you have to get your thyroid checked to see that your TSH levels are within normal limits and then check your weight as if you are over weight then also your periods tend to get delayed. since you and PCOD in the past so taking high protein , low carb diet is beneficial.

I am 19 year old and 45 in kgs. My breast are still growing and they have grown up enough big this year. How long will they grow? Although, My weight is okay, I just want to loose fat from my breast. How can I get small breast again at home? I really want my breast to get small again as they are enough big and noticeable.

If breasts are getting bigger, get them examined once by a breast surgeon, especially to rule out giant Fibroadenoma which are bilateral. They may ask for an ultrasound for the same. The growth of the breasts occurs during puberty and continues upto 16-19 years. Later it increases during pregnancy due to hormonal effects. It’s the Breast tissue which determines the size of the breast more than the fat. Hence loosing weight may only marginally reduce the breast size. The option of reduction mammoplasty, which reduces size or both breasts is the option used by females world wide. Before thinking about surgery, you need proper councelling as once removed, we cannot increase the breast tissue and it will produce a scar on breast.

Syphilis - How to Diagnose And Treat It?

Syphilis - How to Diagnose And Treat It?

Syphilis is a STD caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum. It has several stages, like primary, secondary, latent and tertiary and is common in homosexual men. It should be remembered that Syphilis is curable. It can be treated, if diagnosed in early stage. It can be cured, if medical help is sought for. Sharing toilets, clothes, or utensils doesn’t cause this disease. It will vanish forever, if treated at once. However, it can be reinfected if exposed to the bacteria through new syphilis sore. It can also spread, if transmitted by direct touch or contact with Syphilitic sore via anus, skin surface, vagina, mouth and lips. It is very rare though that syphilis can be spread during a kiss.

Syphilis can live within the body for months, even years or decades. Initially, it remains as a painless sore on the genitals like anus, vagina, mouth or skin surface. If present for many years, there is an increased risk of contracting HIV.

Causes
The major causes of syphilis are unsafe sex with homosexual partners and the practice of having unprotected sex like anal, vaginal and oral sex. Individuals who have multiple sexual partners and are specially sexually linked to HIV-infected persons have the highest risk of contracting Syphillis.

It can not only be spread through multiple sexual unsafe intercourses, but also has its high risk in spreading from mother to baby during pregnancy, commonly unknown as congenital syphilis. In such cases, the baby has low birth weight and can develop cataract, deafness or seizures. In some cases, even new born babies die from the disease.

Diagnosis
The doctor will first conduct a physical examination of the patient. Thereafter, blood and urine are collected for bacterial test. If a sore is found on the body, the doctor may collect a sample from the sore to examine the presence of syphilis bacteria. If there are nervous system disorders in the patient, a spinal tap or lumbar puncture is done to collect the spinal fluid. The fluid is then tested for syphilis bacteria.

Treatments for syphilis
Initially, syphilis is treated with penicillin. It has to be kept in mind that long-term exposure to the disease can have life-threatening consequences. Patients suffering from syphilis are either given a single dose or multiple doses of penicillin. The quantum of the dose depends on the nature of symptoms and the infection. Individuals must use condoms to reduce the risk of transmitting the disease while having sexual intercourse. In the case of penicillin allergy, the patient is recommended to have alternative medicines. Infants and newborns born with syphilis undergo antibiotic treatment.

Sir my sisters daughter is not going for bathroom since 4 days she is 45 days old plzz help.
Look for her hydration. If she is well hydrated, put your hand at her lower middle abdomen if you feel it tense, it means urine is retained in bladder. Even otherwise too, consult pediatrician immediately.

The symptoms of menopause include: ? Inhibition of menstrual phase of the reproductive cycle. ? Vaginal dryness. ? Loss of hair on the head and sometimes, spur of hairs on face. ? Mood swings. ? Hot flashes or night sweating. ? Abnormal weight gain. The symptoms of menopause can be highly distressing and may be alleviated by consuming a balanced and proper diet. Some of the foods that must be included in the diet of women undergoing menopause are melons, bananas, salmon, cabbage, cucumber, seaweeds, pumpkin, and apricots. There are also some foods that should be avoided or consumed in restricted quantities during this period. The foods that must be limited in the diet of menopausal women are: ? Potatoes must be restricted in diet. ? The amount of intake of caffeine must be limited and as such, the consumption of coffee, tea, and colas must be checked. Green tea can be a substitute for coffee. ? Refined foods must also be restricted in the diet. The most common refined food used in the households is refined oil like sunflower oil. It is recommended that you substitute these oils with unprocessed oils like wheat germ oil, virgin olive oil and flax oil. ? Women undergoing menopause must also cut back on their consumption of spicy foods. These foods may cause an inflammation of the lower part of the reproductive tubes, thereby aggravating the symptoms of menopause. ? Chocolates must also be restricted in the diet of women during menopause. ? Women in this phase of their lives are also advised to cut down on the intake of raw bran as this may inhibit calcium absorption leading to a weakening of the skeletal system. ? It is also recommended that you restrict the consumption of saturated fats like cheese and butter. ? Limit your intake of alcohol. ? Women must also limit their intake of salt as excessive consumption of salt may cause increases in blood pressure, palpitation, and other heart ailments.
