I am 16 years old. I sometimes feel a sharp pain in my chest sometimes in the left side but more often in the right side. It pains for 8 to 10 seconds and then stops. I am fit and fine but only the heart pains sometimes. Additional information: I have acnes (like 2 to 3 are produced in 10 days and it is significantly reduced as compared to a year ago). You improve your concentration by pranayam and yoga. Apart from this you have to be away from face book whats app and many more these kind of internet activities. Instead involve in some out door sport this will help you to regain memory.

Five food groups namely  cereals (like rice, wheat in any form, oats in any form ), pulses  (like any dal), vegetables, fruits and animal protein  (meat, fish, egg, milk in any form )should be present in adequate amount in the food of your baby. Basic principles of feeding are 1) it should be acceptable I. E. Kids should like eating it. 2) tolerable i.e. After  eating if baby develop abdominal distension,  vomiting, loose stool,  rash that means your baby can't tolerate the product.  3) appropriate consistency I. E. Porridge like with gradual change so that by the age of 2 normal adult foods can be given to the kids.  4) all the food groups should be present in the menu of whole day. Antacids and digestive enzymes can be given for acidity and digestive problem.

Dear doctors, My baby is just started her 4th month. But past 15 days she always screaming loudly. And crying more. She already suffering in evening colic problem now morning also she always screaming loudly. I saw my paediatrician but he is not giving any medicines and he just saying it will like this only. I am unable to manage her alone in morning times as she always shouting. I am very very depressed and worried about my Little girl. Kindly advise if this is normal and it will cause any problem to her health.

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
There are some babies difficult to manage, since no one knows exact etiology. But rest assured, if your child is growing well despite this issue, there is nothing wrong with the child. Just a passing phase, child will grow out of it. Talk with the child to give her assurance, though she will not understand the verbal communication, she will understand nonverbal communication, body language. Sometimes parental anxiety makes the things worse. If the parents, the base on which children rely, look anxious and panicked, children feel more insecure and cry a lot.

Importance of Babies-DENTAL HYGIENE.

Importance of Babies-DENTAL HYGIENE.

Many parents mistakenly assume that baby teeth aren't important because they are eventually replaced by permanent teeth. In fact, early dental decay not only threatens the underlying secondary teeth, it can cause severe toothaches.

As soon as the first tooth comes in, parents should begin practicing preventive dental hygiene. Babies should not be permitted to fall asleep while nursing or sucking a bottle; this allows milk to pool in the mouth, and the sugar[lactose] in it can cause extensive tooth decay.

Offering a little water at the end of a feeding rinses any remaining milk from the baby's mouth. The gums and emerging teeth can be wiped gently with a gauze-wrapped finger.

Sugar is the major cause of childhood tooth decay; avoid offering sugary soft drinks and sweet snacks. A chunk of cheese or a piece of fruit are better alternatives that provide important nutrients without harming the teeth.

MBBS, MD
Pediatrician, Gurgaon
He is on breast or stoped. Now he is supposed to eat food himself by his hand. So just keep thali in front of him on table and ignore him. Don't teach pamper or request him. You will find he will start eating graduallly. In next 15 days.

My almost 2 year old does not sleep through out the night. He is cranky between 2 to 5 in the morning. I give him milk twice in between sleeps yet he is cranky or crying what would be the reason.

MD - Paediatrics, MBBS

Most likely he may be sleeping for long hours in day so he is alert in night. Keep him busy in play or activities & avoid sleep more than 1 hour in day.
