High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. Thank you for the query autosomal dominant polycyclic kidney disease, presents very commonly with 3 features - hematuria (blood in urine), pain in the loins (due to increasing kidney size) and hypertension. Often fever may occur due to infection of the cysts. Please get a serum urea and creatinine done to check the kidney status and a urine for routine examination. Ultrasonography may be done once a year at least to check the progression of the disease. You need to consult a nephrologist for further advise. Continue with her cardiac medications and get her bp checked at regular intervals. Regards

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is high blood pressure in the arteries to your lungs. It is a serious condition. If you have it, the blood vessels that carry blood from your heart to your lungs become hard and narrow. Your heart has to work harder to pump the blood through. Over time, your heart weakens and cannot do its job and you can develop heart failure. Symptoms of PH include Shortness of breath during routine activity, such as climbing two flights of stairs Tiredness Chest pain A racing heartbeat Pain on the upper right side of the abdomen Decreased appetite As PH worsens, you may find it hard to do any physical activities. There are two main kinds of PH. One runs in families or appears for no known reason. The other kind is related to another condition, usually heart or lung disease. Treatments can control symptoms. They involve treating the heart or lung disease, medicines, oxygen. First you need to find out where the problem is. So get a ECG and 2D echocardiography done and a PFT.

Ayurveda,
Blood pressure is the measure of the force of blood pushing against blood vessel walls. The heart pumps blood into the arteries (blood vessels), which carry the blood throughout the body. High blood pressure, also called hypertension, is dangerous because it makes the heart work harder to pump blood to the body and contributes to hardening of the arteries, or atherosclerosis, and to the development of heart failure. Reason or cause of High Blood Pressure: The exact reason or causes of high blood pressure are not known, but several factors and conditions may play a role in its development, including: Smoking Being overweight or obese Lack of physical activity Too much salt in the diet Too much alcohol consumption (more than 1 to 2 drinks per day) Stress Older age Genetics Family history of high blood pressure Chronic kidney disease Adrenal and thyroid disorders The current medication for High B. P. Is appropriate. Please consult time to time with your cardiologist for further evaluation.

Sir my daddy is 76 years and he does not have BP nor Sugar. He is healthy aged man. But in June he suffered paralytic stroke and has a clot in his brain he was in Apollo hospital for 3 days and then discharged so our doctors for 2 months gave him medicines like Ecosprin 150 mg, Remetor 40 mg, Pantocid 40 and Thyronorm 12. 5 mcg. After 2 months Doctor changed my daddy's tablets he asked to stop using all the above medicines and just use Rosufit CV 10 mg everyday after lunch. Now after 1 month today when I went for regular check Doctor said my daddy BP was 120/84 and his pulse says frequent Ectopic. Even after discharge in june from hospital they placed Holter for 24 hrs and even that reading also said SV Ectopic beats 13, And 24 hrs holter analysis shows frequent VPC'S in the form of BIGEMINY NOTED, No runs of VS/SVT MAXIMUM HEART RATE 114 BPM, OCCASIONAL BRADYCARDIA MINIMUM HEART RATE 54 BPM, NO SIGNIFICANT PAUSE. Sir this above reading was in the month of June not todays. But today Doctor when he was holding my daddy hand to check his pulse he said Pulse frequent ectopic. And it's due to his old age and again changed the medicine from Rosufit CV to Rosuvas Gold. Sir I'm really worried because since June after he suffered paralytic stroke every month medicines are changing and I'm scared and worried. Sir as thyroid is borderline he is still advised to take thyronorm 12. 5 mcg and as it is just borderline and is that effecting his pulse? His thyroid is TSH is 5.07. Please tell me is there anything serious with my daddy's heath. Any serious heart or other problem will come or what? Not understanding just suffering. Please help. Thanking you.

Nothing much to worry. At his age, ectopics are quite common. The stroke could have been caused because of ectopics, as they alter hemodynamics of the blood vessels supplying the brain. Thus, the clot & paralytic stroke. Glad to learn he is recovering. He will be fine on these medications. Relax.

To solve this problem, * first you have to make your mind relaxed & free from all the thoughts. For that practice anulom-vilom pranayam in the morning for atleast 5-8 minutes daily. You can take a brisk walk for 10-15 minutes in the morning. It will lower down the stress hormones. * do yogasana namely padmasana & gorakshasana daily for 8-10 minutes. * do not make hurry in the sexual intercourse, take more time in the foreplay so that the complete erection occurs naturally. * take a sound sleep of 6-8 hours atleast. * avoid intake of peanuts, gur, til, garam masalas & tea or coffee for 4 weeks. * avoid watching any type of adult movies, books & any pictures. For medicines - stop taking shilajit capsules & take dhatupaushtik churn 1/3 teaspoon with milk in the morning after meals. Continue ashwagandha churn for 6-8 weeks.

CHOLESTEROL leave is 343.50 as per new reports and she is taking a medicine name crestor rosuvastatin 20 mg.
Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that occurs naturally in all parts of the body. Your body needs some cholesterol to work properly. But if you have too much in your blood, it can combine with other substances in the blood and stick to the walls of your arteries. This is called plaque. Plaque can narrow your arteries or even block them. High levels of cholesterol in the blood can increase your risk of heart disease. Your cholesterol levels tend to rise as you get older. There are usually no signs or symptoms that you have high blood cholesterol, but it can be detected with a blood test. You are likely to have high cholesterol if members of your family have it, if you are overweight or if you eat a lot of fatty foods. You can lower your cholesterol by exercising more and eating more fruits and vegetables. You also may need to take medicine to lower your cholesterol. High LDL cholesterol put you on a higher risk of atherosclerotic diseases and heart attacks especially if you have other is factors including hypertension diabetes or a history of smoking. I would advise you to increase your medication dose to 40 mg. Once a day also you need to start changing your dietary habits and include a regular physical exercise at least 45 minutes a day 5 days a week into your schedule nonetheless you have to stop taking fatty and junk food good luck.
