Yes there is no problem in taking coconut water daily. Take more n more fibrous food. Avoid spicy and oily food. Drink plenty of liquids. For backache you may go for massage with mahanarayan tail. Calcium supplements can also b added.

1. Masturbation is a normal way of relieving sexual tension. 2. It is, not harmful if done in moderation, preferably 1-2 times a week. 3. Excess indulgence may cause physical problem like weakness, tiredness, loss of memory, lack of energy, lack of concentration, behavioural disorder, stress, depression, and sexual problem like erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, testicular pain, decrease sperm count. I am a long distance runner. Run approx 10 km on an average 5 times a week. But I am experiencing tremendous pain in the ITBS since a last few months. Every time I run a half marathon I get swelling in the ITBS and I have been taking enough rest but the pain aggravates again if I commence running. I can't afford to stop running and need a permanent resolution. Please help!

Unfortunately ITB pain has the potential to be a long term problem if you don’t get on the front foot and take action at the first sign of a problem. Of course, it should go without saying that taking these actions on a weekly basis even BEFORE the first sign of a problem is the best plan of attack!

Hello doctor good evening. I am 50 years old woman and diabetic patient. I came to know about it just three months back because my shoulder was paining. Right now I am taking me dicine. Normally without clinical examination its difficult to tell you how many days for you to be alright with your shoulder pain that too without any x ray or mri reports generally if you have severe pain stop doing any exercise to that particular joint regarding lab tests it would be more accurate if is by nabl certified laboratory.

Common Hand Pain - Causes And Treatment

The hand is one of the most commonly used parts of our body and is susceptible to damage, wear and tear as well as injury. Pain in the hand can be attributed to numerous causes, including damage and other conditions that can affect the joints, cartilage, nerves and other parts of the hand. Causes:

De Quervain's tendinitis: This is also known as de Quervain's tendinosis. It causes pain on the thumb side of the wrist. The pain may grow slowly or suddenly. It can also spread to every part of the thumb and up the lower arm. On the off chance that you have de Quervain's tendinitis, you may experience pain while performing the following actions:

  • Clenching The fist
  • Handling on or holding objects
  • Turning the wrist

Treatment for this includes the following:

  • Wearing a prop to rest the thumb and wrist
  • Calming drugs
  • Cortisone infusions

Carpal tunnel disorder: This is common amongst the well-known nerve issues. It can cause pain in the following parts of the hand:

  • Palm and a few fingers
  • Wrist
  • Lower arm

The treatment methods includes the following:

  • Resting the hand and wrist
  • Painkillers
  • Wrist support
  • Steroid infusions
  • Active recuperation
  • Breaks

Fracture: It's a crack or break in a bone that can cause immense pain in the hand. Other than this, the hand may also experience the following:

  • Stiffness
  • Swelling
  • Loss of proper motion and movement

The kind of treatment depends on the kind of fracture. Braces are usually used for small fractures. Sticks, wires, or plates might be used to treat severe fractures. Likewise, surgery may also be recommended to set the broken bone properly.

Arthritis: This is a disease causing joint inflammation and stiffness of the joints. It causes the joints to lose the ligament that permits them to move easily against each other. This tears the ligament, giving rise to crippling pain and swelling.

In the hand, the regions where this regularly happens are as follows:

  • Base of the thumb
  • Center joint of one or more fingers
  • End joint, which is nearest to the fingertip

The treatment depends on the seriousness of the injury and the following may be used:

  • Painkillers
  • Props for the fingers or wrist
  • Heat
  • Non-intrusive treatment

Trigger finger: Also known as stenosing tenosynovitis, this defect causes the fingers or the thumb to bend. It can be difficult, particularly when bowing or fixing the influenced finger or thumb.

Knobs may form on the influenced ligaments. Also, the sheath itself may thicken. In the long run, the ligament may get to be adhered when you attempt to fix a twisted finger or thumb. Learn more about Ligament Injury.

Resting now and again while wearing a support may help resolve the issue. Over-the-counter torment pharmaceuticals can facilitate the agony. Corticosteroid infusions can mitigate side effects. No use of applying oinments that is never going to solve your problem. As you are a younger boy start doing streching exercises for your back and also for abdomen then followed by strengthening exs of back then abs. But see to that initially do not strain your back by doing beyond your pain limit. Never go in for any bouncing streches, try to stay at one particular exs position for about 20 counts initially later you can increase it.

If there is no history of any injury to the affected knee and there are no s/s of either inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness, local warmth etc, my advice will be: - to start with intensive physical therapy - gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol whichever suits you - adequate calcium and vitamin d intake - activity modification as in to stop physical activities which increases pain till you feel better let me know in 2-3 weeks time how you are feeling otherwise we will get some x rays and blood tests for you. Back Pain - Ayurvedic Remedies for Managing it!

One of the most common complaints of men and women is that of a back ache with lower back aches being the most common. Apart from an improper posture, this may be caused by old age, lifting heavy weights or an injury to the back. A consistent back ache can affect your daily life and make performing regular tasks uncomfortable. Luckily, it can be managed quite well with simple ayurvedic remedies.
According to Ayurveda, backaches are triggered by an excess of Vata dosha. Thus, the Ayurvedic remedies for a back ache aim at reducing the Vata dosha. Ayurvedic remedies are natural and have negligible side effects.

For this reason, they can be prescribed to both children and adults. Some such remedies are:

  1. Cut down on spices: One of the main characteristics of the Vata dosha is dryness. This can be caused by pungent spices such as wasabi and green or red chillies. The internal dryness caused by these spices can lead to constipation which in turn can be one of the causes of low back aches. Hence, if you suffer from a chronic backache that may or may not be accompanied by constipation, cut back on the spices and try eating food that is slightly blander.
  2. Eat food before it gets cold: Eating cold food or cold drinks can also increase the Vata dosha levels in our body. Coldness creates congestion and constricts the internal organs while warm food allows the digestive and stool carrying channels to stay open. This allows for the easy expulsion of waste and reduces toxins in the body. Hence, opt for warm drinks like tea or coffee instead of soft drinks and juices and try to eat your food while it is hot.
  3. Padahastasana or the standing forward fold pose: This yoga asana is very effective when it comes to treating back pain as it allows the Vata dosha to flow easily through the body. In doing this it opens up the digestive channels that may have been causing constipation and back pain. It also relieves problems associated with sciatica. To practise this asana begin by standing upright with your feet beside each other. While inhaling, lift your arms over your head till they touch your ears. Bend forward from your hips while exhaling and try to keep the back and your legs straight. Touch the floor or wrap your hands around your calves. Bring your head as close to the knees as possible and hold for 5 – 10 seconds. Inhale and the slowly roll your body upright again. At the bottom of my legs just above the ankle and upto the knee, when I press my leg near the bone it hurts very much and problem is in both legs, everything is normal and I don't have any pain but even slight pressing is hurting me, what can be the cause and cure, please help, it's been 6 months since I am observing this problem.

Hi apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

Stiffness & pain in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
