Express your emotions is not a disease. Why you want to control your emotions. Don't control them just change the way of express. When you feel happy help needy persons. Not only by money by physical help also. This make you feel happy more but keep calm your mind. When you feel angry do activities like making drawing and colouring what make you angry. When you want to cry just cry. It clear your inner soul. Write down your emotions any why they rise daily. Just clear every thing be positive always. Accept what happen always.

Stress- Causes And Solutions!

Stress is an automatic response to psychological threats. It can be in two different ways - the psychological perception of pressure and the body’s response to it. Due to the hormonal changes in the body due to this pressure, the body’s fight or flight response is set in motion. 

Stress can be characterized into acute, episodic and chronic. Acute stress is short term stress which does not last long but may have long term effects if ignored. Episodic stress is short term stress but in situations which can be a daily occurrence, such as stressful situations in the workplace. Chronic stress refers to long term stress which has lasted over a long period of time. There are many different causes of stress such as work, relationships, personal appearance, societal norms, bereavement, health worries, major life changes etc. The cause of stress and the degree to which we experience them differs from person to person, with each of us having different levels of tolerance.

Some of the symptoms of stress include increased heart rate, sweating, anxiety, low energy, headaches, insomnia, frequent colds or infections etc. Here are a few ways you can manage stress:

1. Practice deep breathing exercises:

One main symptom of stress is staggered breathing. When we experience stressful situations, we tend to breathe faster and more rapidly. Practicing deep breathing helps you normalize your breathing and bring your heart rate back down to normal.

2. Try progressive muscle relaxation:

This concept requires you to consciously identify all the muscles in your body which are tensing and relax them. In order to do this you will have to first consciously tense the muscles in your body and know what that feels like, then relax them and learn what that feels like.

3. Use guided imagery:

Sit in a quiet place, close your eyes, and try to visualize your ‘happy place.’ This is the place you feel at peace. Imagine the sights, sounds, smells and feel of that place. The next time you feel yourself start to feel stressed try this technique.

4. Make time for hobbies:

We all have so much work to complete in the day or week that we forget to give ourselves some time off. It is important that you take some time off to do things which you enjoy. For example, you may like reading or painting or fishing. Alot a time in the week for you to do these activities. This will help you destress and help put you in a more relaxed state.

5. Be aware of your stressors:

It is important that we identify the things which cause us stress. Once we are aware of our stressors we can consciously make an effort to relax before going into the task. Make a plan before going to tackle the task which is causing the stress.

One of my want to quit his habit of eating tobacco, but he is not able 2 do that, He has been eating this 4 around 4-5 years. What should he do, to quit it.

Only by using strong will power and avoiding all situations where you feel like smoking, chewing tobacco or drinking or using drugs avoiding friends who smoke and diverting mind by reading or chewing a gum, like NICORETTE and taking a walk when you crave for a smoke can all help. You can chew Nicorette gum which is nicotine replacement. There are medicines available. Which can be prescribed if asked personally Cigarette smoking is a leading preventable cause of mortality. It kills more than 60 lakh people worldwide every year. More than 50% of regular smokers would invariably die from tobacco-related illnesses which includes heart attack, cancer or asthmatic lung diseases. Best age to stop smoking is before 40 31st May is “World No Tobacco Day” Quitting smoking before the age of 40 is associated with larger decline in premature death than stopping it at a later date. Best age therefore to stop smoking is before 40. However, stopping smoking even after the age of 50 is still associated with lower risk of death as compared to those who continue to smoke. Even in smokers aged 80 years or more, quitting smoking appears to reduce some mortality.

Hi = relax and stay positive. = increase fluid intake. = eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = do stretching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = if you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = do check your calcium and vit. D = apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still you dont get relief see a physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation. Best wishes.

Does smoking occasionally really kills? I smoke 3 cigarettes a week, but I started it after 1 year, will smoking at such a rate for 3 months may cause some serious problems? In these 3 months my exams are there. While during holidays I don't feel like to smoke!

It will slowly become habit... 3 to 30... And that kills..... Cigarette does not help in exam... It is just our imagination...that it reduces stress.. it just gives relief for 5 minutes... And then the stress comes back with double power.

One is generally getting anxious on small pity situations. If you are getting anxious or a small situations or normal situations, if you're anxious and not being able to manage your day-to-day life situations, if you are anxious and having headaches, insomnia and not being able to manage your situations, then surely you are suffering from anxiety disorders.

These are the signs and symptoms of anxiety disorders-

The common symptoms are fear and insomnia. So let us understand what are the emotional symptoms and physical symptoms that generally an anxious person feel. The emotional symptoms generally there is a problem with concentration. Secondly, people are generally overly tensed. Thirdly feeling restlessness and irritability is another sign when you are anxious. Fourthly feeling mentally blank at times, that a person is mentally blank on many situations. Fifthly always anticipating the worst to happen in any situation.

Now, what are the physical symptoms that one encounter during the anxious state of mind. Number one that is a pounding heart. The heartbeat increases. Number two is excessive sweating. There's lot of sweating is on one's body. The third is there is a breathing problem. The fourth is there is a disease stomach or an upset stomach. The fifth is there is a severe headache and fatigue. There is a disease are this emotional and physical symptoms in an individual now how to rectify with symptoms number one is one should start with some mindfulness activities like meditation or yoga one should not stop moving alone in situations one should move in a social gathering so that this anxiety is lower down thirdly one should stop having caffeine or coffee after the lunch time so that anxiety is lower down because it caffeine the anxiety triggers up so these are the things which need to be followed when an individual is an anxious state of mind.

You are suffering from Premature Ejaculation that is very harmful at this very young age. Proper erection and sex timing is too important to  have a satisfactory intercourse for both you and your partner. Health is not growing up it is psychological feeling. We take food every day. Physiological development grows with out our permission. If you want very go food body. You need to take additional nutrition food. Sympathy about our self is a dangerous thing. Do not feel nervous it may cause your anger. Continuous anger it may cause depression. So do not feel nervous feel always confident. Think always in a positive manner. Develop in your inner strengths that show in your regular work. Prepare well in your studies, develop very good friendly relations with others. Best of luck.

Dear Lybrate-user, it is good that you wants to stop smoking, we are destroying our health by smoking normal human takes oxygen into lungs 12 -15 times per minute (12 - 15 breaths) Lungs mixes oxygen in our blood and it purifies our blood, by smoking we are mixing not only oxygen adding and mixing bad elements like Nicotine etc. In Oxygen, that spoils our blood and our body organs like Lungs, Heart, kidney etc… How to quit: By willingness and willpower" where there is a will there is a way" Reduce one by one day by day.
