Hello weight gain if not achieved despite of consuming high energy rich n healthy food then your friend might need a clinical as well as a biological assessment to know the root cause. Pls mention his current weight, height n previous year too. N also any kind of weight loss recently observed.. If all reports r fine n no medical condition is diagnosed. Then a weight management plan shall be provided for the same. Consult privately for detailed diagnosis..

Dear lybrateuser, - your bodyweight & build will depend on the type of diet you take & the exercises you do - take more of protein rich foods such as eggs, non -veg, fish, chicken, milk, dahi, paneer, soya products, beans, pulses, include at least one of these in each meal, also snack on nuts, milk shake in between meals - also include food & veg in your diet -avoid junk foods - do regular exercises, alternate them, do aerobic like jogging, cycling, swimming, rope skipping for 20-30 min one day, next day do weight lifting as this will help you in building muscles& bulking up -have sufficient water & other fluids - sleep at least 7-8 hrs at night.

Diet and workouts go a long way in helping you gain strength to gain weight, you must eat more calories than you burn. When you gain weight, some will be fat and some will be muscle. To gain muscle, you must eat protein. To boost the ratio of muscle to fat gain, you must exercise. To gain muscle and strength, you must engage in resistance exercise. To improve body fat percentage and gain weight, you must cycle through phases of gaining muscle and losing fat. I can also suggest home remedies.

In my view your weight is not that less, only take good diet, dry fruits, some light exercise, avoid canned food, junk food etc. Be worry free there is no need of any medicine.

I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2. Take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3. Triphala kadha 4 tsp before lunch and dinner 4. Amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating.

So give me diet plan.
Just be patient relax and regular thats the mantra for good gyming. You do not need much of the extra diet. First concentrate on loosing excess weight, use diet restrictions for harmful food, regualr gymming with normal doet will give you shape and muscle bulk then you can think of making additions to your diet for more, but that will take time. Do not take any medicines or medicated supplements to grow muscles in hurry that is an advice.

hello doctor. Some one in my circle is very much addicted toward alcohol. He is about 30 years old, he consumed alcohol in large amount. And and perform unacceptable activities. After drunk he can't able to take a step. He also abuse family member. please suggest what step taken to get rid off. Is it right to admit him in any hospital like (nisha mukti kendra).

Dear lybrate user, before taking him to any rehabilitation centre kindly try the following therapy at home:- mix 30 drops of homoeopathic mother tincture acid sulph q in a bottle of 2litres of water. Keep that medicine mixed bottle isolated. Whenever the patient asks for water to drink give him that medicine mixed water to drink. Hi Jaya, some people gain max 7 kgs in pregnency , if the baby weight gain n growth is good then u don't have to worry. U need to inc protein intake , Take protein powder with milk twice daily, sprouts, soya, rajma, n other dals r rich in protein , paneer is also good. Inc the quantity of ur food intake , cont treptin biscuits.

1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. Begin with body weight exercises like push up, pull up and squats. Weight training proves to be really helpful if you want to gain good quality weight. Train each body part twice a week. For example: Monday/Thursday: Chest + Triceps Tuesday/Friday: Back + Biceps Wednesday/Saturday: Legs + Shoulders Don't forget to warm up for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Warm up includes jumping, rope skipping, treadmill, cycling, stair climbing, etc. 2. Eat Healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 2 - 3 hours. Some of the recommended food items are boiled chicken and eggs, brown rice, brown bread, peanut butter, olive oil (extra virgin), green tea, dry fruits etc. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats are best sources of healthy carbohydrates but do not include these items in your dinner. 5. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Boiled chicken and eggs are the best sources of fat free protein. Sprouts are also rich in protein. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.

It is ok if you are under weight.But definitely you should try and gain weight by eating healthy foods. Eat more of healthy fats, carbohydrates and protein. Dear lybrateuser, -you have to eat proper meals to keep physically & mentally fit -do regular exercises like walking, cycling, swimming regularly to increase your appetite -have whatever you like for meals, have meals regularly, do not skip a meal, also have a snack like fruit, sandwich, salad in between if you feel hungary -have 8-10 glasses of water for proper digestion -avoid fried, processed & junk food.

Unani System of Medicine has great potential in liver disorders. A number of Unani formulations are used as Hepato protective and used in cases of liver damage. I want to know whether your father is diabetic or not in case he is diabetic then I have to take care while prescribing medicines containing sugar.
