You need to be assessed by a speech therapist first. After his inputs, for further management you need consultation from a psychiatrist.

A Poem By a Psychiatrist

(MRCPSYCH-UK), MD - Psychiatry, MBBS

A Poem By a Psychiatrist
A POEM BY A PSYCHIATRIST

Welcome my dear patient,Confide in me your suffering.

My decades of long study, and my hard, exhaustive training, is always at your service.

But understand this, my friend That I am not God, but neither am I the Devil!

My sleep at night, I give up, and my time with my family too.

I sacrifice my own health, sometimes, in order to heal you.

These sacrifices I don’t regret.

But understand this, my friend That I am not God, but neither am I the Devil!

I shall treat your illness, every night and day.

But will you get well by it? I confess, I cannot say.

“What do you mean?” You ask.

My answer is, my friend That I am not God, but neither am I the Devil!

You may get better, your health, vigor renewed,

Your eyes will then be filled, with tears of gratitude.

I do not deserve those tears.

Offer them to God,my friend, for I am not God, but neither am I the Devil!

I merely give you medicine, as my Teaching would tell me to.

But God is really the one who restores health back to you.

He deserves the credit.

Understand this,my friend That I am not God, but neither am I the Devil!

The same medicine that healed you, may, also sadly,

Unexpectedly and without warning, cause illness in another.

It’s all Destiny and God’s will.

That’s the truth,my friend That I am not God, but neither am I the Devil!

Illness, health, life & death, are decided by Fate, you see.

They cannot be guaranteed, neither by you, nor me.

As your well-wishing PSYCHIATRIST AND DOCTOR, I can only try my best.

Accept this, my friend That I am not God, but neither am I the Devil!

So shower me, my dear patient, neither with praise nor hatred.

Try to understand & remember,

This cardinal truth instead, I am a human being like you,

Imperfect &mortal, my friend That I am not God, but neither am I the Devil!

Medical errors

Deaths by medical mistakes hit records
Tejal Gandhi, MD, president, National Patient Safety Foundation
Tejal Gandhi, MD, president of the National Patient Safety Foundation and associate professor of medicine, Harvard Medical School, spoke at the hearing.
The way IT is designed remains part of the problem
WASHINGTON | July 18, 2014

It's a chilling reality – one often overlooked in annual mortality statistics: Preventable medical errors persist as the No. 3 killer in the U.S. – third only to heart disease and cancer – claiming the lives of some 400,000 people each year. At a Senate hearing Thursday, patient safety officials put their best ideas forward on how to solve the crisis, with IT often at the center of discussions.

Hearing members, who spoke before the Subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging, not only underscored the devastating loss of human life – more than 1,000 people each day – but also called attention to the fact that these medical errors cost the nation a colossal $1 trillion each year.

In USA, no MBBS doctors can practice, all should be specialists and highly qualified. No Homeopaths, No ayurvedic or anyone else can practice . Strict Laws, compensation in millions of dollars but still 4lakh people die of medical errors.

In India, RMP doctos, Tenth pass, Twelveth Pass, pharmacists, psychologists, compounders, MBBS doctors, homeopaths, Ayurvedic doctors all prescribing allopathic medications, with cross specialty practice -ie. a cardiologist or a gastroenterologist practicing or prescribing other speciality medications.

So inreality, Indian "doctors" medical errors may cost much more lives than the USA.

I am 26 yrs old and I have a habit of smoking. I want to quit it completely. Please suggest any medicine or any other way to do so.

(MRCPSYCH-UK), MD - Psychiatry, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Hyderabad
If you are an occasional smoker - with public messages, health awareness programs and your own doctors advice, you can quit. If you are a regular smoker, motivational therapy with a trained psychotherapist or a psychiatrist and enormous will power will help you quit. If you are a diseased smoker, consult a de addiction psychiatrist at the earliest. He may give you anti-addiction medications and de addiction treatment. Medicines like bupropion and verinicline also help in treating addiction of smoking. One can get the prescription of the same from a qualified psychiatrist.
