I have some skin problem. My face is getting so dark & also some pimples had.

BHMS
Homeopath,
I have some skin problem. My face is getting so dark & also some pimples had.
You can take homoeopathic medicines ? Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day ? for 20 days. Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Use home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater ? apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity.

Dark colours (such as navy, black and dark red) absorb uv rays, and prevent them from reaching the skin better than white and light colours. However, closeness of the weave is still more important than colour of the fabric. Clothing that is loose rather than stretched across the skin is better.

Dear, These are the causes of pimples: • excessive sebum production (sebum is oily secretion from the gland). • Due to hormonal imbalance. These are the methods & instructions to avoid pimples: • To control the sebum secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as jogging and long breathing pranayams daily for 10 minutes. • Drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. * Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin. * Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day.

Skin Graft - Types + Procedure

MBBS, MS Surgery
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Delhi
Skin Graft - Types + Procedure

Skin graft is a form of a surgical procedure, which involves removal of the skin of a particular region of the body and transplanting it to a different body portion or to a separate individual. Grafting is usually recommended by the doctor if the patient has suffered from extreme burns or the protective layering of the skin of that particular region has been damaged because of extreme illness, bed sores sustained infection on the skin or repeated injuries. Grafting is also recommended as a procedure for nose and breast reconstruction surgeries. It is usually done with the help of local anaesthesia, making the procedure a less painful one.

There are two types of skin grafting procedures:
1. Split-level thickness grafts: The grafting in this procedure deals with the elimination of the epidermis and just a part of the dermis from the site of the healthy skin. These grafts are used to cover generally a large portion of the body. This form of grafting does not develop significantly with the other portions of the skin, so doctors recommend more split-level thickness grafts as the person ages. The grafts happen to be delicate, glossy and faded in comparison to the rest of the skin.

2. Full-thickness grafts: In this procedure, the grafting involves the subsequent removal of the blood vessels and the muscles along with the two skin layers from the donor site. This form of grafting is particularly useful in reconstructing small damages on the exposed portions of the body such as the face. This type adjusts well with the other portions of the skin and subsequently tends to merge with the rest of the skin.

Procedure
The procedure will begin with the implementation of intravenous therapy (IV) on your wrist or hand on the day of the surgery. This therapy helps the doctor to provide you with necessary medicines and fluids at any point of the surgery. Just a few minutes before the operation, the doctor will inject general anaesthesia through IV. After removal of the skin, preferably from the unexposed portions of the body, such as thigh and buttocks in the case of a split-level thickness graft and the abdomen and the chest in case of a full-thickness graft, the healthy skin is transplanted at the damaged spot and is fixed by subsequent stitching and dressing. The donor site will also be covered by appropriate dressing to prevent any further infection. After the completion of the surgery, it is recommended to take a few days’ rest before getting on with your daily life routine.

General Physician,
I am 23 years old male, suffering from psoriasis from last 15 year, tried many remedies but this problem comes back. ...
It is a chronic ( long lasting condition) and will take time to reduce if not gully healing Topical treatments are rubbed directly into the affected skin to bring local relief without the system-wide side effects of medicines taken by mouth. Topical treatments for psoriasis include: Salicylic acid . Some doctors recommend salicylic acid ointment, which smoothes the skin by promoting the shedding of psoriatic scales. Using salicylic acid over large areas of skin, however, may cause the body to absorb too much of the medication, leading to side effects. Salicylic acid may also cause skin irritation and weaken hair shafts, which can cause breakage and temporary hair loss. The effectiveness of these preparations are modest at best. Steroid-based creams. The mainstay of psoriasis treatment, steroid creams decrease inflammation, relieve itching, and block the production of cells that are overproduced in psoriasis. Stronger preparations, which are more effective than milder ones, can cause side effects that include burning, dryness, irritation, and thinning of the skin. Be especially careful to follow your doctor's instructions on their use. Calcipotriene -containing topical ointment. Calcipotriene, which is related to vitamin D, has proven to be effective for treating psoriasis, especially when combined with a topical corticosteroid cream. It's best to use only limited amounts to avoid side effects. Coal-tar ointments and shampoos. These products can help slow the rapid growth of skin cells and alleviate symptoms, but some people are vulnerable to the side effects, especially folliculitis, a pimple-like rash affecting the hair follicles. These medicines should be used only under a doctor's supervision. Prescription retinoids. These topical preparations containing a synthetic form of vitamin A can help improve psoriasis. These preparations don't work as quickly as steroids. Topical retinoids can sometimes cause dryness and irritation of the skin.

I would suggest you to two things: Make a paste of neem leaves with some water and apply that on the face. You can make the paste one time and store that in the refrigerator in an air tight jar or container. Use that daily on the face. This will eliminate the excessive oils and also keep the pimples way. If more pimples/acne/blackheads are there, better use Bleminor Ointment of Himalaya Company. Take care of few things: Avoid spicy, oily and sour foods. Avoid irritant cosmetics.

What are causes of dimples?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath,
A dimple is any sort of indentation, but most people use the term to refer specifically to indentations in the skin, particularly on the cheeks. Dimpled cheeks are considered attractive, and they are a common genetic trait. Most are actually caused by a birth defect, which just goes to show that not all malformations are actually bad. The most common cause of dimples is a shortened muscle, which explains why they are not always apparent when a person is at rest, since this is when the muscles are typically in their shortened state. In the face, shorter face muscles pull at the skin, especially when someone smiles, creating a classic dimple. Over time, the muscles of the face can slowly stretch out, which is why some people have them when they are young, but lose them as they age. Dimples can also form on other body parts, like the buttocks. Those in other regions are usually not as highly prized as those on the face, perhaps because the face is readily visible, while other body parts are not.
