Dear severe pain in pregnancy is not normal so first go for a obstetric ultrasound to rule out any chances of abortion or ectopic pregnancy (abnormal pregnancy outside uterus) if pregnancy by usg comes normal she can take some uterine relaxents. And ask her to take bed rest mornimg sickness is common and will persist till 3-4 months so ask her to take small, bland and frequent diet. Avoid taking spicy oily food anti emetic medicines (which are safe in preg) are helpful to some extent.

You can check for pregnancy after the date of next due period, i. E. If you do not get our next period in time, check for pregnancy on the date of the expected date of period. There is no approved tablet therapy for causing abortions. The use and sale of such drugs is banned and is illegal. So if your pregnancy test is positive visit a gynecologist who can help you.

Walnuts may promote health by changing gut bacteria”

  • Walnuts in the diet change the makeup of bacteria in the gut, which suggest a new way walnut may contribute to better health. Walnuts have been called a ‘superfood’ because they are rich in omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linoleic acid and fiber and they contain one of the highest concentrations of antioxidants. Now an additional superfood benefit of walnuts may be their beneficial changes to gut microbiota. Walnuts in the diet increases the diversity of bacteria in a gut. Walnuts increases several bacteria like Lactobacillus, typically associated with probiotics suggesting walnuts may act as a prebiotic. Prebiotics are dietary substances that selectively promote the numbers and activity of beneficial bacteria.
  • The researchers conclude that the reshaping of the gut microbe community by adding walnuts to the diet suggests a new physiological mechanism to improve health. Eating walnuts has been associated with reduced cardio vascular disease risk and improve brain health.

4 month phele normal delivery se 1st baby hua hai. But abhi tak period nhi hua hai.
Hello! lybrate-user. Periods after childbirth may be delayed due to multiple reasons the most common of which is breastfeeding. But you might still conceive during this period of amenorrhea. If you are exclusively breastfeeding your baby, the contraceptive benefit of breastfeeding lasts 3 months and if it was combined feeding, it lasts 3 weeks only. So, get a urine pregnancy test done and if negative use some contaceptive method other than combined oral contraceptive pills.

6 Common Ayurveda Remedies For Common Ailments!

MD -(Alternative Therapy), Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

6 Common Ayurveda Remedies For Common Ailments!

Ayurveda has tons of good remedies available for common ailments. From a headache to skin problems, migraine to obesity, acid reflux to diabetes, there is a host of conditions that Ayurveda can treat. While the complexity of a particular condition decides the period it takes for the body to get a full care, Ayurvedic remedies work best when it is applied during the initial stages of a particular ailment.

Here is a list of six common Ayurvedic remedies that can treat common ailments without having to visit a doctor:

  1. Common cold: The common cold may not be a serious threat to a person’s health, but it can seriously hinder the daily schedule. Not to mention, if the condition is not treated early, it can aggravate to serious conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma etc. An Ayurvedic cure for treating common cold includes consumption of ginger in the form of tea, black pepper, and long pepper. They can reduce inflammation of the lungs and get the mucous out of the body.
  2. Diabetes: Diabetes is a serious threat to a person of any age. This is attributed to poor lifestyle, bad diet and lack of exercise. Ayurveda recommends fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet, a healthy lifestyle and quitting caffeine. Apart from this, consumption of herbs such as turmeric can greatly help to keep the blood sugar at the optimum level. Practicing of breathing techniques and yoga can further help to keep diabetes under control.
  3. Acid reflux: Acid reflux has become a common phenomenon these days. Due to unhealthy eating habits and untimely consumption of food, acid reflux can occur to anyone. If proper care is not taken on time, it can aggravate to indigestion and heartburn. Drinking a glass of aloe vera juice regularly can give instant relief from chronic acid reflux. Basil leaves are another great source of Ayurvedic remedy to treat this condition.
  4. Obesity: It is estimated that over 13% of the world population suffers from obesity. Obesity can have serious repercussions if the extra pounds are not shedded on time. Some serious cardiovascular and breathing problems surface from this condition. A good diet and physical exercise help largely to get rid of extra pounds. Ayurveda recommends a juice of honey and lemon in lukewarm water to be consumed daily.
  5. Migraines: Migraines can wreak havoc on the life of an individual. It takes several days for a chronic migraine to go away and get temporary relief. Ayurveda suggests practicing of yoga and pranayama to get relief from this condition. Apart from this, daily consumption of turmeric in the form of supplement, tablets or as a whole can greatly help to stay away from a migraine in the first place.
  6. Dandruff: Dandruff is another common problem that many people face in their daily life. It is a condition where the scales get separated from the scalp and makes the head dry. Ayurveda suggests usage of fenugreek seeds and lime to get rid of this condition. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ayurveda.

