If there is immature cataract , there is no harm in waiting for another 2-3 months ,these days surgery is very much advanced , you need not require hospitalization

Went to a doc he gave me the following Ivepred, LCZ, Topicid and asked to avoid sunlight. I have never had this no asthma what could this be? Some home remedies he suggested none.

This looks like food allergy to diet in the previous night. Did you take prawns; shell fish sea fish etc. Lot of nonveg food especially cooked outside with coloring agents can cause this. Eat from home. Pain killers can cause skin swelling. But food is the first suspect.

I am 18 years old and I have high power spectacles and it is still increasing. So how can I control the increasing power?

Most likely you must have minus no (myopia). This will stop increasing after 20. You can use contact lenses which some time control increasing power.

I feel always eye pain when I am working on computer. I wear lens on both eyes. But also sometimes coming headache problem.

DNB Ophtalmology, MS - Ophthalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Delhi
Lybrate-user you may have computer vision syndrome. With computer use, it is advised you follow the 20-20-20 rule. It means-after every 20 minutes for 20 seconds look at a distance beyond 20 feet. Also try palming. Rub your hands to warm them and then cover your eyes. It will help relax your eyes. Get your eye power checked especially if your last eye checkup has been more than a year ago. Consider using a lubricating eyedrops. One you can use one r your contact lenses though. Get an eye exam if this does not help.

Please Tell me About "optical nerve regeneration" my uncle Lost the right eye vision due to accident. Doctor Told Us Tht the Optical Nerve damage. Is there any Treatment Please answer asap.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Neuroscience researchers has used a combination of gene therapy and visual stimulation to create a partial regeneration of damaged optic nerves in blind laboratory mice. Although this research is in its earliest stages and has been performed only with mice, the researchers are "cautiously optimistic" that these findings could one day be used to treat adult patients with vision loss caused by problems with the eye-brain connection – the optic nerve – such as glaucoma. But the it is still in research stage and not a treatment

Hello. It seems to be Floaters. Get your eyes tested from an Opthalmologist for right diagnosis. Eye floaters are small moving spots that appear in your field of vision. They may be especially noticeable when you look at something bright, such as white paper or a blue sky. Eye floaters can be annoying, but they generally don't interfere with your sight. But sometimes eye floaters are a sign of a more serious condition. Immediate visit to an opthalmologist is especially important if the floaters are accompanied by flashes of light or a loss of side vision. Causes of floaters: Most eye floaters are caused by small flecks of a protein called collagen. The back compartment of the eye is filled with a gel-like substance called vitreous humor. As you age, the vitreous and its millions of fine collagen fibers shrink and become shred-like. Shreds can accumulate in the vitreous. The clear vitreous gel which completely fills the back of the eye earlier in life decreases in size and no longer can fill this space…. It pulls away from the retina and it is often the areas of previous attachment to the retina which are seen as floaters as they now float freely in the vitreous gel. Rarely, eye floaters can result from other eye surgery or: Eye disease Eye injury Diabetic retinopathy Crystal-like deposits that form in the vitreous Eye tumors such as lymphoma (rarely) If they are bothersome, you can move them away from your field of vision by moving your eyes. This maneuver shifts the fluid in your eyes. Looking up and down is usually more effective than looking from side to side.

From 1 week I have noticed that when I am driving the bike some liquid comes out of my eye and also it pains please suggest what can be its reason.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Eyes water because , while driving the rate at which the eye dries up increases , hence of rate of secretion of tears also goes up. since we are not driving at a constant speed there is a mismatch between the tear secretion and eyes drying up . our body always tries to over perform. this over secreted tears is too much to handle by the normal tear route from the eyes to the nose. hence the excess tears overflow leading to watering. So it is a normal process.Dont worry about this.Your eyes are normal.
