This is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days do deep breathing exercises in open air. Just do not worry!

Hello Mr. Lybrate-user back endurance or strenght is too low nland your your wgt hi high if pain is too much than I advice to visit physiotherapy clinic and if nottoo much than put hot pack and gel to reduce pain than start doing back strngthing exercises and than start some cario activity to reduce your wi8.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Recently 3 weeks ago my pressure sought to 190/160. During that period my left hand and leg has totally got numb. I see fewer strength in it. My pressure is now normal after having losar 50 twice daily along with Natrilix SR once a day. However the numbness in hand and leg remains and I fell a strange burnt out sensation in my palm and toes. Please advice.

u are hypertensive. when the pressures are very high there are chances of either a bleeding of a blood vessel or a clot in the brain that can cause that kind of numbness and weakness that happened at that time. that should have been taken seriouslt and a immediate ct scan of d brai should have been done. if it is not done u should get it done at the earliest. medication have to b started accordingly

It might be of degenerative changes in the joints for pain she can have ift and laser therapy for 14 days followed by joint mobilization exercises from the therapist as long as bp concerned check it regularly and have medicines prescribed by your physician

go for Ayurveda's Panchkarma Therapy - We have many option for u - Greeva Basti (Specialized procedure for Neck pains), Localised Massgae with Herbal oils, Localised Medicated Steam, Pottali Massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax ur neck muscles and give strength to ur nerves and muscles of neck. also start some Yogic exercises - Tadasana, Dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. avoid using big pillow. do not read or use gadets while lying on bed. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation.

Hi Thanks for your query and welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from Fortis hospital, New Delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. Since i am an Orthopaedic surgeon, i will not be able to advise you much on the Yoga and its associated benefits. But if you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - To maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - If pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - Physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - Adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - Ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - Analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - Avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. To reduce ldl level in body: * avoid butter, ghee & cream in your diet. * eat five leaves of kari patta and five leaves of neem once in a day. * avoid non veg food because it contain high fat content. * do not eat fast food and avoid cold drink. * do running and jogging daily for 15 minutes. Start with 5 minutes then increase time period slowly. Do morning and evening walk daily. * do not drink alcohol it harmful to your liver and disturb your metabolism causes increase in cholesterol. * add kali mirch (black pepper) in your breakfast. * drink 6 to 7 glass of water daily. * take sound sleep in night of 6 to 7 hrs. Do not take stress.

Since last 15 days, I have been taking Vitamin C and Vitamin D tablets and getting good relief. Is it feasible to continue taking these tabs? If so, for how many months/years?

You may be having deficiency of vitamin D. Normal level of vit D is between between 20-50 ng/ml. A level less than 20 ng/ml indicates Vitamin D deficiency. 1. Expose yourself to sunlight for 15-20 minutes daily in the morning 2. Take Milk, cheese, egg yolk, Fish (salmon/mackerel/ trout/sardines/tuna) cod liver oil, Mushroom, cereals, orange juice. 3. If you have deficiency of Vitamin D you have to take Vitamin D supplement 60000IU/week fo r 3 months after consulting physician.

Hello, there are many causes behind backache *any strain or sprain in the muscles or ligaments of the back during lifting of heavy objects is the main cause of the lower back pain. *sitting in the wrong posture for a very long time is another cause. *people suffering from constipation may also suffer from lower back pain. *sometimes sleeping on wrong type of beds can also cause pain in the back. Follow the tips *take rest or move about once in 1-2 hours in case of working in a constant position. *maintain a good posture while reading or working with computers. *take a high fibre content diet like vegetables, fruits, etc.
