Dear friend, please start taking balance diet and a lot of water daily, add some salads in this. Avoid food containing high calories. Start some physical exercise to burn extra fat deposit. Gradually increase the exercise tell your progress to guide further.

Hi If sugar is fasting 92.3 and fasting urine is nil and post sugar is 215.2 and post sugar urine is 0.5 is controlled by good diet and exercise please suggest me.

It will not effect on hormone but loads your kidney. Protein supplements should not be taken for a longer period of time. Take it if you have protein deficiency or else try to take high protein foods in your daily diet.

First we hav to work on ur digestive system...Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day...Follow up after 1week...drink plenty of fluids..avoid constipation.

Hi Doctors, I am maintain diet for past 10 days morn oats or ragi alternative days Afternoon three chapathi 1 egg white with vegetable and same for night. Mr. Lybrate-user, with diabetes, having a weight of 94 kgs, is not really good. It means he has a bmi of 32.52 kgs/m2, which is grade 1 obesity. This itself contributes to increased glucose level or not getting enough control on blood glucose. Taking home made pomegranate juice is fine, but there is should be no sugar in it, plus quantity should be limited. Also blood glucose should be in good control. At 170 cms height and with 70 years age, ideal body weight should be 63 kgs. Please keep that in mind. Thanks.

Dear Doctor My fasting blood sugar is 123 , and i have high to moderate BP for the past 3 months , i am on medication on BP for the last 2 months. Telma40 in the morning and amlong 5 mg in the night , despite medication my bp is hovering around 150/110 . Both my parents are not diabetic

From what u have sent it looks like u have prediabetes. Are u sure u taking the meds regularly? Such high BP in young age is not good for u in the long run. U may need some dose adjustment and also to find the cause of ur high BP. We need to look for the secondary causes of Hypertension since you are very young. You need a thorough evaluation - both clinical and biochemical. Kindly do it at the earliest.

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1.Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2.Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a.Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B.Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C.If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D.Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E.Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F.You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G.You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

Take protein rich food ---eggs, milk products, dry fruits, seeds, pulses, mutter, soya bean. Cereals, potatoes, sweet potatoes, plantains etc. Can be useful for gaining weight. Also take vegetables, greens and fruits. Have vigorous physical exercise to improve digestion and absorption of food as well as blood circulation. Eat at regular intervals. It is not healthy to reduce 22 kg in 3 months. You can follow a diet plan which will help you in loosing 4-5 kg in 1 month. Start you day with luke warm water then after freshen up have a cup of green tea + 5-6 soaked almonds then choose high fibre options in breakfast like oats, oats idly, oats cheela, 1 slice multigrain vegetable sandwich or high protein options like paneer salad, saute paneer or paneer multi grain sandwich, then in lunch have 1-2 chapati + veg+ salad+ curd then in evening have jasmine tea + 1-2 nutrichoice biscuits then have a light dinner like 1-2 bowl of vegetable soup + salad. Do not skip any meal, drink atleast 8-10 glass of water.

A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea C. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p.
