Hi make a paste of neem leaves and apply on the targeted pimples. If you cannot get fresh neem leaves, try to get some dried bottled neem leaves, steep for 10 minutes in warm water and use as a paste...apply pranacharya face glow on your face for 15 minutes then wash it with warm water..

Can Fillers Be Used For Ageing Hands?

MBBS, DNB (Dermatology)
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Can Fillers Be Used For Ageing Hands?

It is said that a hand reflects the personality of an individual. A well-maintained manicured hands with skin and nail care talks a lot about a person. Aside from the head and neck, it is also the most exposed part of the body. Whether we like it or not, aging is inevitable and does not spare any part of the body. The hands also lose volume, sag, wrinkle, and tan. The veins become prominent, knuckles jut out, and bones and tendons become stand out. While most people take care of the aging effects on the face, the hands are often ignored. There are even cases where there is a mismatch in the appearance of the hands and the face, causing cosmetic and psychological concerns.

The loss of skin volume can be replaced by restoring the soft tissue, which is achievable by injecting fillers into the hands. These improve skin elasticity, improve volume, and reduce wrinkles. The prominence of the bones and knuckles are therefore reduced, producing a less-aged appearance.

  1. Calcium Hydroxyapatite: This inert, biocompatible, inorganic component prompts collagen production. It has high viscosity and high elasticity and acts as a wonderful filler. It is usually injected alone or after mixing with lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) into different areas of the hand. It blends nicely with the skin and conceals tendons and bones. It requires repetitive procedures and takes about 6 to 18 months for the full effect to be seen. There are minimal side effects including bruising, oedema, and tenderness.

  2. Hyaluronic Acid: The skin contains hyaluronic acid naturally, and with ageing, the amount of it reduces. This provides a matrix for dermal tissue, giving it the elasticity and thickness, which is lost with age. Therefore injecting hyaluronic acid helps improve elasticity and thickness. It increases collagen formation in the underlying layers of the skin and acts as a filler. Recent advances have used injections of cross-linked HA which is more resistant to degradation, thereby producing longer lasting results.

  3. Autologous Fat Injections: Fat from another body area usually the thighs or the upper arms is either freshly harvested or harvested and frozen and thawed. This is then injected into the hands to act as fillers. This requires repetitive procedures, as the results are not sustained. There could also be uneven surfaces with lumps in the hands where fat has been injected. There are also chances of infection and oedema in this procedure.

As noted, there are ways to avoid the ageing effects on the hands. A word of caution, though, whatever the approach you choose, ensure you place yourself in the hands of an experienced, qualified surgeon to take care of your ageing hands!!

I have a lots of lipoma in my body since last 2years. How to stop lipoma growing up in my body? How to control lipoma. What should I do?

I have a lots of lipoma in my body since last 2years. How to stop lipoma growing up in my body? How to control lipoma...
A lipoma is a growth of fat cells in a thin, fibrous capsule usually found just below the skin. Lipomas aren't cancer and don't turn into cancer. They are found most often on the torso, neck, upper thighs, upper arms, and armpits, but they can occur almost anywhere in the body. One or more lipomas may be present at the same time. Lipomas are the most common noncancerous soft tissue growth. The cause of lipomas is not completely understood, but the tendency to develop them is inherited. A minor injury may trigger the growth. Being overweight does not cause lipomas. Lipomas usually are small [0.4 in. (1 cm) to 1.2 in. (3 cm)] and felt just under the skin. Are movable and have a soft, rubbery consistency. Do not cause pain. Remain the same size over years or grow very slowly. Often the most bothersome symptom is the location or increased size that makes the lipoma noticeable by others. Being a homoeopath i will suggest you to go for homoeoapthic treatment if these are increasing on regular basis or are painful. In allopathic system there is only surgical removal but the question is how many surgeries one should undergo as these are multiple in number. So I will recommend you to go for homoeopathic medicine.Consult me with full history of your problem.

Some tips for dry skin - Take 1 tablespoon of milk powder and mix it with one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of lemon juice and half tablespoon of almond oil. Mix all the items well, make it a paste and apply it on your face and neck daily and wash after an hour. It will give you a perfect glowing skin. Turmeric is good ingredient for skin. Make a facepack with mixture of turmeric and milk. Apply this and wash off after an hour with cold water for glowing skin. Lemon juice and glycerin work nicely for dry skin whereas fuller’s earth and turmeric are used for oily skin. Take one tomato, grate it well and mix it with 3-4 drops of lime juice. Apply it on your face wait for 15 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat it daily and feel the change on your face. Soak 4-5 almonds in milk overnight. In the morning make a paste of them and apply it on your face and rinse it off after an hour or two. You will definitely feel the glow on your face in less then 15 days. (you can add honey, oats and yogurt for quicker results) Prepare a fine paste of ripe papaya, oatmeal powder, milk cream and honey. Cover your face with this paste for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water. Apply buttermilk to skin, keep for 10 minutes and then wash off thoroughly for softening, cleansing and radiating effect.

If it's a scar then no medicine can help. Take a surgeons opinion. Not only that take a second opinion (may be cosmetic surgeon) and take an informed decision based on health status and cost of the procedures.

