You need to avoid all packed and processed foods (foods purchased in ready to eat form). Have 50% of your food intake in the form of fruits, veggies, sprouts, nuts & seeds. Reduce food products, non-veg & eggs if you are eating.

Reduce animal fat in your diet and do cycling regularly check your lipids after 3 months drugs shoud be added only when these steps have not helped.

At this age high blood pressure generally develops because of stressfull life with irregular schedule inadequate sleep lack of exercise and eating junk food. You should modify your lifestyle to avoid all this. You should exercise regularly. Perform isotonic exercise like walking aerobic etc. Control fat and salt in diet. Drink adequate amount of water. Start meditation to relax your mind. If all these things don't help consult a physician/ cardiologist.

IN HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- Deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech.
