Hi, there are various reason for toothache like worn down enamel, tooth decay, gum issue. I would advise you to visit dentist who can give you exact cause and solution of your problem after a physical check up. Without checking you clinically we can't suggest you anything. Regards

Hi lybrate-user. Please do not be afraid of that, you consult a nearby dentist get cleaned n polished your teeth, n follow the proper brushing technique using a soft brush, brush twicely, use mouth wash and have warm saline gargle frequently, take plenty of water and do gum massage. And after all you can do a periodontal surgery if needed.

Scaling/Dental Cleanup

Professional scaling is very important to maintain a good oral hygiene. It should be done every six months. It helps in removing plaque, calculus, tartar which keeps depositing on teeth regularly and ultimately damages the teeth making it mobile by receding the gums. It also cause bleeding gums and bad breath. It may lead to several systemic diseases like heart failure, diabetes, liver and kidney distinction etc. So visit your dentist for regular checkup and dental cleaning.

When wisdom or 3rd molar tooth in not erupting in normal occlusal position, it hurts adjuscent 2nd molar and surrounding tissues, causes repeated infection and pain. In this case extraction is the best option.

I have a hypoechoic solid lesion in my right parotid gland. My doctor says to have it surgically remove it and send it for examination to determine if it's benign or malignant. Is it best to do that, or to have a fnap test to determine malignancy first before surgery?

For a Parotid lesion, I usually get an FNAC and an ultrasound done. If its a large swelling, I ask for an MRI, to know the characteristics of the lesion i.e. Benign or cancerous. Sometimes it is difficult to rule out cancer even after FNAC and MRI. Hence surgery is recommended for most cases. Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common tumor of the parotid, which is benign, but malignant transformation to carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma is seen in some cases, hence surgery is recommended in all cases. Warthins tumor is also a benign tumor, where we can observe if very small and Patient is reluctant for surgery. If you have a Parotid lesion, the surgery is usually superficial parotidectomy, preserving the facial nerve. If it is cancer and involving the nerve, then it is sacrificed and a nerve graft is inserted where feasible. If nerve graft is not feasible then facial reanimating surgery can be done at a later date. My advise would be to get an FNAC, if needed an MRI and followed by surgery. Also better to see an expert as if inadequate surgery it leads to recurrence and if not used to doing regularly, facial nerve damage may occur.

We need to get an iopa done to check whether their is no inflammation in the root region. Then we can give you new veneers which will be like your original teeth only. Gaps can be filled with braces. We need to go for ortho treatment as your age is also correct.
