Lower your cholesterol when you snack and keep your blood sugar stable with this spread

2 cups of leftover beans or lentils
1 stalk of a green onion: finely chopped
2 stalks of celery: finely chopped
Some parsley: finely chopped
1 tbs lemon juice
Sea salt to taste
1/4 cup roasted sesame seeds (or any other seed)

1.) make sure the beans do not have too much water (so if it is a dal, keep some water to blend since we are making a paste.

2.) you can use a fork to mash the ingredients together or put it in a blender to mix it well.

3.) use it on breads or rotis or crackers

I have high homocysteine level >60. Also I have high MCV levels based on the report. Please advice me on how to control. Thanks.

Homocysteine levels are related to deficiency of vitamins B6, B12, folic acid which inturn MCV increase can also occur due to vitamin B12 deficiency which could be one of the reason of increase homocysteine levels however its necessary to rule out cardiac disease risk. To maintain so 1) avoid red meat in diet you can take maximum two servings per week .eat more of green vegetables including green leafy vegetables and salads. 2)quit smoking 3) exercise daily 4) maintain your weight. 5) you can have multivitamins enriched with vitamin B6, B12 and folic acid. Repeat your homocysteine level in three months to acess the levels.

After exercise drinking hot water and lemon is healthy or unhealthy. And daily one hour exercise is enough for reducing cholesterol.

It can be even plain lemon water also. Do whatever is comfortable for you. Exercise is for the whole body and mind and not specifically for the cholesterol. Cholesterol may get reduced in some cases if regular exercise and healthy diet is adhered to. So keep going for an annual health checkup to know about your health status.

Hi am MB, I am 67 years old, recently I had got my comprehensive cardiac check up done which I do regularly with a frequency of once every year. This time during regular treadmill test, my exercise tolerance was found fair. What does that actually mean? And what is tmt positive? Is there any thing needed to be done after tmt test results? What is the relationship between a positive tmt and bad cholesterol? What are the precautions needed to be taken to prevent bad cholesterol build up? What kind of food habits that has to be avoided for good heart condition and subsequently to keep yourself away from cholesterol? Are exercise requirements and regular walking habits play a vital role in maintaining healthy heart state? Request to answer my queries and help me to maintain a sound health. Thank you very much. Exercise tolerance is fair but tmt? positive, may be slightly. Get echo done to know % functioning of heart and a total lipid profile to know about good and bad cholesterol. Our body is like a car that needs good type of engine oil to function properly, bad cholesterol is bad oil, and good cholesterol is good oil, low chilesterol does lead to illnesses like arthritis and cancer. Keep low cholesterol lower than 80 and good cholesterol higher than 80. Eat 5 gms of desi ghee / butter and a katori of nuts of all varieties-soaked and peeled almonds, cashew nuts, wallnuts, peanuts etc. Avoid bad fats like burgers, pizzas, fried road side food and reheated oil at home. Do not go by ads on tv, there is no oil that is zero cholesterol, but still till date sarson ka tel - musturd oil is the best for our style of cooking, use steam to cook, avoid frying even at home. Consume more seasonal fruits and vegetables. If levels of good cholesterol are kept on a higher side, it helps bring down the levels of bad cholesterol. Exercise reduces bad cholesterol and so does drinking a glass of warm water with juice of fresh lemon + a spoon of honey in it. Write down if there are any doubts. Remember pollution is bad for the heart, as bad as smoking, stay near green plants to get fresh oxygen, if risky levels outside home, it is better to stay indoors and use an exercise cycle.

To control & maintain Blood pressure to normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day. Take pranacharya medohar rasayn twice a day. Medohar guggul 2-2 twice a day. And pranacharya slim capsule 1-1 twice a day. .avoid junk food. Oily food. Fermented food. Alcohol consumption. I want know information about heart attacks. What is the symptoms to find out in earlier stages.

Hi. Heart attack in medical terms is myocardial infarction (mi). Which means a permanent damage to heart muscles. Heart muscles need oxygen rich blood to function. This is done by the blood vessels which supply the heart called coronary arteries. When these blood vessels get blocked it results in loss of blood supply to heart muscles. Resulting in heart attack. During an attack. Persons feels giddy, sweats, chest pain is severe which can be felt in that left shoulder, back, jaws etc, vomitting and fluctuating blood pressure (high or low). It can present differently too. But the above are common symptoms. Thank you.

I am a 47 year old male, non-diabetic, non-hypertensive with generally good health. I am on anti-depressant therapy for pd and anxiety for the past 12-14 years. I have this feeling of skipped heart beats now and then since 2009 and have got myself examined by 2-3 cardiologists. All tests like echo, tmt are fine with no abnormalities. Is there any remedy for the same? I have slightly raised cholesterol and triglycerides.

High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. This hypertension could be due to stress, anxiety and sedentary life style etc. Quitting smoking, physical exercises, avoiding stress and be calm and relaxed, restricting salt, eating a lot of vegetables and fruits etc can help maintain your blood pressure at normal level. Hello there, certainly you are a established case of high bp. As your bp is high with medicine. You need active medical treatment. Plan for prevention of complications of high bp in future. 1) find out root causes of high bp. 2) avoid oily, fried, alcohol & high calorie food. 3) avoid excessive eating. 5) reduce 25% quantity of carbohydrate s (chapatti, rice, bhakari, idli) in each meal. 6) maintain your bmi strictly between 23 to 25.7) change your edible oil every month (mustard oil, groundnut oil, kardai, sunflower oil, rice bran oil, coconut oil etc) 8) reduce you belly size & belly fat (visceral fat) 9) have more vegetables & dal in each meal (each 1 bowl)

you may be having some allergic bronchitis duebto some allergen factor. do regular warm saline gargle have homemade freshly prepared lemon juice which is rich in vitamin C thereby increasing your body autoimmune system which prevents infection. go for morning walk followed by free hand exercises. you will be alright.
