BP and drink lot of water

We forget or are even unable to find enough time for a good rest in the form of sleep. Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help realxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer.
