It depends on the stage of infection, treatment of chronic hcv infection has 2 goals. The first is to achieve sustained eradication of hcv (ie, svr), which is defined as the persistent absence of hcv rna in serum 6 months or more after completing antiviral treatment. The second goal is to prevent progression to cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma (hcc), and decompensated liver disease requiring liver transplantation.

Hi, My mother is a diabetic and hypertensive patient. She is taking medication but feeling some problems like hunger, weakness and lack of energy . Doctor told to walk but she has lethargy to walk. What is the way out? Also facing gastric problems. Latest Blood Sugar report is FPG : 127, PPG :121. BP : 160/80.

Mr. Lybrate-user, blood glucose levels mentioned look well within control. What is the hba1c%? it should be <7. If one maintains these levels then energy level of the patient is usually good. Bp should ideally be 140 / 80. May be needs to improve the treatment. Walking helps better utilisation of blood glucose also makes person feel fresh and energetic. She should walk at least 15 to 20 minutes with in the house premises or around it. Walk 2 to 3 times a day, so that a minimum of 45 minutes of walking is done by the end of the day. If possible she should also learn pranayam and practice it daily. It helps improve energy level and also helps in relaxation. Thanks.

For weight gain Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong , chana , Dal , rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don’t apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit

Taking red wine once a week or so does not gain weight. At 19 yrs, you should have a balanced diet with sufficient carbs, protein and fat in your daily diet to gain weight. Eat after every 3 hours. Jaise ki aap jante hain motapa ek bahut hi badi problem hai puri duniya mein aur hindustan mein bhi, khaas taur pe metro cities main ya choti cities may bhi motapa bahut teji se badd rahien hain aur aksar motape ko log bimari ke taur par pehchante nahi hain, they don't recognised obesity as a disease. Now, it is very common saying that obesity is mother of possibly all important disease of our life yadi aapka wajan and jyada hai, aapko motapa hai, toh aapko jeevan ki qarib qarib sabhi kisam ki bimarion ka risk bad jata hai aur ialiye bahut zaroori hai ki apna wazan thik rakhe aur agar aap ka wazan jyada hai toh uska proper tarike se ilaj karien aur vajan kam karien. Aksar log jinka wajan jyada hota hai wo ye sochte hain ki agar mai sair karunga aur khana kam kar dunga toh khali mera usse wajan kam ho jayega ya yeh sochte hain ki mera wajan jo bada hai woh meri galti ki wajah se bada hai. Lekin aksar aisa nahi hota kyunki wajan badhane ki tendency aapki partially aapki jeans ki wajah se bhi hoti hai, aur motapa khali ek aapke khane peene ki adat ya physical activity kam karne ki wajah se nahi hai, ye ki ek kisam ki bimari hai jo baki bahut sari bimariyan hai jaise, diabetes, heart disease, blood pressure, saans ki dikkat, joint ki problems bahut sari problems ko ye badati hai, bahut sari problems ka risk badati hai. To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

Hi If you want to gain weight you need to eat 3 balanced meals. Also be physically active as that helps with appetite and muscle gain Sample plan Breakfast Omelette, banana, cashew Lunch Roti Dal Vegetables Curd Snack Banana and peanut butter milk shake Dinner Brown bread toast with butter Mutton soup/ mushroom soup Banana.
