Eat a lot of good things - you need to eat a ridiculous amount of calories (probably 3500+ per day) if you want to gain weight, but you want to make sure most of those calories are good calories. You could easily get 3500 calories eating taco bell and twinkies, and drinking mountain dew, but that will just make you fat. If you want to build muscle, you want to eat healthy calories that are loaded with good protein, good carbs, and healthy fats? which brings me to my next point? protein = building block for your muscles. Chicken, fish, meat, eggs, milk, almonds, peanuts. Eat lots of this sleep? you need to be getting 8-9 hours of sleep every night for maximum gains. Your body is doing nothing but lying there and building muscle while you? re sleeping. If you are only getting 6 hours or less, you? re not going to get all the benefits of your exercising and diet. I know it? s tough, but those 3am raids on runnyeye need to be put on hold for a few months. Sleep. For ayurvedic medicine consult, in 1 month wt increase 4-5 kg no any side effect you take 1 month trial pack and course is 3 month.

Crohn's Disease - What All Should You Know

Crohn's Disease - What All Should You Know

Crohn’s disease is a condition characterized by the inflammation of the digestive tract or gut. The inflammation caused by Crohn’s disease can lead to severe diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fatigue, malnutrition and weight loss. It is also known as enteritis or ileitis.

Crohn's disease is a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) out of the two main forms. The other form is known as Ulcerative Colitis.

Causes-
The accurate cause of Crohn's disease remains unknown even today. Formerly, stress and diet were made accountable, but now it is known that these factors aggravate it but are not responsible for causing Crohn's disease. Factors such as heredity and an abnormal reaction in the immune system play a role in the development of this disease.

A bacterium or virus may also play a role in its development. For instance, E. coli bacteria has been associated with Crohn's disease. Smoking can be another risk factor.

Symptoms
Crohn’s Disease is known to be a very individual condition. It can effect any part of the gut, starting from the mouth and down to the anus. In the most common cases, however, the ileum (the lower part of the small intestine) or colon (part of the large intestine) is majorly affected.

Its symptoms may vary from person to person, and depend on the location of the disease in the gut. Crohn’s disease develops gradually, but sometimes it comes suddenly, without any warning. Symptoms exhibited change over time, with intervals of good health when your body shows no symptoms (remission) and periods of bad health when your symptoms are more vigorous (‘flare-ups’ or relapses).

Some of the major symptoms of Crohn’s disease when it is active are:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhoea
  • Fever
  • Tiredness
  • Fatigue
  • Anal Fistulae
  • Mouth ulcers
  • Loss of appetite and weight loss
  • Perirectal Abscesses
  • Anaemia

Patients suffering from severe Crohn's disease also may experience:

  • Inflammation of the bile ducts or liver
  • Inflammation of eyes, joints and skin
  • Delayed sexual development or growth, in children

Diagnosis
There is no specific diagnostic test known for Crohn’s disease. Patients with fever, abdominal pain and tenderness, diarrhoea with blood, and anal diseases such as ulcers are sometimes diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Elevated white blood cell counts and sedimentation rates are mostly demonstrated in laboratory blood tests. Both of which suggest infection or inflammation in the digestive tract. Other blood tests may reveal low blood proteins, low red blood cell counts (anaemia), and low body minerals, reflecting the loss of these minerals due to chronic diarrhoea.

Conclusion
Although many effective medications are available in the market to control the symptoms of Crohn’s disease, yet there is no cure developed for it. Surgery can extensively improve the quality of life in certain individuals, but the reappearance of this disease after surgery is familiar to many. A better insight into the role of environmental factors and genetics in causing this disease can help in improved treatments and prevention.

Hello, dietary modifications are required to tackle acidity issues. Avoid excess tea/coffee, spicy and oily foods and carbonated beverages. Smoking and alcohol intake worsen peptic ulcer disease. Maintain a time gap of 1-2 hours between dinner and sleep. Take plenty of fluids. Regards.

Ayurveda Can Seriously Help in Treating Acidity

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Ayurveda Can Seriously Help in Treating Acidity

Unhealthy and sedentary lifestyle combined with bad eating habits are majorly responsible for acidity in people today. It is experienced not only by the people of upper age groups, but also by children as they eat a lot of junk food outside.

Acidity happens due to excess secretion of acid by the gastric glands of the stomach. If you have upper abdominal discomfort or pain, stomach fullness, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, belching, water brash or irregular bowel movement, then you must be suffering from acidity or gastritis.

According to Ayurveda, the main cause of this condition is the worsening of the Pitta Dosha (the fire element) in your body. The reasons that worsen this dosha are:

  1. Having foods that don't match your constitution or which aren't supposed to be taken together like milk and salt or milk and fish.
  2. Smoking, excessive intake of coffee, tea and alcohol.
  3. Intake of extremely spicy and sour beverages and foods.
  4. Consuming white flour products, especially products made from white sugar.
  5. Having food even though you may be suffering from indigestion
  6. Controlling the urge to urinate or pass stool
  7. Prolonged exposure to heat and the sun

What does worsening Pitta Dosha do to your digestive power?
The exacerbated Pitta worsens your digestive fire, causing your food to be not properly digested as well as influence the production of ama (toxins). When ama builds up in your digestive channels, it brings about the problem of hyperacidity. The treatment focuses on calming down the irritated Pitta Dosha. For this, certain herbs are used to get rid of the toxins that block these channels. This automatically improves your digestive fire, inducing better digestion.

What changes you're required to make?

To keep this problem at bay, there are certain lifestyle changes that you may have to make such as: Practice yoga and Pranayam like Bhujangasana, Vajrasana, Shitkari Pranayam and so on. Avoid fermented as well as processed foods. Avoid coffee, tea, alcoholic or carbonated beverages. Curb the consumption of acidic foods like garlic, onions, ginger, vinegar, and tomatoes. Also, avoid having curd / yogurt at night.

Pain, fever and vomiting means a low grade infection such as appendicitis, mesenteric lymphadenitis or a meckel's diverticulum infection. Get a blood test for wbc count and crp, esr. Does she have exposure to tuberculosis. Also a stool examination to rule out amoebiasis.
