Dear Kiran, go for Ayurveda's Panchkarma Therapy - We have many option for u - Kati Basti (Specialised Panchakarma procedure for Backpains), Localised Massgae with Herbal oils, Localised Medicated Steam, Pottali Massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax ur back muscles and give strength to ur nerves and muscles of back. also start some Yogic exercises - Tadasana, Dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Get your vitamin and calcium levels checked. Eating fresh fruits will help. You can take simple analgesics. Physiotherapy will be good for your knees. If the pain persists see an orthopedic surgeon.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicine rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. *take rest or move about once in 1-2 hours in case of working in a constant position. *maintain a good posture while reading or working with computers. *take a high fibre content diet like vegetables, fruits, etc.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

(a) sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. (b) use no pillow under the head. (c) kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days (d) do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises (e) make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take (f) do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. (g) if no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

You may apply sea same oil on knee at night and do massage above the knee and one inch above and one inch below knee and under the hollow portion of knee for 15 times at each point. Do it for one week and see the result. Call back.

Dear Mr. Sugunakar reddy, you are sufferring from primary osteoarthritis of the knee, most likely unicompartmental (medial). There are various methods of management like knee braces, physiotherapy, medications and synovial fluid replacement therapy by giving injections in the knee joint and surgeries like hto & unicondylar knee replacement. You need to be seen clinically and assessed for any further treatment based on your extent of cartilage damage.

I am 38 years old women I have back pain and leg pain for last three months what should I do?

Hi if you have localized back pain with - no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia, weakness in limbs etc, my advice is: - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home. - avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc - take an analgesic like diclofenac or something which suits your body for 5-7 days - take muscle relaxant for same time as analgesic to relieve muscle spasm - ice packs at the site of pain, muscle spasm - local analgesic spray can be used but no massage is required let me know how you are feeling. I will actually ask you to get x ray of involved region of spine (ap & lateral) and send reports across to me so that I can advise further in a better manner. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

I have an issue of chronic back pain. The pain extends from lower back extending upto the legs. The heels of the legs gives a pricking sensation. It's not disc problem as per scanning reports. The pain worsens with prolonged standing and sitting. What could be the reason?

Do take ust and laser therapy for pain relief for 12 days followed by strengthening exercise from neuro physiotherapist apply hot and cold water fomentation for thrice a day for 5 days regularly do revert back for further assistance best wishes.

Foot exercises. Do the following exercises barefoot: •1. First write digits 1 to 10 using your toes raised up in the air. •2. Sit on a chair, raise your toes and curl them •3. Pick up a small piece of cloth off the floor using your toes. •4. Still in a sitting position, point your toes and circle your ankles in a slow counter and clockwise motion. •5. Stand up from the sitting position and go on tip toe for 5 seconds.

I am 45 years old medium healthy female, housewife, busy with all household daily works and last 02 years suffering from more belly/stomach. Also earlier about 10 years before I had slip disc problem at l-4/l-5. Nowadays again severe backache I am facing. Please guide me and suggestion.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Well you have mentioned that you earlier were having same problem, but was it ok in between or do you have these symptoms off and on? also as you have also gained weight, the problems may intensify in the near future. Also degenerative changes in spine occur especially if disc spaces collapse because it increases overall pressure on facet joints of spine and adjacent discs as well. But my advise is that if your pain is still a localized lower back pain with no other leg pain, numbness or any other nerve related symptoms, then - start leading an active lifestyle which means daily walks for around 2-3 km in a day - intensive back exercises to strengthen your back muscles - abdominal strengthening and other general conditioning exercises - to maintain proper posture of your back at all times in a day - physical therapy with modalities can be done initially for some time although mainstay will remain your exercises - take anti-inflammatory medication for 5-7 days to get initial relief - maintain proper calcium and vitamin d intake also please get one digital x ray done and send both films and report to me x ray ls spine ( ap & lateral-flexion and extension views) do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