Skin of my penis is dry and itching. Why it is dry? fordyce spot on my lip. Why it is?
Dear user. PENILE ITCHING could be due to many factors. Men who are uncircumcised (who have the foreskin remaining around the penis) are prone to balanitis, an inflammation of the foreskin that is often caused by poor hygiene, irritation, or infections. Penile itch is not an emergency, but it may be a sign of a disease that can be transmitted to others. Please consult a doctor for physical investigation which is essential for diagnosis. Take care.

How to know my skin is of which type? whether it is dry /oily/sensitive/etc.? please help me out?

How to know my skin is of which type? whether it is dry /oily/sensitive/etc.? please help me out?
We can categorize skin according to whether it is oily, dry, normal, or a combination of these conditions. Knowing this will help you determine what types of products to use on your skin to make it healthier------------------ 1. You may have dry skin in some places if it is red, wrinkly, dull, and rough. If you have dry skin, you will probably not be able to see your pores in that area. It may even look scaly or itch------------- 2. You may have oily skin if it looks shiny, has large visible pores, and is prone to breaking out in blackheads and pimples. ---------- 3. Combination skin.-- this is very common. Many people have skin that is oily in some places, like the nose, and dry in others. Areas that are often prone to drying include the backs of the hands, elbows, and limbs. If this is the case, you may need to tailor your skin care routine to the skin in each area----------------- 4. Younger people are more likely to have normal skin. You likely have normal skin if:------------ (a) you rarely get pimples or blackheads.---------- (b) your pores are not enlarged or easily noticeable------------. (c) your skin does not have dry, flaky, itchy, red patches.--------- (d) your skin looks healthy, has an even color, and is elastic.----------------------- take care of your skin regardless of what skin type you have. These tips will help you maintain healthy, vibrant skin. They should work for all skin types and all ages.---------------------------- (a) wash away oils, dead skin, and dirt daily with a gentle cleanser. This will protect your skin from getting clogged pores and forming pimples. It will also remove irritants that you might have come in contact with during the day.------------------------- (b) don't wear your makeup to bed. This increases the likelihood that it will get rubbed into your pores as you sleep, causing them to clog and form pimples.------------- (c) combat wrinkles by using a moisturizer each day that contains sunscreen in it. This will protect your skin from sun damage.---------- (d) don't smoke. Smoking will make your skin look older, more wrinkled and less healthy. If you already smoke, quitting will improve your skin quality.-------------------

Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days.

Take homoeopathic medicine Berberis Aquifolium Q (10 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and revert. along with the medicine, also take the following self-care steps: *clean your skin gently with a mild face wash removing all dirt or make-up. Wash many times a day with plain water. *try not to squeeze, scratch, pick, or rub the pimples, it can lead to scarring and skin infections. *avoid touching your face with your hands or fingers. *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water in a day. *avoid stress and anger. *avoid harsh skin products. *Avoid very oily, spicy and sugary foods. *Include fruits, raw vegetables and fresh vegetable juices in your diet.

I have white some spots on my body. Is it curable? how much time will it take. I am 37 years old.
Hello. White patches/ dots on your skin are a common type of depigmented skin lesion associated with an infection, allergy, or autoimmune disorder. One common cause of white spots, or hypopigmentation, is a fungal infection of the skin known as tinea versicolor (associated with other symptoms, such as itching or dryness on or around the white patches). This fungal infection is not contagious and can be treated easily with over-the-counter medications. The white spots and patches can also be because of deficiency of vitamin D (for which 15-20 minutes of exposure to early morning sunlight without sunscreen is needed, 3-4times a week). Or else they could be idiopathic (i. E, without any cause). Vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder which can be treated with homoeopathic medicines, but chances of relapses are also there. Please tell me other symptoms like about sensation on the area, since how long do you have this patch, any family history of white patch, etc. Meantime, you can start with homoeopathic medicines - Cina 1M/ one dose daily at night and Ars. Sulph. Flavum. 200/ twice daily for 20 days (it is safe). Apply a good brand's sunscreen with SPF 40 on the skin (specially on the white patches/ spots) 20-30 mintues before going out under the sunscreen and reapply it after 3-4 hrs. Again.

These 7 Skin Gods Reverse Your Skin?s Ageing
Anti ageing foods for skin

With change in lifestyle and eating/drinking habits, our health deteriorates and the first signs are seen on your face. Nowadays, skin starts ageing in your 20s and it is sad. The good news is that we can take care of our skin health with some minor adjustments in our lifestyle. One such change is adding few foods to our diet. Best foods for skin health are:
Almonds - these nuts have high quantity of vitamin e which doubles as antioxidant protecting the cells of your skin from uv light.
Green tea - apart from helping detox and lose weight, green tea is also good for your skin. The antioxidants in green tea have anti-cancer properties which have been proven and hence, prevent skin cancer.
Dark chocolates - love chocolate? here is a good reason to eat them (in moderation). Antioxidants in dark chocolates protect against sun damage and make the skin smooth & soft.
Carrots - carrots have vitamin a which helps clear skin breakouts. Eating carrots gives you a natural glow and a healthier complexion.
Tomatoes - tomatoes have phytochemicals which help eliminate skin-aging which is caused by harmful ultraviolet rays.
Walnuts - these nuts provide a good amount of omega-3 fatty acids which are particularly important for vegetarians who are not getting the same from fish. Not having enough of omega-3 fatty acids can cause dry, scaly skin often leading to eczema.
Water - yes, plain water! it hydrates your skin and allows it to breathe. And, it is the best liquid substitute to sugar filled juices and soda.
