Hypothyroidism is a condition needing treatment for life, so please continue taking the tablets. You will have to check the tsh levels periodically to see if there is a need for change of dosage of thyroxine. As regards the excess hair on the side burns, may not be connected to hypothyroidism, it may be due to excessive testosterone levels too. You may try to remove those hair with some physical measures too. Proper control of hypothyroidism may also be helpful.

You are doing mistake in stress level. Because of stress you are taking excessive food. Due to that your weight may increase. Some persons unable to control stress level they are taking excessive food. It may caused for obesity. No problem. Better to control food. Maintain diet. Take small meals two or three times. Do not take night time food. Take chapathi. Do not sit in home. Go to market or friends home. Better to walk. Do skipping in home. Walking and running helpful. Be happy always. Do not feel about weight. Be friendly with others. If you think about weights it may leads to some other problems. So do not think. Maintain diet and good excercises. Ok best of luck.

About the issue itself: Do you know if this is a family trait, or is the family by anyways less to socialize, or have you had any problem with fear because of some family or childhood experience? Have you ever been embarrassed in public by someone that it has left an indelible mark in your personality? You can take the answers to these questions to a counselor and resolve the same. Any way you must deal with your fear of people and it will be the best solution to your problem. In the meantime do some confidence building exercises by attending a personality development course, public speaking skills course (I suggest you join the Toastmasters Club), work out at a gym to build good self-image, and join social events to practice your skills. Surprisingly many people are often in the same boat as you, and so you are not alone. The very people you are intimidated by may be afraid of you too!!!! There are three important developments to have to make an autonomous personality: Awareness, intimacy and spontaneity. If you are super aware or too conscious of yourself, it will affect the intimacy and spontaneity. Although your problem is now directly to do with intimacy, you can see that they are all connected. Go and work on these matters with a counselor for this level of social anxiety to disappear from your life for good.You can go for personal grooming classes too. While regular vigorous exercise develops your body, the regimen will also enlarge your heart and help you handle stressful situations much more competently than others who don’t exercise. Dress well, eat well, sleep well and conduct yourself well in social circles to build confidence. Perform well in your studies and work, and feel good about your achievements. You could also go for hypnosis sessions to build your self-image from within. Now, remember that all your problems are in your mind: spiritual wellness, faith and prayer will boost your confidence really well. Emotional wellness will take care of the fear factor. There are lots of affirmations, if said three times at a time, everyday, they will gradually strengthen your concept of yourself. Yoga and meditation will also build you up. Speaking to a counselor will give you personal assistance in pursuing these goals. The ultimate test of a personality is in the social context. The greater test is when we meet with the opposite sex. And the final test is when we have to bed and board with a member of the opposite sex in marriage. If you wait for that time to resolve it, it might be too late and traumatizing. Even if you are afraid of people, face your fear and see what happens. They are certainly not going to kill you. So what is the worst that can happen? Really nothing, but it will feel great to have friends and lots of companions in life. We are after all social animals, gregarious by nature and need each other. So don’t handicap yourself on this front. Attend a personality development class, personal grooming class, public speaking class, and conversation classes. It will help to do a lot of this with a close friend, if you have one. If not, find one. We are into relationships all the time. It is near impossible to live without people. All research has shown that living with someone gives us good health and long life too.

I am suffering from anxiety. I think so. Kind of social anxiety. Whenever am going to a new place for interview or to meet a peraon on a blind date. I started feeling dizzyness light headed and also pukes sometime. After puking I feel normal. What is it?

To a certain extent all of us feel like that but we do not react so severely. Perhaps you have an inferiority complex or are afraid of new situations and people. Blind dates can be exciting or frightful, anyway. If the fear is too much for you, then you may react with dizziness and vomiting? like it is unbearable. Together with stress your imagination will tend to go wild with possibilities. Talk to a counselor and deal with this extreme fear, you will no longer have these reactions. It is very useful to also have a fit body by regular exercise; and to be emotionally fit so that you can develop resilience to combat most situations with much composure. Your understanding of people in authority may stem from a strict parent at home to cause much anxiety. Relating to the opposite sex will get better over time with every outing. Many girls are as anxious as you would be and it helps to feel at ease yourself before making them comfortable. You will be a hit with females, if you display composure. Well, men are supposed to be the stabilizing and steadying force especially in crisis: so practice, learn the routines and become adept at it. Not too far into the future you will be walking with the girl of your dreams making her feel secure and safe because of you!

