If the cavity is small i mean when the cavity is within the enamel and dentin thn the teeth can be filled a cement if it is bit deep thn we can do pulp capping bt if it is already in pulp it needs to get treated with pulp therapy.

My son 4 year 5 months, he has tooth pain. Consulted a dentist he found cavity and 
prescribed an antibiotic and pain killer.
My doubt is this cavity can be filled or we need to do a root canal?
Now only cavity one teeth small cavity can without root canal treatment ?

Flap raising can be done, this is happening because of gum infections take an opg x-ray and check for the bone loss and advise for a flap surgery and placing bone graft . If left untreated tht can cause mobility of teeth and ends up in tooth loss