Hi sir I want to know only one reason to get syphilis is that sex? Or other reason also?

MBBS
Sexologist, Gurgaon
Hi How Is Syphilis Transmitted? Syphilis is caused by a spirochete (a worm-like spiral-shaped bacteria) called Treponema pallidum. You can get the bacteria in the following ways: direct contact with a syphilis sore (usually found on the vagina, anus, rectum, in the mouth, or on the lips) during vaginal, anal, or oral sex with an infected person an infected mother can pass syphilis to her unborn child, which can result in serious complications or even death of the unborn child The primary and secondary stages of syphilis are extremely contagious. Tell your previous sexual partners if you are diagnosed with syphilis so that they can get tested to see if they have the disease. You can’t catch syphilis from doorknobs, toilet seats, swimming pools, clothing, bathtubs, or silverware. It's spread by infected persons to other persons.

What s the difference between Pleasure And Happiness?

What s the difference between Pleasure And Happiness?

The more pleasure we seek the less happy we get. And we are endlessly being sold means of getting pleasure – because it is addictive.Pleasure means something I want because it feels good at the time, so I want more, until that ‘want’ becomes a ‘need’.

  • Happiness means contentment. You feel good and are satisfied. You don’t want or need to buy anything. Pleasure seeking, reward and desire are all linked to the trio of ‘stimulating’ neurotransmitters - dopamine, noradrenalin and adrenalin – and the more activated the more ‘want’ turns into ‘need’.
  • This is the basis of addiction to caffeine, nicotine, cocaine, stress, gambling, video games, overeating, checking your mobile phone, facebook likes  and sex. Alcohol is the flip side of all this because it promote GABA which switches off adrenalin. This neurological highway has been hijacked to make us buy the latest iphone and check your email, Facebook and Instagram every 2 minutes, think more sugar or coffee or another drink will fill that need. The end result is we become addicted consumers and pleasure seekers and less happy as a result.
  • Happiness is to do with the serotonin pathway which becomes depressed by the dominant over-stimulated dopamine pathway. Depressed serotonin leads to the hallmarks of 21st century living – anxiety, feeling stressed, poor sleep, carb and alcohol cravings.
  • We are sold various forms of caffeine, sugar and alcohol as the answer to happiness. Think of ‘happy hour’. Addictive substances tend to have a variable reward – they don't always work so you want more, and end up just needing the substance to feel normal, not good.
  • These, and many drugs, work by blocking the recycling of the brain’s neurotransmitters. Cocaine is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor. Heroin is an endorphin inhibitor. Sugar, in excess works the same addictive pathways.
  • Think about your addictions – that is things you couldn’t do without or, if deprived, would start saying ‘I need…’. Do they really make you happy and contented or do they stop you feeling bad/tired/stressed? How long before you needWhat’s the difference between Pleasure & Happiness

Think about your addictions – that is things you couldn’t do without or, if deprived, would start saying ‘I need…’. Do they really make you happy and contented or do they stop you feeling bad/tired/stressed? How long before you need more?

How to end addiction is based, first on restoring the brain’s normal ‘reward’ chemistry and promoting healthy serotonin response. A simple example is sunshine. It actually promotes serotonin and happiness.

Many alcohol dependent people have poor dopamine ‘resistance’ meaning their receptors aren’t working properly, which is why they crave alcohol. But this can be transformed with the right nutritional support.

In a simple study a medical center tested 15 various types of addicts checked in to a residential treatment centre for depletion of neurotransmitters such as these then devised an intravenous drip containing all the right amino acids to ‘flood’ the brain with these potent nutrients. The IV nutrient treatment was given for 6 days, followed up with nutritional supplements and good diet (everyone at this treatment centre had the good diet part). The average ‘success’ rate after one year is about 15% of people still clean or sober. Among those who received the personalised nutrition treatment 10 were drug free at the end of a year, 8 of which had had continuous sobriety.
