Feeling stressed during exams is normal but too much anxiety reduces efficiency. Take adequate sleep. Make a workable time table to cover the topics to be prepared. Take time to relax by way of exercise or sports or a creative hobby like singing/ dancing etc regularly. Detressing yourself prevents stress from building up. Talk to famiky or friends. If anxiety is too much and you are unable concentrate or sleep, seek professional help.

Dear Mr. Lybrate-user. As your age is 19 years only I would advise you to join a gym. You also need homeopathic mother tincture fucus ves q, 30 drops in water after lunch. This will act as fat-cutter along with exercise. In order to increase your memory power you should take homeopathic mother tincture ashwagandha q, 60 drops in water after dinner.

1) I m 29 years old and I am suffering from allergy (pitth) in hindi and I am using atarax 25 tab. Which gives me temporary relief and the itching start again. Please advise what should I do? 2) my brother in law age 23, he is to have alcohol a lot from last 8 yrs but he stopped now before 3 months back and his behavior is very silent and he never talks before he is to do. What will b the reason. Please advice and provide some medical prescription.

Hi , you need to find out the reason behind your allergy. Pitth can happen because of several reasons and you need to find out exactly what is the reason in your case. And for your brother in law, he might be suffering from what is known as" withdrawal symptoms, which is common after quitting alcohol. Sir/madam, aftr having meals it feels like urge to go bathroom. Gas,bloating, flatulence,when I ve to release gas a war type sound comes frm different parts of stomach after releasing I feel relax. Okay. I can not remember where I put my things just after few minutes and also before when I study I remember everything even if I read once and now I can not do that even if I read several times. Also I forget easily like things what I was supposed to do even just after few minutes I planned to do that. Like I planned to call someone but forget after 5 mins. I tried to relax and no tension but still something happen. This is happening since 4 months back. But never before that. What is happening with me. Am I getting brain sickness?

Dear lybrate user, welcome to lybrate. At your age, memory problems like amnesia, dementia or alzheimer's are not common. Many young people do complain having problems with memory. These problems are due to either they are too busy or due to anxiety and stress. Busy people use organizers or employ a personal assistant because they can't remember every task. You need to understand this. If you still say, you are having memory problems, we need to check your memory using memory test. Anyhow, there is nothing to worry. Most of the psychological problems can be cured with scientific therapy methods. Take care.

I have a anatabuse / disulfiram implant in my body, and am still drinking alcohol. Exactly what damage am I doing to what organs?

You are putting your liver and nerves at risk for serious damage. Also you are putting yourself at risk for a severe disulfiram reaction which could lead to fall in blood pressure and sudden death too.

Try to start your day early in the morning. Write down the things that you want to do during the day, and follow that routine. Have healthy food and on time. Have plenty of water. You need some physical exercise, like walk, jog, run, cycling, gym, yoga. Choose whatever you like and do it. This will help you in releasing your stress and when the body is tired it will help you in having a good sleep. It appears that you are having lots of tension/stress. Please try to analyse the causes and contributing factors of your stress. Try to search for best options to reduce this stress. Share your emotional burden with family and friends whom you trust. If all this does not help then talk to a counsellor who will help you in understanding and managing stress which will result in you having peace of mind and getting required sleep. All the best.

Dear lybrate-user, this is not a mental problem. It may be due to some hormonal changes and this is common in this age, you first try to control seeing porn movies and clips. This will mostly occurs while you are alone, so please spend time with your friends and relatives. Concentrate in some other work its also help you to reduce this thought. Try to reduce it, If you can not reduce this activity then consult with psychologist for counselling they will provide you solution.

It is not advisable to go on depression medication as they do have side effect and gettting off them will be very difficult and slowly you will have to increase your dose. I would strongly suggest you to conult a psychologist instead who can help you learn some technique to learn stress management and over come depression. Please try following things on a daily basis and it will help as well. If you are not able to cope and need further support feel free to book an audio consultation with me. When we have these negative thoughts, most of the time it is associate with some fear or loss, it may be associated with something which happend in your life. When our mind is hooked into past it is normal to have lot of negative thoughts and in turn feeling low. The good news is that our mind could be wired to switch back to positive things and resilience building. We have immense potential within us and we could tap into those one step at a time, one day at a time. When things does not happen as we wish or people do not behave as we expect that is when out of disappointment, frustration, loneliness, anger, sadness. Etc we react and our mind starts thinking negative thoughts. Changing this pattern of responding to stressful situation requires both persistence and patience. Also you will only be able to work on this out of love and kindness towards you. Strong motivation will go a long way. Writing a statement about how would you want to respond in a similar situation and how will your life and your happiness will change if you do learn to manage your stress and how to respond to it. Once that is clear. Try following things to learn relaxation response which leads to better coping mechanism on a daily basis. To begin with doing guided progressive muscular relaxation before sleeping will help you relax. You could google and download an audio file. I would also suggest you to take a multiple small break to take 3 nice and deep breath while keeping your eyes closed. You could do this while sitting or standing or while even walking or climbing stairs (keep your eyes open in that case). When you take a nice and deep break there is actual physiological change in your body. This will help you to activate parasympathetic nervous system which promotes relaxation and helps you calm down and think more clearly. This will also actually improve your performance in your work. Along with this exercise is one of the best way to relive stress and stay fit. Engage in any kind of physical activity at least 4 times a week. This also helps in stress reduction. Along with this some relaxation exercises as well as engaging in joyful activities such as music, singing, dancing, reading, being in nature, gardening, talking with friends or anything which you enjoy will help reducing stress and rejuvenation of your mind and body. Have good routine for sleep and eating. Lot of research has now proven that sugar is very harmful for our health. Reduce sugar and refined white floor in your diet as much as you could. Along with this also increase consumption of raw vegetables in the form of salad in both the meals of your day. Let me. Know if you need any further help. Hope this helps wishing you very best.

You are feeling stress because your are unable to divide your time between personal life and professional life. I understand that the work demands more from you. But you should understand that your brain and body needs some rest so that it can re gains its energy levels. Firstly, don't take tension of work completion, and use your time peacefully and plan things. You get better ideas when you are not disturbed. Try to take time out of your busy schedule to relax yourself. Maybe you can go out for a movie, dinner or just family or friends outing. Just take few hour from your busy schedule. You will see things will change and you can work better and happily.

First, for immediate relief, see a general physician to diagnose the cause and give you some stress relieving medicines. Physician can guide you best. Next, you may see a psychologist to help you overcome stress by counselling/psychotherapy and relaxation training. Definitely, you should feel better. Plus, you do pranayaam as taught by baba ramdev daily. Very very effective- esp anulom-vilom and bramri and udgit. You will get miraculous results!

It' s probably because of his unstable environment or troubled relationships. He needs to check into a good rehabilitation center in order to be treated holistically. He should also be receiving psychotherapy.

I am unable to focus for long hours and I am worried because my mbbs 1st year exams are in a week and I need to be focused for long duration. I am practicing meditation and I am able to do it for more than 20 minutes. I am unable to study for more than 4 hours continuously. Kindly advise.

Dear, you must be able to understand concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Prefer keeping yourself is a dangerous thing. Last year this incident happened. But up to that you think about that it is not good thing as per my advise. What is happend that is over. Why we think. If we think he will come back then we think. Nothing come back. Everybody must respect the natural law. Nobody should not excepted from the natural law. So respect the gods order. And follow our regular work schedule. Develop busy schedule. Be friendly with others. Be happy all the time. Best of luck. Best wishes.