I got married 2 months ago, but not been able to have intercourse with my wife as her vagina seems to be very tight and she claims it to be very painful. Tried many tines even with lubricant, but to no gain.

Hi lybrate-user. Some women have spotting during ovulation, it's normal. You can start primilut right away and continue 1 tablet daily till your trip. You will get periods if you take just one and stop.

Please do treadmill for at least 60 minutes daily. Keep moving as much as you can whenever you can. Keep meal portions small especially if they’re cooked. Limit your food intake which SHOULD be and ONLY be 4 times a day. Avoid sedentary life/night watching/junk foods. Please follow the above for next 4 weeks and revert for further treatment.

Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. All About Churg-Strauss Disease

The Churg-Strauss disease is a rare medical condition, which causes abnormal and painful swelling of the blood vessels thereby, obstructing normal blood flow to the different body organs and tissues. The Churg-Strauss disease generally attacks the blood vessels of the intestine, nose, heart, lungs and the sinuses. In rare cases, this abnormal swelling can damage the kidney and the body joints. If not diagnosed timely, Churg-Strauss disease might lead to further complications such as heart disease, nerve damage, and kidney damage.

Causes:

  1. As of now, the accurate causes of the syndrome have not been detected; although doctors suspect that hereditary factors and a long-term exposure to allergens might be responsible for the syndrome.
  2. Also, the syndrome can be caused as a result of side effects of prescribed medications for asthma and allergies. However, many people who have been diagnosed with allergies do not show the symptoms of Churg-Strauss syndrome.
  3. The chances of suffering from this condition increase if you suffer from episodes of chronic asthma, sinusitis (inflammation of the nasal passage cavities) or any other form of allergy in the nose. This syndrome has been generally observed in people within the age group of 30-50 years.

Symptoms
The symptoms of Churg-Strauss syndrome vary among people depending on the affected organ. However, the possible symptoms of the disease are but not limited to:

  1. There might be a significant pain in the joints and abdomen along with fever, asthma, sinusitis, and a loss in body weight.
  2. Development of scars on the body along with the presence of blood in faecal matters coupled with a tingling sensation in the limbs along with a feeling of numbness if the syndrome happens to attack the nerves.

Treatment: Churg-Strauss disease is an incurable medical condition, but a prescribed dosage of corticosteroids or chemotherapy medications can regulate the symptoms.

Apply maha bhringraj oil on your scalp and massage then give hot water fomentation. 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day. Take lots of proteins like soyabean. Egg white. Etc. Avoid tea. Coffee. Spicy food. Fermented food. Junk food. Apply only ayurvedic shampoo on your scalp. Do pranayama early morning.

Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Hello, Eat a minimum of 3-4 cups of fresh vegetables daily. Cut out sugar from your diet completely. This means saying good bye to soft drinks, chocolates, ice-creams, jams, sauces and sugar-laden pastries. Eat whole-wheat bread instead of white read. Cutting out white bread means cutting out everything made from white flour. Be it pizza, pasta, pastries or naan. Make whole wheat bread, chapattis and brown rice a way of life. Snack on whole wheat crackers or bran biscuits instead of biscuits made from refined flour. Eat at least three meals a day. Do not skip a meal. Switch to soya milk instead of whole milk. Drink plenty of water as it eliminates the toxins and keep the system clear. If you are a non-vegetarian, eat a lot of fish. Limit your fat intake to 2-3 teaspoon a day. Eat 2-3 fruits a day.

I can imagine, how difficult it must have been for you to continue life without that person. Have you expressed your sadness, grief? please talk to someone about how you feel after losing this person. Talk about your pain of losing that person. Otherwise your suppressed sadness and pain will develop into more negative thoughts and feelings. You will find it difficult to take rational decisions and you will experience additional stress. The more you talk about the lost person and the more you talk about your pain, more is the cognitive acceptance which will help you to move ahead in life" grieving" is a process, not something to'get over' with. And as part of this process, you need to experience the pain. If you don't express your feelings, the grieving process is retarded and the feelings are internalised which manifest themselves in somatic pains like headaches, body aches etc without a good reason. I understand your pain but loss is an integral part of life. It is not something that happens to us as we live, it is life itself. Understand that life will never be the same again for you but there is life ahead, for you. And this life can be good, with purpose and meaningful. Nothing of what is lost is replaced. A meaningful part of an identity and time is never replaced. Give yourself enough time to feel and experience the pain. But then you need to move on. Resolution does not mean forgetting. You will cherish that person's memories for the rest of your life. But you need to learn to" let go" of that relation you had with the person and move on. It is not very easy. But this if life. Take care.
