If all that you say is true then you need not worry, you are not pregnant. Your cycles may have got disturbed due to the hormonal upheavals during your sexual excitement. Relax and calm down. You will get your periods. The more you stress out the more chances of it going topsy turvy.

Citrus fruits contain a significant amount of ascorbic acid, which can remove the top layer of skin without damage. Squeeze the lemon juice onto a cotton ball, dab it on your skin and leave it on for 20 minutes. Repeat once or twice a day for best results. Another alternative would be to make a honey and lemon face mask. Mix the juice of half a lemon with two teaspoons of honey. Apply to the affected area for 30 minutes and then wash well. A final citrus option would be to make a paste of lemon juice with turmeric, which is also a skin-lightening agent. Add one tablespoon of lemon juice to one tablespoon of turmeric, apply to the face for 15 minutes, and wash with warm water.

I have lot of acnes on my face, I never tried any creams. I don't know what else can I do?
hello lybrate user, there are various causes of acne like oily or dry skin due to hormonal imbalance, exposure to dust, pollution,  hereditary, lack of enough sleep, stress, unhealthy food habits etc..; dust clogs the tiny openings of sweat gland or oil gland which ultimately results into acne and blackheads. always wash your face with gentle facewash after exposure to dust, pollution. drink plenty of water, 7-8 glass per day to remove toxins from body and maintain hydration. have healthy diet, add more fruits and green veggies in diet.avoid stress, avoid alcohol, junk food. take homeopathic treatment for acne. It is safe, natural, and holistic way of treatment.homeopathic medicine is selected on the basis of thorough details of patient, like medical history, causes, routine, temperament etc..; such well selected medicine gives complete relief and cure, and improves the skin naturally without any side effects. Message back for online homeopathic consultation and treatment.

BAMS

Now my age is 16 and my height is very low about 5 foot pls advice me to increase my height.
Dear, follow methods by which you can gain your desired height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. You can privately consult me for understanding more exercises. * take 300 ml of rich cream milk, 200 gm of cheese and 2-3 eggs regularly. It will definitely give boost to your bone growth. * the growth and height iscontrolled by growth hormone whichis secreted by pituitary gland situated in the brain. So take meditation and have a stressfree lifestyle. Take 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Meditation makes your pituitatry gland healthy and working properly. 5. Take 1/2 teaspoon of ashwagandha powder with milk once a day.

I am 62 years old man suffering from anxiety and depression with insomnia. Please suggest any remedy.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
I am 62 years old man suffering from anxiety and depression with insomnia. Please suggest any remedy.
I suspect that you are one of many who have been taking medicines but not working with a counselor in tandem. You need both counseling and medical intervention. The combination is ideal for the cure to be complete. In fact counseling will need to go on for a long time to develop skills and techniques to cope with everyday challenges of your life. If you remain episode-free for three years at least, you can be weaned off of the medication. So I assume that for all of these many years you have been letting the medicine do all the work on your depression and very little effort from your side. This will not do at all. So please start counseling immediately. In the meantime please do the following that can be done all by yourself as you desire: You must be active and work towards your reformation. Many lifestyle changes need to be made to progress away for the condition. When you are depressed, you will feel lazy though I would like to call it lethargy. There is an inertia and lack of energy to even think, let alone act. You are required to literally do the opposite of what you feel like doing. Depression makes you want to withdraw, lie down, sleep, become lethargic, slow down, make you too lazy to even think etc. So when I suggested doing the opposite, you will need to fight this disease. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, eat more of proteins and vegetables, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three things, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. If you are young and you can do it with some commitment. The doctor and counselor are there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with them is very critical for your success. For the insomnia please do the following: Yoga, meditation, and stress management exercises with definitely help. You must also do vigorous exercise every day, whether you get sleep or not. You should wake up at a uniform time every day, even if you don’t get sleep. You could sleep in the afternoon but try not to exceed 20 minutes to catch up with lost sleep, and that too only if necessary. Ideally, it is better not to sleep during the day at all. Even if you do not get sleep get to bed at a uniform time like 10.30 and just lie down and read some non-stimulating material. In the lying down position the body tends to regress to a childlike state and will induce sleep. Do not get up to switch off the light, and so you need to arrange for a bed lamp that can be put off at a stretch of a hand. Do not take alcohol, tea, coffee, soft drinks etc. before going to bed. A warm glass of milk before bedtime improves sleep for various reasons. Have dinner early and always make it a pure carbohydrate meal that can be had with any vegetables. Make the room as dark as possible but warm and cozy. Block out all forms of light entering the room through windows. The room must have reasonable cross-ventilation. There must not be any LED lights nearby your bed. Reduce all kinds of sounds around you: light music may be put on if it induces sleep for you with the ‘sleep’ function on. In rare cases you could watch TV in a lying position and switch off when you feel drowsy. There are some odors that could stimulate you and prevent sleep from happening; kindly examine that – this includes perfumes, soap scents, and even laundry detergents. Check out if a warm or cold bath induces sleep for you, and do that before retiring. If you have exhausted yourself through exercise, you will find it easier to relax into a stupor. Contemplate on calm and relaxing thoughts while in bed: decontaminate your mind from all the stresses of the day before going to bed. You could acquire a recording of gradual relaxation and guided relaxation routines. Sleep with your head facing North, and do not sleep directly under an overhead fan. Sleep as far as possible on your left ear. Try these for now and if these fail you must meet with a counselor and work out other matters that may be causing the insomnia.

Ways To Treat Kindler's Syndrome!

Kindler’s Syndrome is a rare skin blistering disease named after Theresa Kindler. It is a kind of skin complication which forms skin blisters and lesions on the mucous membranes. This can happen in any part of your body but mainly concentrates on the area where you have experienced any frictions, bruises or minor trauma, especially on the feet and the hands. In some rare occurrences of Kindler’s Syndrome, it can develop on the internal organs like the food pipe, stomach or the respiratory tract.

This disease generally occurs if you suffer from a disorder called autosomal recessive. It means that you may have inherited an anomalous gene from each parent. It usually happens during childhood and reduces as you age.

Symptoms:
Some of the symptoms of Kindler syndrome are:

  1. Blisters occurring on the body in your infancy and periods of early childhood.
  2. Slowly you will observe altered pigmentation and cutaneous atrophy (A severe dermal condition).
  3. Blistering due to certain skin trauma appearing on the hands and feet.
  4. Some observe abnormalities like dental or ophthalmic
  5. The growth of actinic Keratoses

Treatment:
Kindler’s Syndrome requires a specialized dermatologist for the treatment. In some countries, diagnosis involves skin biopsy. It involves undergoing Immunofluorescence Antigen Mapping or transmission of Electron Microscopy. Blood testing of genes is slowly being developed as a diagnostic test.

Other treatments involve:

  1. A healthy and nutritious diet to heal the disease from within.
  2. Maintaining a good dental hygiene.
  3. Use sunscreen with a high protein formula.
  4. Avoid exposure to the sun as much as possible.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

You can wash the hair with a paste made from neem leaves. This is particularly effective for hair loss caused due excessive build up of scalp oil or invasive skin infections. For restoring the alkaline balance of the scalp and preventing hair fall, you can follow this with washing the hair with apple cider vinegar. Other homemade pastes that can be very useful include a mixture prepared from adding honey and olive oil to some cinnamon (dalchini) powder.
