Thanks for your query. Antibiotic become necessary only when infection flares up. When you have infection there is no other substitute for an antibiotic. Please provide details about what symptomes you are having at present and I can advise accordingly. Please feel free to ask a private question.

Long term cough needs to be diagnosed well. It could be due to allergies, smoking for long, tuberculosis, etc. Once diagnosed the treatment can be done accordingly. Usually for allergic cough homeopathic medicines work the best.

Trouble in breathing while bending and lying down is not uncommon in heart disease. But such people get excessively breathless with walk, work or lifting weights. With symptoms of'chest hurt' and dizziness better to get heart and lungs examined.

We've no nicotine anonymous meetings at our area. I love smoking cigarettes and despite my ill health and embarrassing coughs all day long, I am helpless. I think switching to e cigarette or herbal cigarettes might do me some good. I am not a bad person by nature but people who see me with cigarette always think otherwise. I love the the idea of letting cigarette and can't imagine my life without smoking and its scary. I am terrified and that's another reason for another smoke. I want to quit on my own but it sounds impossible. I haven't taken alcohol in 5 years 20days despite being alcoholic with the support of a. A. Meetings.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, you may need a bit of will power to stop smoking permanently. You could easily abstain yourself from smoking during the initial 2-3 days. But after few days of abstaining from smoking you will feel a strong craving to smoke a cigarette whenever you face any tense situation. Here lies your real test. You will need a lot of will power to resist that craving & face any tense situation without the help of nicotene. However, you can take homoeopathic mother tincture daphne indica q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. This medicine will help to reduce your craving for nicotene.

Natural method of treatment. 1.Prepare coconut milk by grinding grated coconut and squeezing its milk. Apply coconut milk to your scalp by using hair brush. Cover your head with a towel and leave it for 20 minutes and rinse your hair with cold water. Do it once a week 2. Extract pulp content from the stalk of aloevera plant and rub to your hair which is washed before. Massage the pulp into your scalp in circular motion, leave it for 15 minutes, rinse it with cold water do it thrice a week preferably in the morning after taking head bath. 3. Boil 10-12 dry neem leaves in water, wait for the mixture to cool, rinse your hair with this mixture after shampooing (protect your eyes while rinsing to prevent burning sensation). Repeat the process once in a week. 4. Steep 2 green tea bags in hot water and wait till water cools down. Remove the tea bags and use the solution to rinse the hair and massage the solution over your scalp after shampooing it. Do it twice a week. 5. Slightly warm 1-2 tablespoonful of coconut oil. Gently apply the oil to your scalp and hair root for 30 minutes. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash it off with cold water. 6.Take 2-3 lemon, cut the lemon and prepare lemon juice. Strain the juice into a bowl using muslin cloth and mix it with warm water. Wash your hair, pour the mixture over scalp and massage hair for 5 minutes. Wash it off with cool water. You can repeat the process 1-2 times per week in the morning after taking bath. 7. Boil some curry leaves in your hair oil and apply it on scalp. Massage for 15-20 minutes twice a week 8. Consult Trichologist (hair specialist) for further advice and treatment.

MBBS, cc USG
General Physician, Gurgaon
Hello, if symptoms are sneezing, running nose, blocked nose 1. Take proper rest/ lot of fluids 2. Take proper home made diet. 3. Steam inhalation carefully by steam inhaler twice a day for 2-3 days continuous cold may be because of many reasons like: 1. Any ENT problem like DNS, polyp, sinusitis 2. Low immunity 3. Allergic condition like Allergic Rhinitis so you need to consult ENT doctor for proper examination and further management.
